L'invention concerne un système seuil (9) pour un battant mobile faisant office de battant coulissant (3) ou un battant levant-coulissant mobile d'une fenêtre ou d'une porte (1), comprenant une rainure de réception (10) d'un profilé de seuil (11) servant à recevoir une nervure de guidage (12) pour le rail de guidage (15) comprenant les galets de roulement (13) de chariots (14) côté battant, lequel rail de guidage est disposé sur le côté supérieur du profilé de seuil (11) en regard du battant coulissant (3), la nervure de guidage (12) pouvant être mise en prise sur toute sa longueur par complémentarité de forme et/ou par force dans la rainure de réception (10). De préférence, au moins un profilé d'adaptation (16) est prévu, lequel permet de venir en prise par complémentarité de forme et/ou à force dans la rainure de réception (10) du profilé de seuil (11) par un moyen de liaison (18) configuré de manière convexe sur sa face inférieure (17), et comprend, sur sa face supérieure (19), une rainure de réception (20) formée de manière coïncidente par rapport à la rainure de réception (10) du profilé de seuil (11), la rainure de réception (20) du profilé d'adaptation (16) recevant la nervure de guidage (12) sur le côté supérieur et formant, conjointement avec la face supérieure (19), un appui sans barrière et en affleurement de surface. En outre, une surface d'appui (21, 22) visible est formée sur les faces respectives du profilé d'adaptation (16), surfaces d'appui contre lesquelles peuvent s'appuyer, vers le côté intérieur de la pièce (23), une surface de base (24) intérieure et, vers le côté extérieur de la pièce (25), de manière sélective, différents profilés d'élargissement (26, 27) pour la transition de la surface de base (28) extérieure, de préférence pour les transitions sans barrière.
