雌端子金具と、
ハウジングとを備え、
前記雌端子金具は、
雄端子金具のタブが挿入されるタブ挿入部と、
前記タブ挿入部の外面に露出し、前記タブに対して弾性的に接触する弾性接触片とを有し、
前記ハウジングは、前記タブ挿入部を収容する端子収容室を有し、
前記弾性接触片の弾性変位を許容する撓み許容空間が、前記ハウジングのうち前記端子収容室を区画する壁部の厚さの範囲内に形成されている。
最初に本開示の実施形態を列記して説明する。
本開示のコネクタは、
(1)雌端子金具と、ハウジングとを備え、前記雌端子金具は、雄端子金具のタブが挿入されるタブ挿入部と、前記タブ挿入部の外面に露出し、前記タブに対して弾性的に接触する弾性接触片とを有し、前記ハウジングは、前記タブ挿入部を収容する端子収容室を有し、前記弾性接触片の弾性変位を許容する撓み許容空間が、前記ハウジングのうち前記端子収容室を区画する壁部の厚さの範囲内に形成されている。弾性接触片がタブと接触して弾性変位すると、弾性接触片のうち弾性変位によってタブ挿入部の外部へ突出した部位が、撓み許容空間内に収容される。撓み許容空間は、端子収容室を構成する壁部の厚さの範囲内に確保されている。したがって、本開示のコネクタは、撓み許容空間としての専用スペースを雌端子金具の内部のみに確保したものに比べると、弾性接触片の弾性変位方向において低背化を図ることができる。
[実施例1]
本開示のコネクタFを具体化した実施例1を、図1~図9を参照して説明する。なお、本発明はこれらの例示に限定されるものではなく、請求の範囲によって示され、請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。本実施例1において、前後の方向については、図1,3,4における斜め右下方、及び図2,5~7における右方を前方と定義する。上下の方向については、図1,3~9にあらわれる向きを、そのまま上方、下方と定義する。左右の方向については、図2における上方を左方、下方を右方と定義する。
本発明は、上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施例に限定されるものではなく、請求の範囲によって示される。本発明には、請求の範囲と均等の意味及び請求の範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれ、下記のような実施形態も含まれることが意図される。
・上記実施例1では、タブ挿入部にタブが挿入されていない状態において、第1弾性接触片の一部が第1撓み許容空間内に収容されているが、タブ挿入部にタブが挿入されていない状態において、第1弾性接触片の全体が端子収容室内に収容されていてもよい。
・上記実施例1では、端子本体を、電線の延出方向と交差する方向から端子収容室に取り付けたが、端子本体は、電線の延出方向に沿った方向から端子収容室に取り付けてもよい。
・上記実施例1では、雌端子金具が端子本体と電線固着部材との2部品を組み付けて構成されているが、雌端子金具は単一部品であってもよい。
・上記実施例1では、第1弾性接触片と第2弾性接触片が互いに異なる板部(上板部と下板部)に形成されているが、第1弾性接触片と第2弾性接触片を1枚の共通の板部に形成してもよい。
・上記実施例1では、第1撓み許容空間がハウジングの外面に開口しているが、第1撓み許容空間はハウジングの外面に開口していなくてもよい。

- 雌端子金具と、
ハウジングとを備え、
前記雌端子金具は、
雄端子金具のタブが挿入されるタブ挿入部と、
前記タブ挿入部の外面に露出し、前記タブに対して弾性的に接触する弾性接触片とを有し、
前記ハウジングは、前記タブ挿入部を収容する端子収容室を有し、
前記弾性接触片の弾性変位を許容する撓み許容空間が、前記ハウジングのうち前記端子収容室を区画する壁部の厚さの範囲内に形成されているコネクタ。 - 前記タブ挿入部に前記タブが挿入されていない状態において、前記弾性接触片の一部が前記撓み許容空間内に収容されている請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記撓み許容空間が前記ハウジングの外面に開口している請求項1又は請求項2に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記雌端子金具が、前記タブ挿入部と前記弾性接触片とが形成された端子本体を有しており、
前記ハウジングには、前記壁部において前記ハウジングの外面に開口し、前記端子本体が前記端子収容室内に進入することを可能にする第1取付口が形成されている請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記雌端子金具が、電線の前端部に固着され、前記端子本体の後端部に対して取り付けが可能な電線固着部材を有しており、
前記ハウジングには、前記電線固着部材を前記ハウジングの後方から前記端子収容室内に挿入することを可能にする第2取付口が形成されている請求項4に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記端子本体は、4枚の板部によって角筒状に構成されており、
前記電線固着部材は、前記端子本体内に挿入されるタブ状接触部を有し、
前記端子本体は、前記タブ状接触部に対して弾性接触する第2弾性接触片を有し、
前記弾性接触片と前記第2弾性接触片は、4枚の前記板部のうち互いに異なる前記板部に個別に形成されている請求項5に記載のコネクタ。
