Fig. 5 zeigt in Draufsicht und in
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Bohr. and threading device.

EMI1.2
The invention relates to a drilling and thread cutting device with an overload clutch to prevent drill breakage. According to the invention, the locking device releases the coupling parts again for the coupling parts that are switched off when a certain torque is exceeded when the tool is withdrawn from the workpiece, which is expedient as well as that
Locking caused by axial displacement of the tool support pin and thereby the automatic
Restarting the tool is made possible.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. 1 is a longitudinal section through a device accommodated in a sleeve-like housing, in which a device is also provided to make the magnitude of the respective feed pressure visible. Fig. 2 is a section along the line C-D of Fig. 1 (clutch with adjustable spring loading).
3 shows the coupling parts in the disconnected position and FIG. 4 shows, on a larger scale, the parts of the device according to FIG. 1 relating to the invention. FIG. 5 shows a plan view and in
Side view of the spring acting on the lock for the clutch shoes.
The driving part 1 is sleeve-shaped and a screwed-in cover 2 with a pin 3 that receives the rotational movement directly or indirectly transmits it to the part 1. The driven
Part, here the tool support pin 4, is mounted in the hub-shaped lower part of the sleeve 1 and expediently has a collar 5 at its upper end, which is designed as a coupling part. The coupling is a lug coupling and consists of two or more, for example three evenly in the
Circularly distributed pawls 6 which swing around pins 7 which are fixed in the body of the sleeve 1 and have lugs 8 with which they fall into grooves 9 of the driven part 5, these grooves being beveled in one direction.
The rotary movement (see the arrow in FIG. 2) is transmitted to the pin 4 by means of the lugs 8 when the part 1 rotates, but if the pin is prevented from rotating due to excessive resistance to the tool, the lugs 8 slide out the grooves 9 out and the part 1 rotates empty, while the part 4 stands still. So that there is no noise caused by the constant collapsing and sliding out of the pawls 6, as well as to ensure a smooth gait, the parts 6 are automatically locked in the open position of the clutch. For this purpose, the driven part is axially displaceable and the locking part acting on the pawls 6 is arranged on it. This is an annular disk 10 under the head 5, below which the annular leaf spring 11 (FIG. 5) is located, which seeks to push the disk 10 axially upwards.
If the clutch is switched on, the lugs 8 are above the edge of the disk 10 and prevent its upward movement. However, if the coupling is open and the pawls are in the swiveled out position (Fig. 3), then the lugs 8 no longer prevent the upward movement of the disc 10, and as soon as the tool is pressed onto the workpiece and the pin 4 moves axially shifts up, the disc 10 follows him and steps between the lugs 8, so as to keep the pawls spread in the open position of the clutch.
If the tool is pulled out of the work piece, the pin 4 moves axially downwards relative to the sleeve 1 when it is pulled out, it is thereby taken along by the disk 10 of the head 5 and the pawls 6 fall back into the coupling grooves 9, so that the Part 4 with the tool starts rotating again. The load on the pawls 6 for the magnitude of the resistance that the tool finds in the material, i.e. for the limit at which the rotational stress on the tool requires the coupling to be interrupted, can be regulated by adjusting loading springs 12. At the drawn

Embodiment presses a spring 12 on each pawl 6, the distance between the support point from the pivot point 7 of the pawl being adjustable.
The springs are mounted as leaf springs on a common adjusting ring 13, which is also located inside the coupling 1 and which can be rotated by means of an adjusting knob 14 which protrudes outward through a slot in the sleeve. By changing the distance between the contact point of the spring from the pin 7 to the other end of the lug, the release resistance of the coupling can be adjusted from the smallest to the largest value, depending on the size or diameter of the tool used; but you can also make the arrangement so that the size of the spring pressure, so the. Spring loading can be changed per se, for example by increasing the spring tension or switching on an additional spring.
The device can also be provided with a device which allows the tool, in particular a thread cutting tool, to give way to the side in the event of eccentric loading, that is, in the event of lateral pressure. For this purpose, the tool carrier or the tool clamping device can be equipped with axially located springs. The device described can also be built into dies
