Abstract

La presente se refiere a un sistema automático de medición y mecanizado de extremos de tubos que comprende: un equipo de medición (1) que posee: un sensor láser interno (3) y un sensor láser externo (2) para medir los diámetros interno y externo del extremo del tubo; una estación de mecanizado (5) que posee al menos una herramienta de mecanizado del diámetro interno del tubo (14) y al menos una herramienta de mecanizado del diámetro externo del tubo (12, 13), las cuales son centralizadas y operadas en forma independiente una de la otra; una central electrónica de interfaz (6) entre el equipo de medición y las herramientas de mecanizado, que tiene registros de los valores críticos del diámetro externo y del diámetro interno para el extremo del tubo, siendo que la central electrónica de interfaz (6) recibe los valores medidos de los diámetros externo e interno del equipo de medición, los compara con los valores críticos, y controla la operación de las herramientas de mecanizado (12, 13, 14) en función del resultado de la comparación, para que los valores reales de los diámetros externo e interno del tubo se aproximen a los valores críticos.
