Abstract
본 발명은 유기전계발광 소자에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로 화학적 안정성, 전하이동도, 전극이나 인접한 층과의 계면 특성이 우수한 유기 화합물 및 이를 하나 이상의 유기물층의 재료로서 포함하여 구동 전압이 낮고, 발광 효율, 외부양자효율 (EQE) 등의 특성이 우수한 유기전계발광 소자에 관한 것이다.
Description
본 발명은 유기전계발광 소자에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로 화학적 안정성, 전하이동도, 전극이나 인접한 층과의 계면 특성이 우수한 유기 화합물 및 이를 하나 이상의 유기물층의 재료로서 포함하여 구동 전압이 낮고, 발광 효율, 외부양자효율 (EQE) 등의 특성이 우수한 유기전계발광 소자에 관한 것이다.
유기전계발광 소자는 기존 액정 표시 장치(LCD), 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널(PDP) 및 전계 방출 디스플레이(FED)등의 타 평판 표시 소자에 비해 구조가 간단하고, 제조 공정상 다양한 장점이 있으며 높은 휘도 및 시야각 특성이 우수하며, 응답속도가 빠르고 구동전압이 낮아 벽걸이 TV등의 평판 디스플레이 또는 디스플레이의 배면광, 조명, 광고판 등의 광원으로서 사용되도록 활발하게 개발이 진행되고 있다.
유기전계발광 소자는 일반적으로 전압을 인가하였을 때 양극으로부터 주입된 정공과 음극으로부터 주입된 전자가 재결합하여 전자-정공 쌍인 엑시톤을 형성하며 이 엑시톤의 에너지를 발광 재료에 전달함에 의해 빛으로 변환된다.
유기전계발광 소자의 효율과 안정성을 높이기 위해 이스트만 코닥사의 탕(C. W. Tang) 등에 의해 두 개의 반대 전극 사이에 적층형 유기물 박막을 구성한 저전압 구동 유기 전기발광 소자가 보고(C. W. Tang, S. A.Vanslyke, Applied Physics Letters, 51권 913페이지, 1987년)된 이래, 다층 박막 구조형 유기전계발광 소자용 유기 재료에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다.
일반적으로, 유기전계발광 소자는 음극(전자주입전극)과 양극(정공주입전극), 및 상기 두 전극 사이에 하나 이상의 유기층을 포함하는 구조를 갖는다. 이때, 유기전계발광 소자는 양극으로부터 정공주입층(HIL, hole injection layer), 정공수송층(HTL, hole transport layer), 발광층(EML, light emitting layer), 전자수송층(ETL, electron transport layer) 또는 전자주입층(EIL, electron injection layer)의 순서로 적층되며, 발광층의 효율을 높이기 위하여 전자차단층(EBL, electron blocking layer) 또는 정공차단층(HBL, hole blocking layer)을 각각 발광층의 앞뒤에 추가로 포함할 수 있다.
이렇게 유기전계발광소자를 다층 박막 구조로 제작하는 이유는, 전극과 유기물 사이의 계면 안정화를 위함이며, 발광 효율을 높일 수 있기 때문이다.
특히, 다층 박막에 재료로 사용되는 유기화합물의 경우, 각각의 특성에 따라 정공과 전자의 이동 속도 차이가 크므로 적절한 화합물을 함유하는 정공수송층과 전자수송층을 사용하여야만 정공과 전자를 발광층으로 효과적으로 전달되고, 정공과 전자의 밀도가 균형을 이루어 발광 효율을 우수하게 높일 수 있다.
이로 인해, 유기 박막층의 각층에 포함되는 유기화합물 성분들의 특성은 소자의 구동 전압, 발광 효율, 휘도, 및 소자의 수명에 큰 영향을 미칠 뿐 아니라, 최종적으로 생산된 디스플레이의 효율이나 수명에도 영향을 끼치므로, 유기전계발광소자에서 다층 구조에 적절한 특정 유기물질을 사용하는 것이 중요하게 여겨지고 있다. 따라서, 상기 유기 박막층의 각층에 포함되는 성분들에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다.
본 발명은 신규 유기 화합물을 포함하여 구동 전압이 낮고, 발광 효율, 외부양자효율 (EQE)등의 특성이 우수한 유기전계발광 소자를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
상기 목적을 달성하기 위하여,
본 발명은, 제1 전극; 상기 제1 전극에 대향하여 구비된 제2 전극; 및 상기 제1 전극과 제2 전극 사이에 구비된 1층 이상의 유기물층을 포함하는 유기전계발광 소자로서, 상기 1층 이상의 유기물층 중에서 적어도 하나는 하기 화학식 1로 표시되는 화합물을 포함하는 유기전계발광 소자 및 하기 화학식 1의 화합물을 제공한다.

또한, 본 발명은 상기 화학식 1로 표시된 유기 화합물이 포함된 유기물층으로 정공주입층, 정공수송층, 전자차단층, 발광층, 정공차단층, 전자수송층 및 전자주입층을 가지는 유기전계발광 소자를 제공한다.
본 발명에서 제공하는 신규 유기 인접한 층과의 계면 특성이 우수하고, 우수한 화학적 안정성을 가져 유기전계발광 소자의 유기물층 재료로 유용하게 적용될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명은 상기 신규 유기 화합물을 포함하는 유기전계발광 소자는 구동 전압이 낮고, 발광 효율, 외부양자 효율 (EQE) 등의 특성이 우수하다.
이하, 본 발명에 대해서 보다 상세히 설명한다.
본 발명에서 "알킬"은 탄소수 1 내지 40개의 직쇄 또는 측쇄의 포화 탄화수소에서 유래되는 1가의 치환기를 의미한다. 이의 예로는 메틸, 에틸, 프로필, 이소부틸, sec-부틸, 펜틸, iso-아밀, 헥실 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되지는 않는다.
본 발명에서 "알케닐(alkenyl)"은 탄소-탄소 이중 결합을 1개 이상 가진 탄소수 2 내지 40개의 직쇄 또는 측쇄의 불포화 탄화수소에서 유래되는 1가의 치환기를 의미한다. 이의 예로는 비닐(vinyl), 알릴(allyl), 이소프로펜일(isopropenyl), 2-부텐일(2-butenyl) 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되지는 않는다.
본 발명에서 "알키닐(alkynyl)"은 탄소-탄소 삼중 결합을 1개 이상 가진 탄소수 2 내지 40개의 직쇄 또는 측쇄의 불포화 탄화수소에서 유래되는 1가의 치환기를 의미한다. 이의 예로는 에티닐(ethynyl), 2-프로파닐(2-propynyl) 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되지는 않는다.
본 발명에서 "아릴"은 단독 고리 또는 2이상의 고리가 조합된 탄소수 6 내지 60개의 방향족 탄화수소로부터 유래된 1가의 치환기를 의미한다. 또한, 2 이상의 고리가 서로 단순 부착(pendant)되거나 축합된 형태도 포함될 수 있다. 이러한 아릴의 예로는 페닐, 나프틸, 페난트릴, 안트릴, 디메틸플루오레닐 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되지는 않는다.
본 발명에서 "헤테로아릴"은 핵원자수 5 내지 60개의 모노헤테로사이클릭 또는 폴리헤테로사이클릭 방향족 탄화수소로부터 유래된 1가의 치환기를 의미한다. 이때, 고리 중 하나 이상의 탄소, 바람직하게는 1 내지 3개의 탄소가 N, O, S 또는 Se와 같은 헤테로원자로 치환된다. 또한, 2 이상의 고리가 서로 단순 부착(pendant) 되거나 축합된 형태도 포함될 수 있고, 나아가 아릴기와의 축합된 형태도 포함될 수 있다. 이러한 헤테로아릴의 예로는 피리딜, 피라지닐, 피리미디닐, 피리다지닐, 트리아지닐과 같은 6-원 모노사이클릭 고리, 페녹사티에닐(phenoxathienyl), 인돌리지닐(indolizinyl), 인돌릴(indolyl), 퓨리닐(purinyl), 퀴놀릴(quinolyl), 벤조티아졸(benzothiazole), 카바졸릴(carbazolyl)과 같은 폴리사이클릭 고리 및 2-퓨라닐, N-이미다졸릴, 2-이속사졸릴, 2-피리디닐, 2-피리미디닐 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되지는 않는다.
본 발명에서 "아릴옥시"는 RO-로 표시되는 1가의 치환기로, 상기 R은 탄소수 6 내지 60개의 아릴을 의미한다. 이러한 아릴옥시의 예로는 페닐옥시, 나프틸옥시, 디페닐옥시 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되지는 않는다.
본 발명에서 "알킬옥시"는 R'O-로 표시되는 1가의 치환기로, 상기 R'는 탄소수 1 내지 40개의 알킬을 의미하며, 직쇄(linear), 측쇄(branched) 또는 사이클릭(cyclic) 구조를 포함할 수 있다. 알킬옥시의 예로는 메톡시, 에톡시, n-프로폭시, 1-프로폭시, t-부톡시, n-부톡시, 펜톡시 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되지는 않는다.
본 발명에서 "아릴아민"은 탄소수 6 내지 60개의 아릴로 치환된 아민을 의미한다.
본 발명에서 "시클로알킬"은 탄소수 3 내지 40개의 모노사이클릭 또는 폴리사이클릭 비-방향족 탄화수소로부터 유래된 1가의 치환기를 의미한다. 이러한 시클로알킬의 예로는 사이클로프로필, 사이클로부틸, 사이클로펜틸, 사이클로헥실, 노르보닐(norbornyl), 아다만틴(adamantine) 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되지는 않는다.
본 발명에서 "헤테로시클로알킬"은 핵원자수 3 내지 40개의 비-방향족 탄화수소로부터 유래된 1가의 치환기를 의미하며, 고리 중 하나 이상의 탄소, 바람직하게는 1 내지 3개의 탄소가 N, O, S 또는 Se와 같은 헤테로원자로 치환된다. 이러한 헤테로시클로알킬의 예로는 모르폴린, 피페라진 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되지는 않는다.
본 발명에서 "알킬실릴"은 탄소수 1 내지 40개의 알킬로 치환된 실릴이고, “아릴실릴"은 탄소수 6 내지 60개의 아릴로 치환된 실릴을 의미한다.

[합성예 1: 화합물34의 제조]
<화합물 34-1 합성>
질소분위기에서 2-브로모-4'-클로로-1,1'-비페닐 200g (748mmol)에 테트라하이드로퓨란 600ml를 첨가하여 용해하고, -78℃로 30분간 유지한 후, n-부틸리튬(2.5M) 358.81g (897mmol)을 천천히 첨가한 후 -78℃로 3시간 동안 교반 후 10,11-디하이드로-5H-디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5-온 171.25g (822mmol)을 테트라하드로퓨란 400ml에 용해하여 적가하였다.
12시간 동안 교반하고, 반응 완결 후 에틸아세테이트 300ml와 물 500 mL를 이용하여 유기층을 추출한 후, MgSO4로 건조한 후, 여액을 증류하였다.
그 후, 컬럼 크로마토그래피 정제하고 헵탄/디클로로메탄으로 재결정하여 5-(4'-클로로-[1,1'-비페닐]-2-일)-10,11-디하이드로-5H-디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5-올 148.3g을 50% 수율로 얻었다.
<화합물 34-2 합성>
5-(4'-클로로-[1,1'-비페닐]-2-일)-10,11-디하이드로-5H-디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5-올 148.0g (373mmol)에 트루플루오르아세트산 1,480ml 첨가한 후 80℃로 4시간 동안 환류하였다.
반응 완결 후 상온으로 식힌 후 디클로로메탄 300ml와 물 500 mL를 이용하여 유기층을 추출하였다. 추출 후, MgSO4로 건조하고, 여액을 증류하여 컬럼 크로마토그래피 정제 후, 헵탄/디클로로메탄으로 재결정하여 2'-클로로-10,11-디하이드로스파이로[디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5,9'-플루오렌] 106.0g을 75% 수율로 얻었다.
<화합물 34 합성>
2'-클로로-10,11-디하이드로스파이로[디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5,9'-플루오렌 6.0g (15.8mmol)와 N-([1,1'-비페닐]-2-일)-9,9-디메틸-9H-플루오렌-2-아민 4.77g (13.2mmol)와 소듐-터트 부톡사이드 2.54g (26.4mmol)을 첨가하고, 톨루엔 100mL에 용해하여 질소분위기에서 60 ℃로 30분간 유지한 후, 트리스(디벤질리덴아세톤)디팔라듐(0) 0.24g (0.26mmol)와 2-디클로헥실포스피노-2',6'-디메톡시비페닐 0.21g (0.52mmol)을 첨가한 후 100~110℃로 5시간 동안 환류하였다.
반응 완결 후 상온으로 식히고, 물 300 mL를 이용하여 유기층을 추출한 후, MgSO4로 건조하였다. 그 후, 여액을 증류하고 컬럼 크로마토그래피 정제 후, 헵탄/디클로로메탄으로 재결정하여 화합물 34 4.74 g을 51% 수율로 얻었다.

2'-클로로-10,11-디하이드로스파이로[디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5,9'-플루오렌 6.0g (15.8mmol)와 (4-([1,1'-비페닐])-4-일(9,9-디메틸-9H-플루오렌-2-일)아미노)페 닐]보로닉 엑시드 7.61g (15.8 mmol)과 제삼인산칼륨 10.06g (47.4 mmol)을 톨루 엔 150 mL, 물 15mL, 에탄올 15mL에 용해하였다.
40 ℃로 30분간 유지한 후, 초산팔라듐 0.11g (0.47 mmol), 2-디클로헥실포스피노-2',6'-디메톡시비페닐 0.39g (0.95mmol)을 첨가한 후 100~110℃로 5시간 동안 환류하였다. 반응 완결 후 상온으로 식힌 후 물 300 mL를 이용하여 유기층을 추출한 후, MgSO4로 건조하고, 여액을 증류하였다.
그 후, 컬럼 크로마토그래피 정제하고, 헵탄/디클로로메탄으로 재결정하여 화합물 167 7.27g 을 59% 수율로 얻었다.

질소분위기에서 2,2'-브로모-1,1'-비페닐 200g (641mmol)에 테트라하이드로퓨란 600ml를 첨가하여 용해하고, -78℃로 30분간 유지한 후, n-부틸리튬(2.5M) 307.69g (769mmol)을 천천히 첨가한 후 -78℃로 3시간 동안 교반하였다.
그 후, 10,11-디하이드로-5H-디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5-온 146.85g (705mmol)을 테트라하드로퓨란 400ml에 용해하여 적가하였다.
12시간 동안 교반하고, 반응 완결 후 에틸아세테이트 300ml와 물 500 mL를 이용하여 유기층을 추출한 후, MgSO4로 건조하고 여액을 증류한 후, 컬럼 크로마토그래피 정제하였다.
정제 후, 헵탄/디클로로메탄으로 재결정하여 5-(2'-브로모-[1,1'-비페닐]-2-일)-10,11-디하이드로-5H-디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5-올 106.9g을 42% 수율로 얻었다.
<화합물 281-2 합성>
5-(2'-브로모-[1,1'-비페닐]-2-일)-10,11-디하이드로-5H-디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5-올 106.0g (240mmol)에 트루플루오르아세트산 1,060ml 첨가한 후 80℃로 4시간 동안 환류하였다.
반응 완결 후 상온으로 식힌 후 디클로로메탄 300ml와 물 500 mL를 이용하여 유기층을 추출하고, MgSO4로 건조하였다. 그 후, 여액을 증류하고 컬럼 크로마토그래피 정제 후, 헵탄/디클로로메탄으로 재결정하여 4'-브로모-10,11-디하이드로스파이로[디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5,9'-플루오렌] 54.6g을 60% 수율로 얻었다.
<화합물 281 합성>
4'-브로모-10,11-디하이드로스파이로[디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5,9'-플루오렌] 6.0g (14.2mmol)와 디([1,1'-비페닐]-4-일)아민 3.80g (11.8mmol)와 소듐-터트 부톡사이드 2.27g (23.6mmol)을 첨가하고, 톨루엔 100mL에 용해하여 질소분위기에서 60 ℃로 30분간 유지하였다.
그 후, 트리스(디벤질리덴아세톤)디팔라듐(0) 0.22g (0.24mmol)와 톨루엔에 50wt%로 녹아있는 트리-터트-부틸포스핀 0.23ml (0.96mmol)을 첨가한 후 100~110℃로 5시간 동안 환류하였다.
반응 완결 후 상온으로 식힌 후 물 300 mL를 이용하여 유기층을 추출한 후, MgSO4로 건조한 후, 여액을 증류한 후, 컬럼 크로마토그래피 정제 후, 헵탄/디클로로메탄으로 재결정하여 화합물 281 3.96 g을 50.6% 수율로 얻었다.

2'-클로로-10,11-디하이드로스파이로[디벤조[a,d][7]아눌렌-5,9'-플루오렌 6.68g (15.8mmol)와 (4,-(디([1,1'-비페닐]-4-일)아미노)페닐)보로닉엑시드 6.97 g (1 5.8 mmol)과 탄산칼륨 6.55g (47.4 mmol)을 톨루엔 150 mL, 물 15mL, 에탄올 15mL에 용해한다. 40 ℃로 30분간 유지한 후, 테트라키스팔라듐 0.37g (0.32 mmol) 첨가한 후 100~110℃로 5시간 동안 환류하였다.
반응 완결 후 상온으로 식힌 후 물 300 mL를 이용하여 유기층을 추출한 후, MgSO4로 건조한 후, 여액을 증류한 후, 컬럼 크로마토그래피 정제 후, 헵탄/디클로로메탄으로 재결정하여 화합물 351 5.39 g을 46.1% 수율로 수득하였다.

[실시예 1] 화합물 34를 정공수송층 재료로 사용한 유기전계발광소자의 제조]
광-반사층인 Ag합금과 유기발광소자의 양극인 ITO(10nm)가 순차적으로 적층된 기판을 노광(Photo-Lithograph)공정을 통해 음극과 양극영역 그리고 절연층으로 구분하여 패터닝(Patterning)하였고, 이후 양극(ITO)의 일함수(work-function) 증대와 세정을 목적으로 O2플라즈마로 표면처리 하였다.
그 위에 정공주입층(HIL)으로 1,4,5,8,9,11-헥사아자트리페닐렌-헥사카보니트릴(hexaazatriphenylenehexacarbonitrile)(HAT-CN)을 100 Å 두께로 형성하였다. 이어서 상기 정공주입층 상부에, 화합물 34를 진공 증착하여 1000 Å 두께의 정공수송층을 형성하였다.
상기 정공수송층 (HTL) 상부에 전자차단층(EBL)으로써 N-페닐-N-(4-(스피로[벤조[de]안트라센-7,9'-플루오렌]-2'-일)페닐)디벤조[b,d]푸란-4-아민을 150 Å 두께로 형성하고, 상기 전자차단층(EBL) 상부에 발광층(EML)으로 Blue EML을 형성할 수 있는 호스트 물질로 α,β-ADN을 증착시키면서 도판트로 N1,N1,N6,N6-테트라키스(4-(1-실릴)페닐)파이렌-1,6-디아민을 도핑하여 200 Å 두께로 발광층을 형성하였다.
그 위에 2-(4-(9,10-디(나프탈렌-2-일)안트라센-2-일)페닐)-1-페닐-1H-벤조[d]이미다졸과 LiQ를 1:1의 중량비로 혼합하여 360 Å 두께로 전자수송층(ETL)을 증착하였으며, 음극으로 마그네슘(Mg)과 은(Ag)을 9:1 비율로 160Å 두께로 증착시켰다.
상기 음극 위에 캡핑층으로 N4,N4'-디페닐-N4,N4'-비스(4-(9-페닐-9H-카바졸-3-일)페닐)-[1,1'-비페닐]-4,4'-디아민을 60 nm 두께로 증착시켰다.
캡핑층(CPL) 위에 UV 경화형 접착제로 씰 캡(seal cap)을 합착하여 대기중의 O2나 수분으로부터 유기전계 발광소자를 보호할 수 있게 하여 유기전계발광소자를 제조하였다.
[실시예 2 내지 12] 유기전계발광소자의 제조]
화합물 34 대신 상기 합성예 2 내지 13에서 수득한 화합물 33, 35, 82, 83, 100, 161, 163, 162, 165, 167, 211을 사용한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 유기전계발광소자를 제조하였다.

상기 실시예 1에서 정공수송층으로 화합물 34 대신 종래 정공수송층으로 사용되는 NPB 또는 화합물 A를 사용한 것을 제외하고 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 유기전계발광 소자를 제조하였다.

상기 표 1을 통해, 본 발명에 따른 화합물을 정공수송층 재료로 사용하는 경우 비교예의 화합물에 비해 전압, 전류효율, 외부 양자 효율 (EQE) 등 우수한 특성을 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
[실시예 13] 화합물 281을 전자차단층 재료로 사용한 유기전계발광소자의 제조]
광-반사층인 Ag합금과 유기발광소자의 양극인 ITO(10nm)가 순차적으로 적층된 기판을 노광(Photo-Lithograph)공정을 통해 음극과 양극영역 그리고 절연층으로 구분하여 패터닝(Patterning)하였고, 이후 양극(ITO)의 일함수(work-function) 증대와 세정을 목적으로 O2 플라즈마로 표면처리 하였다.
그 위에 정공주입층(HIL)으로 1,4,5,8,9,11-헥사아자트리페닐렌-헥사카보니트릴(hexaazatriphenylenehexacarbonitrile)(HAT-CN)을 100 Å 두께로 형성하였다. 이어서 상기 정공주입층 상부에, NPB를 진공 증착하여 1000 Å 두께의 정공수송층을 형성하였다. 상기 정공수송층 (HTL) 상부에 전자차단층(EBL)으로써 상기 화합물 281을 증착하여 150Å 두께로 형성하고, 상기 전자차단층(EBL) 상부에 발광층(EML)으로 Blue EML을 형성할 수 있는 호스트 물질로 α,β-ADN을 증착시키면서 도판트로 N1,N1,N6,N6-테트라키스(4-(1-실릴)페닐)파이렌-1,6-디아민을 도핑하여 200 Å 두께로 발광층을 형성하였다.
그 위에 2-(4-(9,10-디(나프탈렌-2-일)안트라센-2-일)페닐)-1-페닐-1H-벤조[d]이미다졸과 LiQ를 1:1의 중량비로 혼합하여 360 Å 두께로 전자수송층(ETL)을 증착하였으며, 음극으로 마그네슘(Mg)과 은(Ag)을 9:1 비율로 160Å 두께로 증착시켰다.
상기 음극 위에 캡핑층으로 N4,N4'-디페닐-N4,N4'-비스(4-(9-페닐-9H-카바졸-3-일)페닐)-[1,1'-비페닐]-4,4'-디아민을 60 nm 두께로 증착시켰다.
캡핑층(CPL) 위에 UV 경화형 접착제로 씰 캡(seal cap)을 합착하여 대기중의 O2나 수분으로부터 유기전계 발광소자를 보호할 수 있게 하여 유기전계발광소자를 제조하였다.
[실시예 14 내지 16] 유기전계발광소자의 제조]
화합물 281 대신 상기 합성예 14 내지 16에서 수득한 화합물 282, 351, 352를 사용한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 13과 동일한 방법으로 유기전계발광소자를 제조하였다.
[비교예 4 내지 6]
상기 실시예 11에서 전자차단층으로 화합물 281 대신 하기 화합물 C, 화합물 D 또는 종래 전자차단층으로 사용되는 화합물 E 를 사용한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 13과 동일한 방법으로 유기전계발광 소자를 제조하였다.

[실험예 2]
상기에서 제조한 유기전기발광소자에 대해 10 mA/cm2의 조건에서 소자의 성능을 분석하고 그 결과를 하기 표 2에 나타내었다.

상기 표 2를 통해, 본 발명에 따른 화합물을 전자차단층 재료로 사용하는 경우 비교예의 화합물에 비해 전압, 전류효율, 외부 양자 효율 (EQE) 등 우수한 특성을 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
이로 인해 본 발명에 따른 화합물을 정공수송층 또는 전자차단층으로 사용 시, 저전력 고효율의 특성을 가지고 있는 것을 알 수 있다.
Claims (7)
- 하기 화학식 1로 표시되는 화합물:[화학식 1]여기서,a, b는 0 내지 1의 정수이고, a+b ≥ 1이며,l, n 및 o는 각각 독립적으로 0 내지 4의 정수이고,k 및 m 은 각각 독립적으로 0 내지 3의 정수이고,L1 및 L2는 부재이거나, 단일결합, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아릴렌기, 치환 또는 비치환의 핵원자수 6 내지 30개의 헤테로아릴렌기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 10개의 알킬렌기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 10개의 시클로알킬렌기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 10개의 알케닐렌기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 10개의 시클로알케닐렌기 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 1 내지 10개의 헤테로알킬렌기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 10개의 헤테로시클로알킬렌기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 10개의 헤테로알케닐렌기 및 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 10개의 헤테로시클로알케닐렌기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되고,R1 내지 R5는 서로 동일하거나 상이하며, 각각 독립적으로 수소, 중수소, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 1 내지 30개의 알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 30개의 알케닐기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 24개의 알키닐기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 30개의 헤테로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 7 내지 30개의 아르알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아릴기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 30개의 헤테로아릴기, 및 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 30개의 헤테로아릴알킬기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되고Ar1 및 Ar2는 각각 독립적으로 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아릴기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 30개의 헤테로아릴기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 1 내지 20개의 알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 20개의 시클로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 1 내지 20개의 헤테로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 1 내지 20개의 헤테로시클로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아르알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 20개의 알케닐기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 20개의 시클로알케닐기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 20개의 헤테로알케닐기, 및 로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되며, 여기서, *은 결합이 이루어지는 부분을 의미하고,상기 Ar3 내지 Ar6는 각각 독립적으로 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아릴기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 30개의 헤테로아릴기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 1 내지 20개의 알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 20개의 시클로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 1 내지 20개의 헤테로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 20개의 헤테로시클로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아르알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 20개의 알케닐기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 20개의 시클로알케닐기 및 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 2 내지 20개의 헤테로알케닐기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되고,상기 L1 및 L2, R1 내지 R4 및 Ar1 내지 Ar6가 치환되는 경우, 중수소, 시아노기, 니트로기, 할로겐기, 히드록시기, 탄소수 1 내지 30개의 알킬기, 탄소수 2 내지 30개의 알케닐기, 탄소수 2 내지 24개의 알키닐기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 20개의 시클로알킬기, 탄소수 2 내지 30개의 헤테로알킬기, 탄소수 7 내지 30개의 아르알킬기, 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아릴기, 탄소수 2 내지 30개의 헤테로아릴기, 탄소수 3 내지 30개의 헤테로아릴알킬기, 탄소수 1 내지 30개의 알콕시기, 탄소수 1 내지 30개의 알킬실릴기, 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아릴실릴기 및 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아릴옥시기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 치환기로 치환되며, 복수 개의 치환기로 치환되는 경우 이들은 서로 동일하거나 상이하다.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 화학식 1이 하기 화학식 2 로 표시되는 화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 화합물:[화학식 2]a, b, k, l, m, n, o, L1, L2, R1 내지 R5는 제1항에서 정의된 바와 같고,Ar3 내지 Ar6는 각각 독립적으로 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아릴기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 30개의 헤테로아릴기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 1 내지 20개의 알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 3 내지 20개의 시클로알킬기, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아르알킬기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되며,Ar3 및 Ar4 또는 Ar5 및 Ar6는 서로 직접 연결되거나, N, O 및 S로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나 이상의 헤테로 원자와 함께 6원 내지 18원의 고리를 형성할 수 있다.
- 제2항에 있어서,L1 및 L2는 부재이거나, 단일결합, 치환 또는 비치환의 탄소수 6 내지 30개의 아릴렌기인 것을 특징으로 하는 화합물.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 화합물을 포함하는 유기전계발광소자.
- 제1 전극; 상기 제1 전극에 대향하여 구비된 제2 전극; 및 상기 제1 전극과 제2 전극 사이에 구비된 1층 이상의 유기물층을 포함하는 유기전계발광 소자로서,상기 1층 이상의 유기물층 중에서 적어도 하나는 제1항에 따른 화합물을 포함하는 것인 유기전계발광 소자.
- 제 6항에 있어서,상기 유기물층은 정공주입층, 정공수송층, 전자차단층, 발광층, 정공차단층, 전자수송층 및 전자주입층으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 유기전계발광 소자.
