Since the instrument panel is fixed to the vehicle body side (instrain force) like the vehicle described in Patent Document 1, it is difficult to absorb the impact of the head.
Therefore, an object of the present disclosure is to provide an instrument panel mounting structure capable of improving occupant protection performance when an occupant collides with the upper surface of the instrument panel.
In order to solve the above problems, a first aspect of the present disclosure is an instrument panel mounting structure for mounting an instrument panel disposed in the front part of a vehicle compartment on the vehicle body side, comprising: a vehicle body side support surface portion and the instrument panel; A support member and a bolt and nut are provided. The vehicle body side support surface portion is fixedly provided on the vehicle body side and extends in the vertical direction. The instrument panel support member has a fixed plate portion fixed to the vehicle body side support surface portion while being in contact with the vehicle body side support surface portion, and a panel support portion that supports the instrument panel. The bolt and nut fasten and fix the vehicle body side support surface portion and the fixing plate portion of the instrument panel support member. The fixing plate portion of the instrument panel support member has a bolt insertion hole through which the bolt is inserted, and a slit continuously extending upward from the bolt insertion hole. The bolt is inserted through the bolt insertion hole of the fixed plate portion of the instrument panel support member in a state in which the instrument panel support member supports the instrument panel at a normal height position.
In the above configuration, the fixing plate portion of the instrument panel support member has a bolt insertion hole that allows the bolt to be inserted, and a slit that continuously extends upward from the bolt insertion hole, and the bolt is inserted into the instrument panel support member. supports the instrument panel at a normal height position, the bolt insertion holes of the fixing plate portion of the instrument panel support member are inserted. For this reason, when a passenger collides with the upper surface of the instrument panel in a vehicle collision, etc., and a large load is input to the instrument panel, the bolt is relatively moved from the bolt insertion hole toward the slit, Since the instrument panel can be moved downward, the impact from the instrument panel to the occupant side can be reduced, and the occupant protection performance can be improved.
A second aspect of the present disclosure is the instrument panel mounting structure of the first aspect, wherein the instrument panel support member extends from the upper end of the fixing plate portion toward the side opposite to the vehicle body side support surface portion. It has a plate. The upper plate portion of the instrument panel support member has an opening continuous from the slit of the fixed plate portion. The opening of the upper plate portion of the instrument panel support member is such that when the protruding regions of the bolts and nuts protruding from the fixed plate portion to the side opposite to the vehicle body side support surface portion relatively move upward along the slits, It is formed in a size that allows relative movement of the protruding region above the upper plate portion.
In the above configuration, the instrument panel support member has the upper plate portion extending from the upper end of the fixed plate portion toward the side opposite to the vehicle body side support surface portion, and the upper plate portion has an opening continuous from the slit of the fixed plate portion. have The opening of the upper plate portion is located above the upper plate portion when the protruding regions of the bolts and nuts protruding from the fixed plate portion to the side opposite to the vehicle body side support surface portion relatively move upward along the slits. It is sized to allow relative movement of the projecting region to. Therefore, in the event of a vehicle collision or the like, an occupant collides with the upper surface of the instrument panel, and a large load is input to the instrument panel, causing the bolt to move relatively from the bolt insertion hole toward the upper plate portion through the slit. When the instrument panel and the instrument panel supporting member are moved upward from the opening of the upper plate portion, the instrument panel and the instrument panel support member can be dropped downward from the vehicle body side support surface portion on the vehicle body side. can be done. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the impact from the instrument panel to the occupant side, so that the occupant protection performance can be improved.
A third aspect of the present disclosure is the instrument panel mounting structure of the first aspect or the second aspect, wherein the width of the slit is narrower than the diameter of the bolt insertion hole.
In the above configuration, the width of the slit is formed to be narrower than the diameter of the bolt insertion hole of the fixed plate portion, so that when the bolt relatively moves upward in the slit, the bolt contacts the edge of the slit. easy. Therefore, when the bolt relatively moves upward in the slit, the impact of the occupant can be absorbed by the contact between the bolt and the edge of the slit.
In addition, since the width of the slit is narrower than the diameter of the bolt insertion hole, setting the width of the slit appropriately (for example, setting it narrower than the diameter of the shaft of the bolt) allows the input of a small load. Sometimes, it is possible to prevent the instrument panel from easily moving downward.
According to the present disclosure, it is possible to improve the occupant protection performance when the occupant collides with the upper surface of the instrument panel.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the instrument panel 3 includes an instrument panel upright surface portion 3a (hereinafter referred to as "panel upright surface portion 3a") standing up in front of the seating seat 4, and an upper end side of the panel upright surface portion 3a. and an instrument panel top surface portion 3b (hereinafter referred to as “panel top surface portion 3b”) extending forward continuously from the instrument panel top surface portion 3b. In this embodiment, the panel upright surface portion 3a extends continuously downward from the rear end side of the panel upper surface portion 3b on the passenger seat side (left side in this embodiment) to a predetermined height position (indicated by the dashed line 9 in FIG. 2). height position) and a lower member 12 arranged below the upper member 11 . The lower member 12 extends downward from the lower end side of the upper member 11 . A plurality of clips (not shown) are provided on the lower surface side of the upper member 11 and the front surface side of the lower member 12 .
As shown in FIG. 3, a cross member 5 extending in the vehicle width direction is provided in front of the panel rising surface portion 3a of the instrument panel 3. As shown in FIG. In this embodiment, the cross member 5 is arranged at a height position lower than the predetermined height position (the height position indicated by the one-dot chain line 9 in FIG. 3). Both ends of the cross member 5 in the vehicle width direction are fixed to body side panels (not shown) on the vehicle body side that define both sides of the vehicle compartment 2 in the vehicle width direction. Note that the cross member 5 may support a steering column (not shown) of the vehicle 1 .
In the instrument panel mounting structure according to the present embodiment, the panel upright surface portion 3a of the instrument panel 3 is provided with an instrument panel support member 10 (hereinafter referred to as "panel support member 10") which is attached to the cross member 5 in a region on the front passenger seat side. (referred to as "member 10").
As shown in FIGS. 3, 5, and 6, two plate-like brackets 6 extending upward from the cross member 5 are provided in a region of the cross member 5 on the passenger seat side (the left side in this embodiment). Fixed. Each bracket 6 is formed with a bolt insertion hole (not shown) penetrating in the front-rear direction. A nut 7 is previously welded to the front side of each bracket 6 at a position communicating with the bolt insertion hole. A region including the bolt insertion hole on the rear surface side of each bracket 6 functions as a vehicle body side support surface portion 6a that supports the panel upright surface portion 3a of the instrument panel 3 via the panel support member 10. As shown in FIG. That is, the vehicle-body-side support surface portion 6a of each bracket 6 is a partial area on the rear surface side of the bracket 6 and extends in a direction intersecting the front-rear direction (in this embodiment, it is longer in the vertical direction than in the vehicle width direction). ). A panel support member 10 is fastened and fixed to the vehicle body side support surface portion 6 a of each bracket 6 with a bolt 8 and a nut 7 .
As shown in FIGS. 3 to 6, the panel support member 10 is a member that supports the upper member 11 and the lower member 12 of the panel upright surface portion 3a of the instrument panel 3. It integrally has left and right recessed portions 14 that are recessed forward from. Note that the left and right recesses 14 are provided symmetrically on the left and right sides of the panel support member 10 and have substantially the same configuration.
A body portion 13 of the panel support member 10 includes a vertical plate portion 13a formed in a plate shape that intersects with the front-rear direction and elongated in the vehicle width direction, and an upper end portion of the vertical plate portion 13a that is provided integrally with the upper and lower sides of the vertical plate portion 13a. It integrally has a lateral plate portion 13b which is formed in a plate shape intersecting the direction and elongated in the vehicle width direction. The vertical plate portion 13a has a plurality of lower clip insertion holes (panel support portions) 16 to which clips (not shown) of the lower member 12 of the panel rising surface portion 3a of the instrument panel 3 can be attached. The lower clip insertion hole 16 penetrates the vertical plate portion 13a in the front-rear direction. The horizontal plate portion 13b has a plurality of upper clip insertion holes (panel support portions) 15 to which clips (not shown) of the upper member 11 of the panel rising surface portion 3a of the instrument panel 3 can be attached. The upper clip insertion hole 15 penetrates the horizontal plate portion 13b in the vertical direction.
The recessed portion 14 is provided on the lower end side of the vertical plate portion 13a of the main body portion 13, is recessed forward from the vertical plate portion 13a, and defines an inner space 17 inside. The recessed portion 14 is formed in a plate shape that intersects the vertical direction and defines a recessed upper plate portion (upper plate portion) 18 that partitions the upper side of the inner space 17 . It has a recessed bottom plate portion (fixed plate portion) 19 that partitions the front, and left and right recessed side plate portions 20 that are formed in a plate shape that intersects the vehicle width direction and partition the left and right sides of the inner space 17 . The lower side and the rear side of the inner space 17 are open.
The recess bottom plate portion 19 has a bolt insertion hole 21 penetrating in the front-rear direction and a slit 22 continuously extending upward from the bolt insertion hole 21 . The bolt insertion hole 21 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 is formed with a diameter that allows the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8 to be inserted. The slit 22 continuously extends upward from the bolt insertion hole 21 to the upper end of the recess bottom plate portion 19 and opens upward. When fixing the panel support member 10 to the bracket 6 on the vehicle body side (in this embodiment, the cross member 5), the front surface of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 of the panel support member 10 is attached to the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a of the bracket 6 from behind. The bolts 8 are inserted into the bolt insertion holes 21 of the recessed bottom plate 19 from behind while the bolt insertion holes 21 of the recessed bottom plate 19 and the bolt insertion holes of the bracket 6 are in communication with each other. It is screwed into the nut 7 on the side and tightened. When the panel support member 10 is fixed to the bracket 6 on the vehicle body side by tightening the bolt 8, the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8 is inserted through the bolt insertion hole 21 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19, and the head portion (protruding area) of the bolt 8 ) 8b projects rearward from the recess bottom plate portion 19 (on the side opposite to the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a of the bracket 6). The head portion 8b of the bolt 8 is arranged in the inner space 17 of the recess 14 and contacts the bottom plate portion 19 of the recess from behind. The width of the slit 22 (the length in the vehicle width direction) is such that when a load of a predetermined magnitude or more is input to the instrument panel 3 from above, the bolts will pass upward through the bolt insertion holes 21 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 . 8 is set to a width that allows relative movement of the bolt shaft 8a. In this embodiment, the width of the slit 22 is set to be slightly narrower than the diameter of the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8. As shown in FIG. That is, the width of the slit 22 is set to be narrower than the diameter of the bolt insertion hole 21 of the bottom plate portion 19 of the recess.
The recessed upper plate portion 18 has an upper opening (opening) 23 that is formed in a cutout shape rearward from the front edge thereof. The front of the upper opening 23 communicates with the upper end of the slit 22 of the recess bottom plate portion 19 . The size of the upper opening 23 is determined by the head portion of the bolt 8 when the bolt 8 with the panel support member 10 fixed to the bracket 6 on the vehicle body side moves upward in the slit 22 relative to the bottom plate portion 19 of the recessed portion. 8b is formed to be larger than the head portion 8b of the bolt 8 so as to be relatively movable upward from the upper opening 23 relative to the recessed upper plate portion 18 (see FIG. 6). For example, the width (length in the vehicle width direction) of the upper opening 23 is formed to be larger than the width of the head portion 8b of the bolt 8 . The length of the upper opening 23 in the front-rear direction is longer than the length of the head portion 8b of the bolt 8 in the front-rear direction.
The instrument panel 3 is attached to a panel support member 10 fixed in advance to the bracket 6 on the vehicle body side. A bolt shaft 8a of a bolt 8 for fixing the panel support member 10 to the vehicle body side bracket 6 is inserted through the bolt insertion hole 21 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 of the panel support member 10. As shown in FIG. By attaching the instrument panel 3 to the panel support member 10, the instrument panel 3 is arranged at a normal height position. When the instrument panel 3 is attached to the panel support member 10, the clip of the upper member 11 of the panel upright surface portion 3a is inserted into the upper clip insertion hole 15 of the lateral plate portion 13b of the panel support member 10 from above. Then, the clip of the lower member 12 of the panel upright surface portion 3a is inserted into the lower clip insertion hole 16 of the vertical plate portion 13a of the panel support member 10 from behind and locked. In a state in which the instrument panel 3 is attached to the panel support member 10, the horizontal plate portion 13b of the panel support member 10 supports the upper member 11 of the panel upright surface portion 3a of the instrument panel 3 from below, and the panel support member The vertical plate portion 13 a of the instrument panel 3 supports the lower member 12 of the panel rising surface portion 3 a of the instrument panel 3 . As a result, the instrument panel 3 is attached to the bracket 6 on the vehicle body side via the panel support member 10 in a state of being arranged at a normal height position.
Next, the movement of the instrument panel 3 and the panel support member 10 when a load of a predetermined size or more is input to the instrument panel 3 from above will be described. When the occupant's head collides with the panel upper surface portion 3b of the instrument panel 3 (for example, in the direction of the white arrow shown in FIG. 7) in the collision of the vehicle 1, etc., the instrument panel 3 is pushed downward from above. is input to the panel support member 10 through the instrument panel 3, and a load from above to below is also input to the panel support member 10. As shown in FIG. When a load equal to or larger than the predetermined magnitude is input to the instrument panel 3 from above, the instrument panel 3, together with the panel support member 10, is moved by the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a of the vehicle body side bracket 6 and the bolts 8 and nuts 7. relative to the normal height position. At this time, the bolt shaft 8 a of the bolt 8 relatively moves upward in the slit 22 from the bolt insertion hole 21 of the recess bottom plate portion 19 of the panel support member 10 . As the instrument panel 3 and the panel support member 10 move downward, the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8 relatively moves upward from the upper end of the slit 22 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19, and the head portion of the bolt 8 moves upward. When the panel support member 8b moves upward relative to the recessed upper plate portion 18 from the upper opening 23 of the recessed upper plate portion 18, the panel support member 10 drops downward from the bracket 6 (the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a).
In the above configuration, the recess bottom plate portion 19 of the panel support member 10 has the bolt insertion hole 21 and the slit 22 continuously extending upward from the bolt insertion hole 21 . With the panel support member 10 supporting the instrument panel 3 at a normal height, the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8 is inserted through the bolt insertion hole 21 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 of the panel support member 10. . Therefore, when the vehicle 1 collides with the upper surface of the instrument panel 3 and a large downward load is applied to the instrument panel 3 by an occupant, the bolt 8 is inserted into the bolt insertion hole of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 . 21 relative to the upper slit 22 side, the instrument panel 3 can be moved together with the panel support member 10 with respect to the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a of the vehicle body side bracket 6 and the bolts 8 and nuts 7 as described above. It can be moved downward from the normal height position.
Further, the panel support member 10 has a recessed top plate portion 18 extending rearward from the upper end of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 , and the recessed top plate portion 18 has an upper opening 23 that continues from the slit 22 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 . have. When the head portion 8b of the bolt 8 protruding rearward from the recessed bottom plate portion 19 moves relatively upward along the slit 22, the upper opening 23 of the recessed upper plate portion 18 is positioned higher than the recessed upper plate portion 18. It is sized to allow relative movement of the head portion 8b of the bolt 8 upward. Therefore, when the vehicle 1 collides or the like, an occupant collides with the upper surface of the instrument panel 3, a large load is input to the instrument panel 3, and the bolt 8 passes through the slit 22 from the bolt insertion hole 21 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19. When the head portion 8b of the bolt 8 can be moved upward from the upper opening 23 of the recessed upper plate portion 18 when the head portion 8b of the bolt 8 is relatively moved toward the recessed upper plate portion 18 side through the instrument panel 3 and the panel The support member 10 can be dropped downward from the vehicle body side bracket 6 (vehicle body side support surface portion 6a).
Further, since the width of the slit 22 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 is set to be narrower than the diameter of the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8, when the bolt 8 relatively moves upward in the slit 22, the bolt 8 is The bolt shaft 8 a abuts on the left and right edges of the slit 22 . Therefore, when the bolt 8 relatively moves upward in the slit 22 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 , the impact of the occupant can be absorbed by the contact between the bolt 8 and the edge of the slit 22 .
Therefore, according to this embodiment, the impact from the instrument panel 3 to the occupant side can be reduced, so the occupant protection performance when the occupant collides with the upper surface of the instrument panel 3 can be improved.
Further, since the width of the slit 22 of the recess bottom plate portion 19 is set to be narrower than the diameter of the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8, the instrument panel 3 can easily move downward when a small load is applied. You can prevent it from being lost.
In the present embodiment, the width of the slit 22 of the bottom plate portion 19 of the recess is set to be narrower than the diameter of the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8, but it is not limited to this. may be wider than the diameter of For example, even if the width of the slit 22 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 is wider than the diameter of the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8, if it is narrower than the diameter of the bolt insertion hole 21 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19, the bolt 8 will pass through the slit 22. Since the bolt shaft 8a of the bolt 8 easily abuts against the left and right edges of the slit 22 when it moves relatively upward, the impact of the occupant can be absorbed by the abutment between the bolt 8 and the edges of the slit 22. . Alternatively, the width of the slit 22 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 may be substantially the same as the diameter of the bolt insertion hole 21 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 . Even in this case, the bolt 8 can be relatively moved from the bolt insertion hole 21 of the recessed bottom plate portion 19 toward the upper slit 22 side. is input, the instrument panel 3 can be moved downward from the normal height position, and the impact from the instrument panel 3 to the occupant side can be reduced.
Further, in the present embodiment, the panel support member 10 is provided with the recess 14, and the recess bottom plate portion (fixing plate portion) 19 is fixed to the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a of the vehicle body side bracket 6, but it is not limited to this. do not have. For example, without providing the panel support member 10 with the recess 14, the main body 13 may be provided with the bolt insertion holes 21 and the slits 22 to function as a fixing plate for fixing the main body 13 to the vehicle body side support surface 6a. In this case, the slit 22 may extend to the upper end of the body portion 13 and open upward.
In the present embodiment, the nut 7 is fixed in advance to the bracket 6 on the vehicle body side. However, the present invention is not limited to this. can be fixed to In this case, when the stud bolt is fastened with a nut and the panel support member 10 is fixed to the bracket 6 on the vehicle body side, the tip side (protruding area) of the stud bolt and the nut (protruding area) are separated from the bottom plate portion 19 of the recess. It protrudes rearward (the side opposite to the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a of the bracket 6). Further, in this case, the upper opening (opening) 23 of the recessed upper plate portion 18 is formed to have a size through which the tip side of the stud bolt projecting rearward from the recessed bottom plate portion 19 and the nut can pass.
In addition, in the present embodiment, the panel support member 10 is provided with the left and right recesses 14 recessed forward from the body portion 13, but the number of the recesses 14 is not limited to two, and one recess 14 is provided. Alternatively, more than two recesses 14 may be provided.
Further, in the present embodiment, the recess 14 of the panel support member 10 is recessed forward from the main body 13 , but the present invention is not limited to this. may be set to In this case, the recess bottom plate portion (fixing plate portion) 19 of the recess portion 14 may be brought into contact with the vehicle body side support surface portion on the front side of the bracket 6 from the front and fastened and fixed with bolts and nuts.
In addition, in the present embodiment, the panel support member 10 supports the two members (the upper member 11 and the lower member 12) of the panel upright surface portion 3a of the instrument panel 3, but the present invention is not limited to this. As long as the panel support member 10 supports the instrument panel 3 , it may support parts other than the upper member 11 and the lower member 12 .
Also, in this embodiment, two brackets 6 are provided on the vehicle body side, but the number of brackets 6 is not limited to two, and one bracket 6 may be provided, or three or more brackets may be provided. A bracket 6 may be provided.
In the present embodiment, the vehicle body side bracket 6 is provided with the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a that intersects the longitudinal direction, but is not limited to this, and the vehicle body side support surface portion is provided that intersects the vehicle width direction. may For example, the bracket on the vehicle body side may be formed in a plate shape that intersects with the vehicle width direction, and the vehicle body side support surface portion may be provided on the inner surface of the bracket in the vehicle width direction. In this case, a bolt insertion hole 21 and a slit 22 are provided in the recessed side plate portion 20 on the vehicle width direction outer side (left side in the above embodiment) of the recessed portion 14 of the panel support member 10 so that the recessed side plate portion 20 functions as a fixing plate portion. good too.
Further, in the present embodiment, the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a is provided on the bracket 6 fixed to the cross member 5, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the vehicle body side support surface portion 6a is provided on various members provided on the vehicle body side. Side support surfaces may be provided.
