     d'une manière telle que leur vitesse s'accroît

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Afin qu'elle   puis     être bien   comprise ,   l'invention sera plus spécialement récrite ci-après en se   référant   au dessin -annexé qui représente partiellement une machine à envelopper des boîtes de cigarettes dans un emballage externe de papier transparent mince , et dans lequel :   Fig.I   est une vue en élévation latérale de la .machine comportant application de l'invention ;

     Fig.2   est une vue en coupe ,   pratiquée   suivant .la ligne A-A de la fig.I et dessinée à échelle réduite ;

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  IMPROVEMENTS TO PACKAGING MACHINES.?
The invention relates to packaging machines and its object is to provide means by which a stack of objects taken from a store can be debited from the latter so as to allow the engagement of an endless conveyor or of a similar device and the lowest object (s) after the latter (s) have received a first displacement, and the lowering into the store of the remaining objects of the stack with a minimum of vibration or shock
The invention consists of a packaging machine comprising means by which the lower object (s) of a stack formed in a magazine is or are removed therefrom,

     in such a way that their speed increases

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 gradually from rest to a maximum required,
The invention further consists of a packaging machine comprising means suitable for supporting the object occupying the internal position of a stack of objects placed in a store, and for lowering freely * and object in the field of. action of a conditioned device to remove the object from the magazine.

   The invention also resides in a packaging machine comprising means suitable for gradually lowering a stack of objects placed in a store, and for imparting an initial movement to that or those of the objects occupying the innermost position, in a direction transverse to that of movement of the objects in the store,
In order for it to be fully understood, the invention will be more specifically rewritten below with reference to the appended drawing which partially represents a machine for wrapping boxes of cigarettes in an outer packaging of thin transparent paper, and in which: Fig.I is a side elevational view of the machine comprising application of the invention;

     Fig.2 is a sectional view, taken along line A-A of fig.I and drawn on a reduced scale;
Fig.3 is a schematic elevational view, similar to Fig.I, but the members occupying different positions.

   Referring to the drawing, the packages I are placed one above the other in a vertical magazine 2 mounted above the apron 3 of a packing machine, and the packages are picked up at the base of magazine 2 by a pusher 4 carried by a chain 5 , '
In order to prevent the packages from falling with simultaneous shock, each time the lower package is removed by

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 the action of the pusher 4, there is provided a pair of cam-shaped members, s 6, one of which is arranged on each side of the magazine, and which gradually support and lower the packages on the apron of the machine.

   The front edges of the cam-shaped members conform so that when they enter the magazine they slowly drive the lower pack from the stopper accelerating its movement in the direction of movement of the pusher 4, and this pusher is adjusted in time so as to keep in contact with the rear end of the lower package when this half is approximately halfway through its movement out of the magazine, as is' shown in FIG. 3.

   Due to the fact that the package then moves at a speed which approaches that of the conveyor, the engagement of the pusher takes place without impact and the package is withdrawn from the machine so that its contents are not subjected to unnecessary fibraudons .

   The pusher is constructed in the manner shown in fig. 2, so that it can pass between the two cam-shaped members, 6, and gradually grasps the lower bundle and pushes it through the packing mechanism.
