液晶显示面板技术是基于施加到液晶分子的电压而旋转特定角度的显示技术。通过改变施加在液晶分子两端的驱动电压,使液晶分子产生相应的转动,使得来自背光单元所产生的光源的光的行进方向改变,可通过液晶分子的不同转动角度在位于液晶层之上的红、绿、蓝色滤光片处呈现不同的灰阶亮度。通过组合具有不同灰阶亮度的红、蓝、绿三种子像素显示点,可形成不同色彩变化的单一像素显示点。
液晶分子的特性在于,如果施加到液晶分子的驱动电压的极性一直不变,则会导致液晶分子的破坏而无法恢复。因此,在保持液晶分子的两端的驱动电压的电压值不变的情况下,需要每隔一段时间将驱动电压的电压极性反转。即,将相对于公共电极(common electrode)的驱动电压的正电压极性和负电压极性进行极性互换。当像素电极的电压与公共电压的电压差的绝对值固定时,无论像素电极的电压极性为正极性还是负极性,像素所表现的灰阶亮度是相同的,但是液晶分子的转向方向相反,从而避免了液晶分子一直固定为相同方向而造成的特性破坏。
极性反转方式包括:帧反转(frame inversion)、列反转(column inversion)、行反转(row inversion)和点反转(dot inversion)。其中,帧反转和列反转存在固有的画质差的问题,因此,随着消费者对画质的要求越来越高,液晶显示面板逐渐改为行反转(如二行反转(2line inversion))和点反转的方式,以提高画质。但是,随着液晶显示面板朝着大尺寸、高解析度、高刷新率的方向发展,行反转和点反转带来的高功耗、数据驱动器过热等问题,成为设计液晶显示面板的主要技术难题。
因此,亟需开发一种新型的液晶显示面板的驱动装置,以解决上述存在的问题。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种液晶显示面板的驱动装置,可以显著提高液晶 显示面板的显示画质。
为实现上述发明目的,本发明提供一种液晶显示面板的驱动装置,包括:数据驱动器,其中,所述数据驱动器包括温度侦测模块,用于检测所述数据驱动器的温度,所述数据驱动器根据检测的温度输出反馈信号;时序控制器,向所述数据驱动器提供极性控制信号,其中,所述时序控制器接收所述反馈信号,并根据接收的反馈信号对极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式进行控制。
所述数据驱动器根据所述温度侦测模块检测的温度与预设温度的比较结果输出反馈信号。
所述极性控制信号为周期性的逻辑电平。
所述时序控制器根据接收的反馈信号调整所述极性控制信号的周期,以对极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式进行控制。
所述极性控制信号的周期所指示的极性反转方式为帧反转、列反转、行反转或点反转。
如果温度侦测模块检测的数据驱动器的温度大于或等于预设温度,则所述数据驱动器输出具有第一电平的反馈信号,所述时序控制器响应于接收到的具有第一电平的反馈信号控制所述极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式为帧反转或列反转。
所述时序控制器响应于接收到的具有第一电平的反馈信号,将所述极性控制信号的周期调整为与帧反转相应的周期或者与列反转相应的周期。
如果温度侦测模块检测的数据驱动器的温度小于预设温度,则所述数据驱动器输出具有第二电平的反馈信号,所述时序控制器响应于接收到的具有第二电平的反馈信号控制所述极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式为行反转或点反转。
所述时序控制器响应于接收到的具有第二电平的反馈信号,将所述极性控制信号的周期调整为与行反转相应的周期或者与点反转相应的周期。
本发明提供一种液晶显示面板的驱动装置,通过设置在数据驱动器中的温度侦测模块检测数据驱动器的温度,并根据检测的温度输出反馈信号至时序控制器,所述时序控制器根据接收的反馈信号对极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式进行控制。所述液晶显示面板的驱动装置根据数据驱动器传输给时序控制器的反馈信号,调整时序控制器提供给数据控制器的极性控制信号的周期,以对极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式进行控制,显著提高液晶显示面板的显示画质,且有效降低生产成本。

具体实施方式
下面参照图1描述根据本发明的实施例的液晶显示面板的驱动装置。
图1示出根据本发明实施例的液晶显示面板的驱动装置的框图。参照图1,本发明的实施例中提出一种液晶显示面板的驱动装置10,包括:数据驱动器100(Source driver IC)和时序控制器200(Timing control IC),其中,数据驱动器100包括温度侦测模块120。
具体地,温度侦测模块120用于检测所述数据驱动器100的温度,数据驱动器100根据检测的温度输出反馈信号TF。数据驱动器100根据温度侦测模块120检测的温度与数据驱动器100的预设温度的比较结果输出反馈信号。
具体地,时序控制器200向数据驱动器100提供极性控制信号(Polarity control signal,简称POL信号),其中,时序控制器200接收所述反馈信号TF,并根据接收的反馈信号TF对极性控制信号POL所指示的极性反转方式进行控制。具体地,时序控制器200根据接收的反馈信号TF调整所述极性控制信号POL的周期,以对极性控制信号POL所指示的极性反转方式进行控制。
优选地,所述极性控制信号POL为周期性的逻辑电平。
在本实施例中,所述极性控制信号POL的周期所指示的极性反转方式为帧反转、列反转、行反转或点反转。换言之,不同的周期指示不同的极性反转方式。
作为示例,如果温度侦测模块120检测的数据驱动器100的温度大于或等于预设温度,则数据驱动器100输出具有第一电平的反馈信号,时序控制器200响应于接收到的具有第一电平的反馈信号控制所述极性控制信号POL所指示的极性反转方式为帧反转或列反转。换言之,时序控制器200响应于接收到的具有第一电平的反馈信号,将所述极性控制信号POL的周期调整为与帧反转相应的周期或者与列反转相应的周期。
作为示例,如果温度侦测模块120检测的数据驱动器的温度小于预设温度,则数据驱动器100输出具有第二电平的反馈信号,时序控制器200响应于接收到的具有第二电平的反馈信号控制所述极性控制信号POL所指示的极性反转方式为行反转或点反转。换言之,时序控制器200响应于接收到的具有第二电平的反馈信号,将所述极性控制信号POL的周期调整为与行反转相应的周期或者与点反转相应的周期。
应当理解,液晶显示面板可以在架构设计时采用提高显示画质的点反转或行反转,如果温度侦测单元检测的温度小于数据驱动器的预设温度,则液晶显示面板持续采用点反转或行反转的方式;当数据驱动器过热时,即温度侦测单元检测的温度大于或等于数据驱动器的预设温度,则液晶显示面板采用帧反转或列反转,以降低数据驱动器的温度,实现多数画面下显示较高的画质,且无需增加生产成本。
采用上述根据本发明实施例的液晶显示面板的驱动装置,根据数据驱动器传输给时序控制器的反馈信号,调整时序控制器提供给数据控制器的极性控制 信号的周期,以对极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式进行控制,显著提高液晶显示面板的显示画质,且有效降低生产成本。
上面已经结合具体实施例描述了本发明,但是本发明的实施不限于此。在本发明的精神和范围内,本领域技术人员可以进行各种修改和变型,这些修改和变型将落入权利要求限定的保护范围之内。

Claims (9)

  1. 一种液晶显示面板的驱动装置,其中,包括:
    数据驱动器,其中,所述数据驱动器包括温度侦测模块,用于检测所述数据驱动器的温度,所述数据驱动器根据检测的温度输出反馈信号;
    时序控制器,向所述数据驱动器提供极性控制信号,其中,所述时序控制器接收所述反馈信号,并根据接收的反馈信号对极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式进行控制。
  2. 如权利要求1所述的驱动装置,其中,所述数据驱动器根据所述温度侦测模块检测的温度与预设温度的比较结果输出反馈信号。
  3. 如权利要求2所述的驱动装置,其中,所述极性控制信号为周期性的逻辑电平。
  4. 如权利要求1所述的驱动装置,其中,所述时序控制器根据接收的反馈信号调整所述极性控制信号的周期,以对极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式进行控制。
  5. 如权利要求4所述的驱动装置,其中,所述极性控制信号的周期所指示的极性反转方式为帧反转、列反转、行反转或点反转。
  6. 如权利要求2所述的驱动装置,其中,如果所述温度侦测模块检测的数据驱动器的温度大于或等于预设温度,则所述数据驱动器输出具有第一电平的反馈信号,所述时序控制器响应于接收到的具有第一电平的反馈信号控制所述极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式为帧反转或列反转。
  7. 如权利要求6所述的驱动装置,其中,所述时序控制器响应于接收到的具有第一电平的反馈信号,将所述极性控制信号的周期调整为与帧反转相应的周期或者与列反转相应的周期。
  8. 如权利要求2所述的驱动装置,其中,如果所述温度侦测模块检测的数据驱动器的温度小于预设温度,则所述数据驱动器输出具有第二电平的反馈信号,所述时序控制器响应于接收到的具有第二电平的反馈信号控制所述极性控制信号所指示的极性反转方式为行反转或点反转。
  9. 如权利要求8所述的驱动装置,其中,所述时序控制器响应于接收到的具有第二电平的反馈信号,将所述极性控制信号的周期调整为与行反转相应的周期或者与点反转相应的周期。
