Abstract
Se describe un proceso y un dispositivo para separar una solucion de catalizador homogénea desde el glicol monoetileno crudo (MEG) y para purificar MEG. El proceso incluye la separacion de solucion de catalizador por evaporacion de MEG crudo y vertido del crudo MEG a una seccion de rectificacion, una seccion de separacion, y una seccion de pasteurizacion, cada seccion opera a presiones subatmosféricas de 0, 5 x 105 Nm-2 o menores, las secciones de rectificacion y pasteurizacion, se encuentran a presiones menores que las de la seccion de separacion de catalizador, en el que el proceso proporciona una diferencia de presion entre las secciones de separacion y rectificacion de catalizador y en el que el MEG crudo en fase vapor desde la seccion de separacion de catalizador se vierte como fuente de fase sustancialmente de vapor hacia la seccion de rectificacion. El dispositivo incluye una seccion de separacion de catalizador, una seccion de rectificacion de MEG, una seccion de separacion y una seccion de pasteurizacion, en el que las secciones de rectificacion y pasteurizacion de MEG se ubican en una columna de purificacion de MEG, y la seccion de separacion de catalizador se ubica, o bien en la columna de purificacion de MEG o en un recipiente separado corriente arriba, y en el que la seccion de separacion proporciona una entrada de fuente de MEG curdo a una seccion de rectificacion de MEG y una salida para el catalizador separado, en el que la entrada de fuente de MEG crudo hacia la seccion de rectificacion de MEG es una entrada de fuente de vapor.
