Abstract

La presente descripción proporciona un método para la preparación y utilización de una emulsión para el tratamiento de un proceso de elaboración del papel. La emulsión es una emulsión de aceite en agua de anhídrido alquenil succínico emulsionado con un polímero que comprende por lo menos un monómero que contiene aminas primarias o secundarias. El método comprende la adición de una emulsión de aceite en agua al proceso de elaboración del papel; en donde la emulsión de aceite en agua comprende anhídrido alquenil succínico emulsionado con un polímero que comprende por lo menos un monómero que contiene aminas primarias o secundarias; y en donde la emulsión de aceite en agua se añade en una cantidad suficiente para mejorar el apresto del papel producido mediante el proceso de elaboración del papel. La amina primaria o secundaria puede ser una amina secundaria que comprende dialilamina, y el polímero puede ser un copolímero de dialilamina-acrilamida.
