Description

Vehicle front structure
The present invention relates to a front structure of a vehicle.
In Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 02-93124, an engine and an air cleaner are arranged in a vehicle front space in front of a dash panel, and an upper frame extending from a front pillar to a vehicle front side is provided outside a vehicle width direction of the upper frame. A vehicle in which an air intake port of an air cleaner is disposed between the fender panel and the fender panel.
In this vehicle, the air introduced into the vehicle front space from the opening of the front grill during traveling travels between the vehicle width direction inner side of the fender panel and the upper frame and reaches the air intake port of the air cleaner.
By the way, in such a vehicle, when the upper end flange of the fender panel is arranged above the upper end of the upper frame, the fender panel and the upper frame are manufactured between the upper end flange of the fender panel and the upper end of the upper frame. A gap is formed to some extent to absorb the above error.
Therefore, high-temperature air warmed by the engine in the vehicle front space flows into the space between the fender panel and the upper frame from the gap between the upper flange of the fender panel and the upper end of the upper frame, High air may be drawn into the air cleaner through the air intake.
When the air having such a high temperature is supplied to the air cleaner, there is a concern that the combustion efficiency is lowered and the fuel efficiency is lowered.
Embodiments of the present invention relate to a front structure of a vehicle in which combustion efficiency of an engine is secured, fuel consumption is improved, and a hood deformation stroke is secured to improve pedestrian protection performance.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, an upper frame extending in the vehicle front-rear direction on the vehicle width direction outer side of the engine room located in the vehicle front portion, and a fender panel provided on the vehicle width direction outer side of the upper frame. The air intake of the air cleaner is arranged between them. A flange portion extending inward in the vehicle width direction at an upper portion of the fender panel is fixed to the upper surface of the upper frame via a bracket with an upward gap. A fender garnish extends in the front-rear direction of the vehicle so as to cover the gap between the upper frame and the flange portion from the inside in the vehicle width direction. A fender garnish supports a hood that opens and closes the engine room from below. The fender garnish is provided with a mounting portion mounted on the upper frame, a shielding portion covering the gap from the vehicle width direction inner side of the upper frame, and a predetermined gap provided above the flange portion of the fender panel. And a support portion that supports the hood.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, the fender garnish prevents high temperature air from being sucked into the air cleaner from the air intake port. As a result, the combustion efficiency of the engine is secured and the fuel economy is improved.
Further, according to the embodiment of the present invention, when the head of a pedestrian collides from the upper side of the hood diagonally rearward, the hood deforms downward while deforming the fender garnish. Therefore, the collision energy is absorbed before the hood contacts the fender panel. As a result, the impact absorption performance is improved and the pedestrian protection performance is improved.

The fender garnish 42 is attached to the inner surface of the upper frame 34 in the vehicle width direction and extends in the vehicle front-rear direction.
As shown in FIG. 7, the fender garnish 42 is made of synthetic resin. The air intake port 2202 is located below the front portion 42A, which is a portion of the fender garnish 42 in front of the vehicle, that is, at a portion adjacent to the front portion 42A in the fender space S3.
As shown in FIGS. 3, 5, and 6, the fender garnish 42 includes a mounting portion 44, a shielding portion 45, and a supporting portion 50.

The attachment portion 44 is a portion attached to the upper frame 34 with an attachment 52 such as a clip or a bolt. As shown in FIG. 5, the mounting portion 44 is provided with a plurality of mounting tool insertion holes 4402 through which the mounting tools 52 are inserted at intervals in the vehicle front-rear direction.
The fitting insertion hole 4402 is formed of a long hole 4402A that is inclined so as to be displaced forward of the vehicle as it goes upward.
The shielding portion 45 is a portion that extends from the mounting portion 44 and covers the gap S2 between the upper lateral plate portion 38 of the upper frame 34 and the flange portion 1602 of the fender garnish 42 from the inside in the vehicle width direction. The shield portion 45 has a lower plate portion 46, a vertical plate portion 47, and an upper plate portion 48.
The lower plate portion 46 projects inward in the vehicle width direction from the upper portion of the mounting portion 44.
The vertical plate portion 47 extends upward from the end of the horizontal plate portion 46 on the inner side in the vehicle width direction.
The upper plate portion 48 extends outward from the upper end of the vertical plate portion 47 in the vehicle width direction. Further, the upper plate portion 48 is inclined in the front portion 42A of the fender garnish 42 so as to be gradually displaced upward toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction.
In other words, the vertical plate portion 47 faces the gap S2 and extends in the vertical direction. The lower plate portion 46 extends outward from the lower end of the vertical plate portion 47 in the vehicle width direction and is connected to the mounting portion 44. The upper plate portion 48 extends outward from the upper end of the vertical plate portion 47 in the vehicle width direction and is connected to a support portion 50 described later.
With the above configuration, the fender garnish 42 is formed in a substantially U-shape whose cross-sectional shape on a virtual plane extending in the vehicle width direction and the vehicle vertical direction is open to the vehicle width direction outer side.
The support portion 50 is provided on the upper end of the shielding portion 45, extends above the flange portion 1602 of the fender panel 16 and extends outward in the vehicle width direction, contacts the hood 18 on the upper surface, and connects the hood 18 and the fender garnish 42. A weather strip 54 that seals the gap is supported. That is, the support portion 50 supports the hood 18 from below via the weather strip 54.
In other words, the support portion 50 is disposed above the flange portion 1602 of the fender panel 16 with a predetermined space therebetween to support the hood 18.
As shown in FIG. 5, in the rear portion 42B, which is the vehicle rear portion of the fender garnish 42, the amount of protrusion of the lower plate portion 46 is smaller than that in the front portion 42A, and the vertical plate portion 47 is in the vehicle width compared to the front portion 42A. It is located outside the direction. Further, the upper plate portion 48 is not inclined.
At the boundary between the front portion 42A and the rear portion 42B of the fender garnish 42, the vertical plate portion 47 is a vertical plate inclined portion 4702 that is inclined outward in the vehicle width direction toward the rear, connecting the front portion 42A and the rear portion 42B. is doing.
As shown in FIG. 3, FIG. 5, FIG. 6, and FIG. 8, leg portions 5002 that abut the flange portion 1602 are vertically provided on the lower surface of the weather strip support plate portion 50.
The leg portion 5002 is formed so as to be inclined so as to be displaced rearward of the vehicle as it goes downward.
As shown in FIGS. 3, 6, and 7, the front end of the fender garnish 42 has an opening 56 so that the space S1 surrounded by the shielding portion 45 of the fender garnish 42 and the upper frame 34 is opened to the front of the vehicle. Has been formed. As a result, the air flowing from the front of the vehicle toward the fender garnish 42 can be taken into the space S1.
That is, as shown in FIGS. 5, 6, and 7, the vehicle front side end portion 4202 of the fender garnish 42 can take in air from the vehicle front side into the space S1 surrounded by the fender garnish 42 and the upper frame 34. It is open to the front of the vehicle.
The space S1 between the fender garnish 42 and the upper frame 34 is formed such that the size of the vehicle front side (front part 42A) is larger than the size of the vehicle rear side (rear part 42B). In the present embodiment, the vertical plate portion 47 of the rear portion 42B is located outside the vertical plate portion 47 of the front portion 42A in the vehicle width direction, that is, close to the upper frame 34, thereby reducing the space S1. is doing.
Therefore, a part of the air A introduced from the opening 1402 of the front grill 14 is guided to the fender space S3 on the right side in the vehicle width direction and is sucked into the air intake 2202 of the air cleaner 22.
Further, a part of the air A introduced into the vehicle front space S from the opening 1402 of the front grill 14 is guided to the space S1 from the opening 56 of the fender garnish 42, and the flange portion 1602 and the upper horizontal plate of the upper frame 34. It is sucked into the air intake 2202 of the air cleaner 22 through the gap S2 between the portions 38.
According to the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, the fender garnish 42 passes through the vehicle width direction inner side of the upper end of the upper frame 34 and the vehicle width direction inner side of the flange portion 1602 above the air intake 2202. It extends in the front-back direction. Therefore, the high-temperature air warmed by the engine 20 in the vehicle front space S passes through the gap S2 between the flange portion 1602 of the fender panel 16 and the upper lateral plate portion 46 of the upper frame 34 to the fender panel 16. The fender garnish 42 prevents the high-temperature air from flowing into the fender space S3 between the upper frame 34 and the upper frame 34 and being sucked into the air cleaner 22 from the air intake 2202.
Therefore, the combustion efficiency of the engine 20 is ensured and the fuel consumption is improved.
Further, the support portion 50 of the fender garnish 42 supports the hood 18 above the flange portion 1602 of the fender panel 16. Therefore, for example, when the head of a pedestrian collides from the upper side of the hood 18 obliquely rearward, the hood 18 deforms downward while deforming the fender garnish 42. As a result, the collision energy can be absorbed before the hood 18 comes into contact with the fender panel 16, the impact absorption performance is improved, and the pedestrian protection performance is improved.
Further, the shielding portion 45 of the fender garnish 42 is formed in a U shape having a lower plate portion 46, a vertical plate portion 47, and an upper plate portion 48. For this reason, when the head of a pedestrian collides diagonally rearward from above the hood 18, the fender garnish 42 is likely to be deformed downward together with the hood 18. Therefore, the deformation stroke of the hood 18 is secured, and the shock absorbing performance is improved.
At this time, the deformation stroke of the hood 18 is further secured by inclining the upper plate portion 48 so as to gradually move upward toward the vehicle width direction outer side, and the shock absorbing performance is improved.
Also, the weather strip 54 is supported by using the fender garnish 42 that prevents the high temperature air warmed by the engine 20 from being sucked into the air cleaner 22. Therefore, the number of parts is reduced as compared with the case where a dedicated support member for supporting the weather strip 54 is provided.
At the front end of the fender garnish 42 located in front of the vehicle, an opening 56 is formed in which a space S1 surrounded by the fender garnish 42 and the upper frame 34 is open to the front of the vehicle. Therefore, when the vehicle is traveling, the air of low temperature introduced into the vehicle front space S from the opening 1402 of the front grill 14 is efficiently introduced into the inside of the fender garnish 42 (fender space S3). As a result, the low temperature air A is sucked into the air cleaner 22 from the air intake 2202, the combustion efficiency of the engine 20 is secured, and the fuel consumption is improved.
Further, the cross-sectional shape of the front portion 42A of the fender garnish 42 cut along a virtual plane passing through the vehicle width direction and the vertical direction is formed larger than the cross-sectional shape of the rear portion 42B of the fender garnish 42, and the air intake port 2202 is It is provided on the front portion 42A side.
In other words, the cross-sectional shape obtained by cutting the space (the space S1 surrounded by the fender garnish 42 and the upper frame 34) at the vehicle front part of the fender garnish 42 by a virtual plane passing through the vehicle width direction and the vertical direction is the vehicle of the fender garnish 42. It is formed to be larger than a cross-sectional shape obtained by cutting the space at the rear portion with an imaginary plane passing through the vehicle width direction and the vertical direction. The air intake 2202 is located below the vehicle front portion of the fender garnish 42.
Therefore, when the vehicle is traveling, the low temperature air introduced into the vehicle front space S from the opening 1402 of the front grill 14 is positively introduced into the fender space S3. As a result, low-temperature air is sucked into the air cleaner 22 from the air intake 2202, the combustion efficiency of the engine 20 is ensured, and the fuel consumption is improved.
The vertical plate portion 47 of the fender garnish 42 has a vertical plate inclined portion 4702 that inclines outward in the vehicle width direction toward the rear of the vehicle. Due to the vertical plate inclined portion 4702, the space S1 becomes smaller toward the rear of the vehicle. Therefore, it is advantageous for guiding the air having a low temperature to the air intake port 2202.
Further, the mounting portion 44 is provided with a mounting tool insertion hole 4402 for mounting the mounting part 44 to the upper frame 34, and the mounting tool insertion hole 4402 is a slender long hole that is displaced toward the front of the vehicle as it goes upward. It is formed of 4402A. Therefore, when the head of a pedestrian collides with the hood 18, the fender garnish 42 is likely to be displaced downward and rearward of the vehicle together with the hood 18. Therefore, the deformation stroke of the hood 18 is secured, and the shock absorbing performance is improved.
Further, a leg portion 5002 that abuts the flange portion 1602 is vertically provided on the support portion 50, and the leg portion 5002 is formed with an inclination that is displaced rearward of the vehicle as it goes downward. Therefore, when the head of the pedestrian collides with the hood 18, the fender garnish 42 is likely to be deformed downward and rearward of the vehicle together with the hood 18. Therefore, the deformation stroke of the hood 18 is secured, and the shock absorbing performance is improved.
