<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>

BWU-T D'IN7REÉIOII "A method of arranging and mounting dustbins or the like and apparatus thus obtained.
We know that in domestic housing it is necessary to have, normally in the kitchen, within easy reach, a receptacle for garbage, waste, etc. When the building or the pavilion are not 'equipped with' a garbage disposal system, in the kitchen itself, this problem is solved by removable bins.
By extension, in industry, laboratories, hospitals, etc ... the same problem of waste receptacle always ready to receive, is posed.
In domestic housing, the question is normally solved by a trash can placed under the sink, behind an ordinary door, in a garbage cupboard, etc ...
This device is extremely inconvenient when it comes to throwing waste in it by sliding it from a dish or a plate for example, you have to bend down and stand on top of the trash can by making the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
flat at the top of the closet. In fact, there can be no question of taking out the trash every time.
Certain devices have been designed to remedy this major defect, for example laboratory trash cans comprising a bucket with a lid controlled by a pedal. However, this device clutters the room and cannot normally be housed in a waste storage compartment.
Some household trash cans are hung on the inside door of the garbage cupboard door. By opening this door by sutoazx rotation of a vertical axis, the trash can appears and the trash can be thrown directly into it.
However, the forces of inertia to be overcome in order to maneuver the trash every time you want to throw away waste are far too great.
We had the idea of using a rectangular trapdoor system located in the facade of the pla card. This trap, rotating around a horizontal axis, can serve as a chute. Garbage is thrown there, which usually ends up in the trash.
The disadvantage of this installation lies in the poor distribution of the garbage in the bin, by accumulation at one point, and in the fact that the wet, dirty rubbish adhere to the chute and pollute it, this glui then obliges to wash it.
The object of the present invention is to remedy all these drawbacks in a very simple and very elegant manner.
It relates essentisllement to a method of housing and mounting a trash can or the like remarkable, in particular, in that it consists in mounting the trash or similar in a removable manner on a frame which is, on the one hand, tilting to release widely from the front of the cabinet or the like containing the frame, all or part of the entrance opening of the bin in order to allow to throw
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
very easily waste, and on the other hand, open or opening on one side at least for due the trash can be commo =.
-dément extracted from the frame, practically by a substantially horizontal translational movement.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the tilting axis of the chassis or the instantaneous axis of rotation of the latter is placed, on the one hand, notably below the bottom of the bin to reduce the tilting angle. and, on the other hand, in a way that the frame-trash can assembly has only two stable positions, the open position lice the reception of waste, and the closed position in normal times.
The invention also relates to a trash can or a similar device fitted according to the aforementioned method and remarkable in particular in that this trash can or the like is located on or in a frame eomportant means which, on the one hand, make it tiltable so as to release from the front of the cabinet containing the bin, all or part of the opening thereof, in order to allow the reception of the waste and, on the other hand, make it open or opening on one side at least so that the bin can be conveniently extracted from the frame by simple substantially horizontal translation.
The actual trash can, preferably in the form of a truncated pyramid, is removably placed in the frame and can be removed from this frame and put back in place not by a vertical movement, but what is essential, by a translation in a horizontal plane.
To achieve this result, essential for the convenience of frequent removal of the full bin, therefore heavy, the frame has a suitable opening on the front or even opens itself by release of the cabinet or the like, the aforementioned translation taking place, either from the rear to the front, or from the front to the rear, or laterally.
To routinely throw waste into the trash, the
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
the chassis is tilted vexa the front by a simple and easy maneuver, involving low forces of inertia.
We can somehow define the provisions according to the invention say that the bin with its frame is of the tilting type, in terms of its current service for the reception of waste, and of the open type for what is its drain.
Other characteristics of the invention will emerge from the description which follows.
In the accompanying drawing, given solely by way of dtexem- - !, the, Figure 1 shows in perspective a kitchen unit or the like with a bin according to the invention; Figure 1a is a similar view, the bin being ready to be released; Figure 2 is a partial city in elevation; Figure 3 is a section along the line 111-III of Figure 2; FIG. 4 is a plan view, the bin being tilted to throw waste therein; Figure 5 is a perspective of the frame; FIG. 6 shows the diagram of the forces; FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a variant showing the case of a bin released from behind; FIG. 8 is a similar view of another variant.
Following the example shown in Figures 1 to 6, the kitchen unit has a similar element 1 for example comprises a sink 2 under which is a puubelle 3. This trash-bin 3 is preferably in the form of a trunk of a pyramid and has a handle 4.
It is introduced into a frame 5 constituted for example (Figure 5) by two uprights 6 and 7 fixed to a cross member 8. At the lower part of the longitudinal elements 9 and 10 form lateral flanges connected to
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the rear by a transverse element 11. Bars 12, 13 complete the assembly.
At their upper part, the uprights 6 and 7 carry a strapping or a fitting 14 serving to embrace the waste bin and provided with cleats 15 and 16. The assembly is fixed to a beam 17 having substantially the shape of an inverted U and capable of - tilt around an axis XX using notches 18. Care will be taken to place this axis XX as low as possible with respect to the bottom of the bin.
A door 19 with a handle 20, fixed by hinges 21, 22, for example, closes the assembly and is kept in the closed position by means of an angled lever 23 articulated at 24 and provided with a hooking spout. at said door.
The center of gravity G of the bin-frame assembly (Figure 6) passes from the bin G1 (closed bin) to that shown at G2 (open bin), these two positions preferably being substantially symmetrical with respect to the vertical plane. - -oal passing through the XX axis.
The operation of the trash can is very simple.
To open and throw waste directly into the bin released from the front of the block, just pull on the handle 20 to tilt the frame-bin assembly 3, 5, a notable part of the opening, forward. de.la trash comes to the front of the facade at a, b, c, d (Figure 4), the frame-trash assembly remains open, in a stable position by leaning on the front stops 15, 16.
The movement of the center of gravity and the stable positions with unstable, intermediate positions are shown in figure 6.G goes from G1 to G2 and vice versa.
The trash frame assembly 3, 5, is normally located under the sink to recover this convenient place, or under any work surface formed by the top of a block or a low cupboard.
To take out the trash and empty it, just tip
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
the frame forward, then to unhook the door 19 by actuating the hook 23 which has become apparent. The door turns a quarter of a turn around axis 21-22 and that by itself, by its own weight. Ls trash 3 is then taken by the handle 20 ot raised to be released from the low front edge. The trash is completely out to be emptied.
To replace the bin, all you have to do is re-engage in the frame 5, between the uprights 6, 7. The bottom of the bin is through the rear edge wedged back by and forward by the edge 8. On the sides, the bin is wedged by the wings of montas ta 6, 7. At the top, the bin is wedged by the strapping 14.
If garbage accidentally passes over the edge of the bin, it falls under the frame 5 in a compartment 26 combined with the bin and closed by a door 27 tilting flat. To allow debris to fall, the bottom of the frame is designed as a grid.
From compartment 26, the occasional Shiites are easily picked up by sliding them onto the besculant door 27 and from there into the shovel.
This compartment is normally designed to receive the shovel and the refuse brush.
The amounts: 6, 7, and the front cross member 8, in the form of a beam, constitute a U-shaped assembly to allow the trash to pass through and very rigid for ciue the door 19 remains in place. This is the essential clearance opening discussed above.
The selected bin 5 preferably has the shape of a truncated pyramid. This form is, first of all, rational with draft to empty the garbage. In addition, it gives rise 6.7, trapezoidal rational from the point of view of bending (embedded in the cross member 8).
A control by pedal or by electric, hydraulic or pneumatic servomotor can also be provided to replace the opening and closing by the handle 20.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
We immediately see the big advantage of this new waste bin system, in particular the solution comprising a release opening towards the front, ie towards the center of the room.
First of all, from the point of view of the essential service of the trash can, it is obvious that to throw away waste it is enough to pull the frame towards you so that the trash can tilts out of the cupboard, releasing all or part of the front from the front. its entry opening, as high as possible, therefore within easy reach. waste is thrown straight away with great ease. The bin automatically remains in this stable position, bearing upright on its tilting axis and exerting no warping force.
To close the bin, it suffices to initiate the bottom -only reverse until the center of gravity exceeds the vertical plane of the tilting axis; the bin then closes by itself and its weight automatically keeps the front door mounted on the frame closed.
The trash can be released very easily by tilting the frame to the "open" position, by opening the front door and removing the trash can without having to lift it significantly.
In addition, in this solution, the trash can fill the volume of the cupboard as much as possible and no space is wasted.
The variant shown in FIG. 7 shows a frame formed by uprights 28, 29, and cross members 30 and 31; A support 32 carries the bin 3 and can tilt around an X-X axis. A door 33 is integral with the support 32. The bin is attached to this door 33 at 34 and 35.
The frame 28, 29, 30, 31, is articulated around a vertical axis Y-Y belonging to block 1.
It can be seen that the tilting movement will bring the pitch out of the block 1 and allow the easy deposit of waste.
The opening of the frame produced by its pivoting around the Y-Y axis. releases the rear of the chassis and allows extraction
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
of the bin either by lateral translation or by translstion towards the rear relative to the frame.
The variant shown in figure 8 shows the case where the frame with the bin are mounted in the manner of a drawer and can be released by translation forwards, after which the bin can be removed laterally.
As in the previous cases, the tilting system consisting of a support 32 and a door 33 on which the trash can 3 is fixed allows the normal operation of the device, savoix 'the frequent deposit of waste.
The extraction of the bin takes place after the movement of the frame 28, 29, 30, 31 out of the block, as shown in Figure 8, but without tilting.
Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments shown and described which have not been given by way of example.
