Abstract

Compactor for mineral water or similar type plastic bottles consisting of two tubular bodies which slide by means of the direct vertical pushing of the foot laterally inserted into said tubular bodies.<IMAGE>

Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    Compacteur de bouteille en plastique type eau minérale et similaire

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

    Mineral water type plastic bottle compactor and the like
The invention relates to a plastic bottle compactor of mineral water type and the like composed of two telescopic tubes which slide by the direct vertical thrust of the foot partially introduced inside of them.

   Known devices assuming the function of compacting plastic bottles have the disadvantage of being sophisticated or difficult to operate.

   The object of the present invention is to propose a very simple compactor composed solely of two telescopic tubular bodies, one of which is placed on the ground and the other mobile actuated directly by the foot.

   The invention will be better understood and the advantages thereof will appear more clearly during the explanatory description which follows, made with reference to the appended schematic drawings, given solely by way of example illustrating an embodiment of the invention and in which: - Figure 1 is a section of the compactor according to the invention; and,
 EMI1.1
 - Figure 2 is a view showing the stretched compactor in which a bottle to be compressed is engaged as well as the initial position of the foot; and, - Figure 3 shows the compactor in the lowered position in which the bottle is crushed and the foot in the end position.

   As can be seen from the figures, the plastic bottle compactor is composed of a tubular body 1, the base of which is placed on the ground, its upper base is closed and the lateral cylindrical wall cut out with a long eliptical vertical opening 3 allowing the introduction and sliding of the front part of the foot.

   Around the tubular body 1 slides the tubular body partially closed at the top 2, its lateral cylindrical wall is cut out with a long vertical eliptical opening 4 similar to the opening of the tubular body 1.

   The uncorked bottle is engaged upright in the opening 4 by lifting the tubular body 2 by hand.

   This opening 4 also receives the foot in its lower part just below the upper part of the cylindrical body 1.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   The vertical thrust exerted by the foot on the lower wall of the opening of the tubular body 2 lowers the latter and thus compresses the bottle between the top of the tubular body 1 and the bottom of the upper part of the tubular body 2.

   The upper base of the tubular body 2 is provided with a circular opening 5 which centers the neck of the bottle during the crushing and allows the previously removed cap to be replaced therefrom, which further improves the result.
