Die vorteilhaften Eigenschaften des nur mit Fett gegerbten Leders machen dieses für die Verwendung bei Bade-, Turn-, Tennis- und anderen Sportschuhen geeignet. bei welchen es darauf ankommt, dass die Sohle nicht nur besonders dauerhaft, sondern auch wasserundurchlässig ist, Sicherheit gegen das Ausgleiten bietet und sich dem Fuss gut anschmiegt.
Ein weiteres Erfindungsmerkmal ist in der Herstellung des Schuhabsatzes gelegen.
Die Zeichnung, welche ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes veranschaulicht, zeigt in Fig. 1 die Sohle im Längsschnitt und in Fig. 2 dieselbe in Draufsieht.

Die Höhe dieses Absatzes kann vergrössert werden, indem zwischen die Schuhsohle a und den Fleck b eine Einlage aus irgendeinem geeigneten Material eingesetzt wird, bevor man den Oberteil c mit der Schuhsohle in an sich bekannter Weise verbindet, wobei der Absatz an der Sohle und der Oberteil an beiden durch eine gemeinsame Naht festgehalten wird.
