Abstract
The present invention relates to a skimmer bucket (1) wherein the cleaning water in the bucket is taken by means of a cleaning apparatus and the excess water on the apparatus is wrung out and/or drained.
Description
A BUCKET WITH MOP STRIPPER
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a skimmer bucket wherein the cleaning water in the bucket is taken by means of a cleaning apparatus and the excess water on the apparatus is wrung out and/or drained. Prior Art
Today, the water in the buckets used for cleaning floors is taken by means of a cleaning element and wrung out by means of an apparatus mounted onto the bucket. However, the wringing apparatus mounted onto the bucket narrows down the opening of the bucket, preventing the cleaning apparatus from accessing the inner volume of the bucket. Moreover, the mounted apparatus covering the opening of the bucket increases the production costs of the bucket.
Therefore, in the state of the art there is a need for a low-cost skimmer bucket which does not cover the opening of the bucket.
In the state of the art Turkish Patent Document No. TR2015/04373, a cleaning bucket is disclosed, wherein water is wrung out by means of a grilled- surface placed on different containers. A mop is pressed onto a grilled- surface placed onto the containers provided on the cleaning bucket, and thus the water therein is removed.
Brief Description of the Invention
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a skimmer bucket wherein the excess liquid taken from inside the bucket is wrung out and/or drained by means of a cleaning apparatus.
Detailed Description of the Invention
"A Skimmer Bucket" realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
Figure 1 is the top view of a skimmer bucket of the present invention.
Figure 2 is the sideways view of a skimmer bucket of the present invention.
Figure 3 is the top view of an embodiment of a skimmer bucket of the present invention.
Figure 4 is the sideways view of a skimmer bucket of the present invention.
Figure 5a is the exemplary view of the secondary surface in an embodiment of a skimmer bucket of the present invention.
Figure 5b is the exemplary view of the secondary surface in an embodiment of a skimmer bucket of the present invention.
The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
1. Skimmer bucket
2. Container
3. Body
4. Extension
5. Protrusion
6. Secondary surface
7. Gap
At least one skimmer bucket ( 1 ) of the present invention, for taking a cleaning liquid therein by means of a material such as sponge, microfiber, etc. provided on cleaning apparatuses and for wringing out and/or draining excess water trapped on the cleaning apparatus, comprises
- at least one body (3) having at least one hollow container (2) for placing the cleaning liquid in the bucket (1), and
- at least one extension (4) which is provided on any edge of the upper side of the body (3) or as integrated to the body (3) and which is configured to removing the excess liquid on the cleaning apparatus by pressing and/or skimming the same thereon.
The body (3) in the skimmer bucket (1) of the present invention keeps a liquid in at least one container (2) provided thereon. The body (3) comprises at least one opening (not shown in figures) which provides access to the liquid in the container (2). Thus, the liquid in the container (2) is accessed and taken by means of a cleaning apparatus through the opening arranged on the body (3).
The extension (4) in the skimmer bucket (1) of the present invention is positioned on the body (3) so as to guide the liquid taken off the cleaning apparatus into the container (2), thus enabling the excess liquid on the cleaning apparatus to be removed. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the extension (4) is disposed over the opening of the body (3) and is inclined into the container (2). By pressing and/or skimming the cleaning apparatus onto the extension (4), the excess liquid on the cleaning apparatus is removed and guided into the container (2). Thus, the extension (4) ensures that the excess liquid on the cleaning apparatus is removed, thus reducing the water used in the cleaning process and preventing any marks left by the cleaning apparatus during the cleaning process.
In the skimmer bucket (1) of the present invention, a protrusion (5) which may be in various geometric shapes so as to provide the extension (4) with an uneven surface is provided on the extension (4). At least one protrusion (5) is provided on the extension (4) so as to have a different and/or the same geometric shape on the extension (4). Thus, the amount of liquid removed from the cleaning apparatus is increased, providing savings in liquid. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, by means of the channel (not shown in figures) formed by means of at least two protrusions (5) provided on the extension (4), a channel (not shown in
figures) is formed, which guides the liquid taken off the cleaning apparatus into the container (2).
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a secondary surface (6) is arranged on the extension (4) so as to be inclined towards the container (2) at a predetermined angle. The secondary surface (6) is positioned so as to be distanced from the extension (4) in a predetermined amount. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the secondary surface (6) is placed onto the extension (4) such that a distance of 5-20 mm is provided therebetween. The secondary surface (6) comprises at least one protrusion (5) in a different number and/or shape. The secondary surface (6) comprises at least one gap (7) which enables the liquid removed by pressing and/or skimming the cleaning apparatus thereon to be drained. The gap (7) on the secondary surface (6) can be in a different number and/or shape. Thus, the liquid drained by the secondary surface (6) is drained through the gap (7) towards the extension (4) whereon the secondary surface (6) is disposed, and then guided into the container (2). In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the liquid removed is guided into the container (2) by means of the channel (not shown in figures) formed by means of the channel formed by means of the at least two protrusions (5) provided on the secondary surface (6). Thus, the liquid taken off the cleaning apparatus is guided into the container (2) by means of the inclined structure of the secondary surface (6), the gap (7) on the secondary surface (6) and the presence of the guiding channels. In embodiments where the secondary surface (6) is used, the water taken off the cleaning apparatus is drained more quickly than the embodiments where the same is not used, thus increasing effectiveness.
The body (3) on the skimmer bucket (1) of the present invention comprises at least one container (2) wherein a liquid is loaded. The liquid in the container (2) is taken by means of a cleaning apparatus through the opening arranged on the body (3). The excess liquid taken by means of the cleaning apparatus is drained by pressing and/or skimming the same on an extension (4) provided over the opening of the body (3). The excess liquid drained off the cleaning apparatus is guided into the
container (2) by means of the inclined structure of the extension (4). The amount of water drained while the cleaning apparatus is pressed and/or skimmed is increased by means of at least one protrusion (5) provided on the extension (4). In an embodiment of the present invention, a secondary surface (6) is arranged on the extension (4) at a predetermined height. At least one protrusion (5) and at least one gap (7) for delivering the liquid drained by pressing and/or skimming the cleaning apparatus to the extension (4) are provided on the secondary surface (6).
Based on the above-disclosed basic concepts, a wide range of embodiments related to "A Skimmer Bucket (1)" of the present invention can be developed, and the present invention is not limited to the examples disclosed herein and the fundamental principles of present invention are disclosed in the Claims.
