Abstract
The invention relates to a rail vehicle (1) which comprises a cooling system for components, such as a power supply block, a current converter, a transformer or a traction motor (4), that are arranged in an underfloor region (2) and that are cooled either directly or indirectly by an associated cooler. The cooling system comprises a first inlet opening for fresh air to be used for cooling and at least one fan (5) for guiding the cooling air towards at least one of the components (4). The cooling system has a second inlet opening, which is fluidically connected to the fan (5), for fresh air to be used for cooling, said inlet opening being arranged above the lateral skirts (8) of the rail vehicle (1) and being connected to the underfloor region (2) via an air channel (13).
