Abstract

Un proceso para la oxidacion del carbohidrato con luz UV. El proceso comprende las etapas de proveer un carbohidrato, combinar el carbohidrato con un oxidante y exponer el carbohidrato y el oxidante combinados a la luz ultravioleta. El proceso tiene lugar en condiciones alcalinas.
