Abstract

1. A projectile with a case (3), wherein a through opening (5) in the bottom (4) of the case contains a firing capsule (9) which can be struck from the outside and which fires a tamped propellent charge (7) provided in the interior of the case in a propellent charge cartridge (6), and wherein the propellent charge cartridge (6), the diameter of which is less than that of the projectile (1), has at least one lateral gas outlet opening (8) into a gas pressure chamber (10) of the case (3), characterised in that the propellent charge cartridge (6) is connected to the projectile (1) and has a cartridge bottom (17) which produces the tamping of the propellent charge and which is in contact with the bottom (4) of the case and which is provided with a firing opening (15) which is coaxial with the through opening (5) in the bottom (4) of the case.
