Pupillary wetness adjustment device
The subject of the invention is a device for adjusting the interpupillary distance for the processing of spectacle lenses when they are adapted to their frame. While spectacle lenses could previously only be adjusted to the appropriate pupil size in individual processing by centering and placing them next to one another, the adjustment device is able to hold the spectacle lenses in pairs due to two suction heads. The stable position of the lenses to be processed enables precise control of the correct interpupillary distance. The device consists of a base plate 1 with an upper and a lower measuring scale 2, 3 and two slides 4, 5, which carry suction cups 6, 7.
Both slides 4, 5 can be slidable on the base plate, but it is also possible to attach only one slide and to fix the second suction button to the base plate. Graduations are attached around the center points of the suction cups in order to be able to adjust the axis position of toric glasses. If the glasses, which have been checked and marked for their optical center point, are now firmly attached to the control points a, b, then the interpupillary distance is set by means of the fixable slide.
When using the upper measuring scale from 0 to 80 mm, the left slide remains in a fixed position, while with the lower measuring scale from 0 to 40 mm measured from the center, unequal interpupillary distance from the middle of the nose bridge can also be taken into account. With the setting now made, the optician is able to mark the cutting lines with a glass grease pen or an ink pen while supporting the glasses frame. The same process applies when using a template that matches the frame. After marking the cutting lines, the glasses can easily be lifted off their suction cups and prepared for further processing with the cutting spoon.
Glasses with a stronger outer curve, for example over + 6 diopters, are placed on the suction buttons with the inside surface of the glass reversed due to the better suction effect, as the glass 9 in FIG. 3 shows. Toric glasses change their axis position; z. B.: 300 becomes 1500 and 1! i00 will be 300. The device is also used to control the determination of the necessary lens diameter of 50 to 60 mm by placing both lenses on the suction cups and the spectacle frame in question.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Device for adjusting the pupillary distance for cutting the spectacle lenses when fitting them to the frame, characterized by two suction cups (6, 7) for holding the spectacle lenses, which are arranged on a base plate (1) so as to be displaceable relative to one another.
