Feed device for sausage machines
The invention relates to sausage machines and in particular to such a particularly expedient design with an adjustable feed device for the continuous transport of cylindrical ones
Sausage strands before they are tied into individual sausages.
The invention relates in particular to a device for advancing substantially cylindrical, with
Sausage mass of filled casings in order to feed them to a device for binding. An essential one
The prerequisite for such a feed device is that the sausages are gripped with uniform tension along the feed path so that they are not excessively compressed or the
Case is torn during transport. In this regard, in known devices of this type, the
Difficulty is that the common working conveyor belts along the feed path did not have the same distance, so that uneven feed, strain and squeezing of the
Sausage strands and possibly even tears.
The subject of the invention is a feed device with a pair of opposite conveyor belts which work together in the feed area for the purpose of transporting a sausage strand. The arrangement is made in such a way that the sausage strand is guided evenly and securely in the feed area, so that it is continuously transported without tearing, squeezing or tearing the sausage casing. The feed device contains means for adjusting the distance between the working conveyor belts in order to be able to process sausage strands of different sizes. It is of particular importance that this distance can be changed essentially uniformly over a large part of the feed path in order to achieve detection with approximately the same pressure over the feed path.
The device can contain means for adjusting the spatial position of one of the belts, which are designed so that the distance between the belts along the feed path is adjusted by approximately the same amount.
It is expedient to arrange the conveyor belts in a resilient manner both in the feed direction and perpendicular thereto, so that clogging of the feed device by large foreign bodies is largely prevented. This also achieves the advantage, which is essential from a safety point of view, that the operator does not suffer any damage if a hand accidentally shoved between the conveyor belts.
It is accordingly an object of the invention to provide a feed device for sausage machines which has opposing, cooperating conveyor belts between which the sausage strand is moved, and to make the distance between these conveyor belts adjustable by a uniform amount over almost the entire length of the feed path.
In particular, it is the object of the invention to provide a feed device with endless chain belts on which curved shaped surfaces for guiding a sausage strand are arranged at short intervals, and to provide means for adjusting the distance between the belts and thus the shaping surface along the feed path. A simple, robust and inexpensive to manufacture construction is important.
The various properties and features that characterize the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing for a better understanding of the invention and its operational advantages. In it a preferred embodiment of the invention is shown, u. FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of part of a sausage machine with a feed device according to FIG
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
2 shows a perspective partial view similar to FIG. 1, but with some parts omitted in order to show the adjusting device, FIG. 3 different parts of the device according to FIG. 2 in a disassembled representation, FIG Fig. L, omitting individual parts in plan view.
5 and 6 show plan views of parts of the transport device with the narrowest and widest belt spacing. Figures 7, 8 and 9 show vertical sections along lines 7-7 and 7-7, respectively.
8-8 and 9-9 of FIG. 4.
The exemplary embodiment contains a support frame 10 with two arms 12 and 14 which are fastened to the support frame near the upper edge thereof and which carry a large roller 16 and a smaller roller 18 at their free ends. The rollers 16 and 18 are associated with other parts of the machine, not shown, which do not form part of the subject matter of the invention.
A drive motor, for example an electric motor (not shown), is provided in the support frame 10, which drives a vertically mounted shaft 20 via a gear 22 (FIG. 2). The shaft 20 is mounted in the cover plate 24 of the frame and is provided with a hub disk 26 on which a chain wheel 28 is mounted. If the shaft 20 is driven with the aid of the motor, the chain wheel 28 rotates (FIG. 1) and drives a chain belt 30 which is placed around the chain wheels 28 and a chain wheel 32. The latter chain wheel is rotatably mounted on a vertical axis 33. The shaft 20 and the axle 33 protrude through a slot in a cover plate 34.

a lever 102 is mounted, which is pivotable about a bolt 104 and carries a stop pin 106 which cooperates with a stop 105 (FIG. 4) of the cover plate 34.
The cover plate 34 is slotted at 107 (Fig. 8) to allow the pressure roller 100 to be adjusted. The pressure roller is normally held in contact with the chain belt 64, so that the stop pin 106 is constantly pressed against the stop 105. The arrangement of the lever 102 and the bearing point of its pivot pin 104 is such that a movement of the axis 68 to or from the shaft 20 causes a similar movement in the corresponding direction of the pressure roller 100 to or from the chain belt 64. The lever 102 carrying the pressure roller 100 is mounted approximately in the middle of the arm 82 in the example described.
In Figs. 5 and 6, the parts of the feed device are shown in two different positions,

is clearly visible through the arrows in between. In summary, it should be noted that the invention enables the precise setting of the distance between the resilient molded bodies 36 and 70 and thus a deformation-free transport of the sausage strand. By means of a simple adjusting device, the spacing of the resilient molded bodies can be adjusted essentially over the entire length of the feed path, so that they are moved parallel to one another. In order to transport sausage strands of a different diameter, the distance between the shaped bodies 36 and 70 is regulated by disengaging the chains 84 and 86 from the notches 90 and 98 and re-engaging in the now desired position.
The sausage strands are continuously gripped with the feed device according to the invention with a uniform pressure force along the feed path, so that no deformation can occur.
In the drawing, a special embodiment of the feed device according to the invention was shown in detail to illustrate the application of the inventive concept, but various modifications of this device are conceivable without departing from the scope of the invention.
