Description

A MOUTH OPENER STRUCTURE
Technical Field
The invention relates to a mouth opener structure placed between the upper and lower jaws to prevent the mouth from closing during mouth or throat operations.
Background of the Invention
Mouth openers are surgical devices placed between the upper and lower jaws to prevent the mouth from closing during mouth or throat operations. It is an auxiliary clinical product that facilitates the work of dentists.
It allows the mouth to remain open for easier and more comfortable operation of the treated area in the patient's mouth. In this way, a very comfortable entry is provided by the person performing the operation in the mouth.
The raw material used is not any irritation or allergic in the mouth. It can be easily inserted into the patient's mouth without the need for any help. The raw materials used do not harm human health in any way.
However, since the mouth openers used in the current technique are one size and cannot be adjusted by themselves, it is not suitable for every patient.
They are large enough to make it difficult to work in size.
Metal ones cause excessive pressure to the teeth on which they are applied and complications such as avulsion fractures in the teeth. Plastic ones are not suitable for heat sterilization used in surgery.
In the Chinese patent application numbered CN102247120 in the literature, “The invention discloses a mouth support device with a spit sucking function. The device comprises a support plate with an inner end facing to the inside of the mouth and an outer end facing to the outside of the mouth; the support plate has a trend of gradually becoming smaller from the outer end to the inner side; the device also comprises an upper oblique plate and a lower oblique plate which are fixed on the same side of the support plate along the trend; the upper and lower oblique plates are opposite and provided with opposite upper angular surface and lower angular surface respectively; the upper and lower angular surfaces are provided with protruding corner angles matched with the upper and lower teeth designed based on ergonomics respectively; protruding limit sides are arranged on the sides far away from the support part, of the upper and lower oblique plates, and are reversely fastened with the upper and lower teeth to prevent sliding respectively and support the oral cavity in a natural open state; the mouth support device also comprises a spit sucking tube; and the spit sucking pipe is fixed in a round through hole arranged in the middle of the support plate and used for sucking redundant spit in the mouth of people experiencing an operation. The mouth support device with the spit sucking function integrates the functions of supporting a mouth and sucking spit, and is convenient for a doctor to fix the spit sucking tube to suck spit in the oral cavity of the people experiencing an operation without adopting an external force or other auxiliary tool in oral therapy”, statements are included.
In said application, an oral support apparatus with saliva sucking function is disclosed.
Again, in the Chinese utility model numbered CN214971261 in the literature, " The utility model discloses a mouth opener for head and neck radiotherapy patients, which belongs to the technical field of medical equipment and comprises a mouth opener body, an adjusting mechanism is arranged at the top of the mouth opener body, and a fixing mechanism is arranged at the top of the adjusting mechanism. The adjusting mechanism comprises a lower adjusting plate, a fixing plate is fixedly arranged on one side of the lower adjusting plate, and a mounting hole is formed in the top of the fixing plate. In the mentioned application, another mouth opener configuration on which there is an adjustment mechanism is disclosed.
Again in the literature, in the US patent document numbered US4167946A, " A device for protecting both a patient's teeth and medical instruments (such as tubes, probes, etc.) against damage when such instruments are inserted through the mouth. The device comprises a teeth shield member of semi-rigid material with dimensions greater than the instrument introduced and a support member for the instrument at the periphery of the teeth shield member for securing a side-by-side relationship between the instrument and the teeth shield member. The support member can be in the shape of a slit-open tube into which the instrument can be inserted radially after the introduction of the instrument into the patient. The instrument can be fixed by means of a band tied around the instrument and tied or otherwise fixed to the device, which band can also be used to fix the complete unit in the patient by tieing around his neck.” statements are included.
In said patent, a device for protecting a medical device to be inserted through the mouth of a patient is disclosed.
Due to the reasons mentioned above, a new mouth opener configuration was needed.
Purpose of the Invention
Based on this position of the technique, the aim of the invention is to present a new mouth opener structure that eliminates the existing disadvantages. Another aim of the invention is to present a structure that can be adjusted remotely thanks to the motorized system.
Another aim of the invention is to present a structure that keeps the patient's mouth open for a long time without causing discomfort.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a structure that can be sterilized in any way, compatible with sterilization and autoclave.

CLAIMS The invention is a mouth opener structure (A) placed between the upper and lower jaws to prevent the mouth from closing during mouth or throat operations which consists of an upper occlusal part (1) that keeps it fixed on the upper teeth, a lower occlusal part (2) that keeps it fixed on the lower teeth, and an adjustment screw (4) whose height is adjusted to ensure proper mouth opening characterized in that; comprises micro motor (6) positioned for remote automatic adjustment of the said adjustment screw (4). A mouth opener structure (A) according to claim 1 ; comprises battery (7) which provides the power supply of the said micro-motor (6). A mouth opener structure (A) according to any preceding claims; comprises control box (5) where the said micro motor (6) and the battery (7) are located. A mouth opener structure (A) according to any preceding claims; comprises remote control (8) that enables the remote operation and control of the aforementioned micro-motor (6). A mouth opener structure (A) according to any preceding claims; comprises rotation apparatus (3), which rotates 45 degrees in order to ensure that said mouth opener structure (A) sits on the teeth at an ideal angle.
