Abstract
Description
で表されるモノフルオロリン酸エステル塩を含む非水系溶媒と、溶質としてリチウム塩を含むことを特徴とする二次電池用電解液。

本発明は、下記一般式1で表されるモノフルオロリン酸エステル塩を含む非水系溶媒に、電解質のリチウム塩を含有させた二次電池用非水電解液及び当該非水電解液を含む非水電解液二次電池を提供するものである。
アルカリ金属としては、具体的には、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム、ルビジウム、又はセシウムが挙げられる。入手の容易さ及びコストの優位性の観点から選択すれば、リチウム、ナトリウム、又はカリウムが好ましい。
オニウムとしては、具体的に、アンモニウム、ホスホ二ウム、オキソニウム、又はスルホニウム等が挙げられる。
アルカリ土類金属としては、具体的に、ベリリウム、マグネシウム、カルシウム、ストロンチウム、又はバリウムが挙げられる。入手の容易さ、コストの優位性及び安全性の観点から選択すれば、マグネシウム、又はカルシウムが好ましい。
炭素数が1~10であるハロゲン化アルキルとしては、上記の炭素数が1~10であるアルキルとして例示した基中の水素原子が、フッ素、塩素、臭素等のハロゲン原子により置換された基が挙げられ、具体的には、モノフルオロメチル、トリフルオロメチル、ジクロロエチル、ヘキサフルオロプロピル等が挙げられる。
炭素数が2~10であるアルケニルとしては、ビニル、2-プロペニル等が挙げられ、
炭素数が2~10であるハロゲン化アルケニルとしては、上記の炭素数が2~10であるアルケニルとして例示した基中の水素原子が、フッ素、塩素、臭素等のハロゲン原子により置換された基が挙げられ、具体的には、2-フルオロビニル、3,3-ジフルオロ-2-プロペニル等が挙げられる。
炭素数が6~10であるアリールとしては、フェニル、ナフチル、等が挙げられ、
炭素数が6~10であるハロゲン化アリールとしては、上記の炭素数が6~10であるアリールとして例示した基中の水素原子が、フッ素、塩素、臭素等のハロゲン原子により置換された基が挙げられ、具体的には、ペンタフルオロフェニル、フルオロナフチル等が挙げられる。
Rnの構造中に有してもよいハロゲン以外の置換基としては、ヒドロキシ基、ニトリル基、ニトロ基、カルボニル基、ホルミル基、アミノ基、シリル基等が挙げられ、
Rnの構造中に有してもよいヘテロ原子としては、ホウ素、窒素、酸素、ケイ素、リン、硫黄、セレン等が挙げられ、
複数の炭素により形成される環状構造としては、ベンゼン環、ピロール環、フラン環、シクロアルカン等の構造が挙げれる。
これらの中でも、Rnとしては、電池特性の点から、アルキル基、ハロゲン化アルキル基、アルキレン、ハロゲン化アルキレンが好ましく、合成の容易さの点からアルキル基、ハロゲン化アルキル基がより好ましい。
また、金属層間化合物等の層状構造や、スピネル型構造や、オリビン型構造を有するリチウム遷移金属複合酸化物を使用することができる。
遷移金属元素としては、ニッケル、コバルト、マンガン、チタン、及び鉄等から選択される少なくとも1種の金属を含有するものが好ましい。
さらに、これらの遷移金属元素に、リチウム、マグネシウム、アルミニウム、チタンを添加又は置換した遷移金属複合酸化物であってもよい。
正極活物質としては、高エネルギー密度の非水電解液二次電池を得るために、層状構造を有するリチウム遷移金属複合酸化物を用いることが好ましく、具体的には、リチウム・コバルト複合酸化物、リチウム・コバルト・ニッケル・マンガン複合酸化物、リチウム・コバルト・ニッケル・アルミニウム複合酸化物等を好ましいものとして挙げることができる。
正極活物質、導電材、及び結着剤の合計量に対する、正極活物質の含有量は、好ましくは10.0~99.9質量%、より好ましくは50.0~98.0質量%である。
正極活物質、導電材、及び結着剤の合計量に対する、導電材の含有量は、好ましくは0.05~50.0質量%、より好ましくは1.0~30.0質量%である。
正極活物質、導電材、及び結着剤の合計量に対する、結着剤の含有量は、好ましくは0.05~50.0質量%、より好ましくは1.0~30.0質量%である。
例えば、金属リチウム、リチウム-シリコン合金、リチウム-スズ合金等のリチウム合金、スズ-シリコン合金、リチウム-チタン合金、スズ-チタン合金、チタン酸化物等のスズ系若しくはチタン系化合物、炭素材料、導電性ポリマー等を用いることができる。
スズ系若しくはチタン系化合物としては、SnO2、SnO、TiO2等の電位が正極活物質に比べて卑な金属酸化物を用いることができる。
負極活物質としては、特に、リチウムの吸蔵及び放出に伴う体積変化が少なくて可逆性に優れる結晶性黒鉛等の炭素材料を用いることが好ましい。
塩化リチウム 7.6g(0.18mol)、塩化ホスホリル 25.0g(0.16mol)、ジメチルカーボネート 62.5gを250mLのPFA製容器に量りとった。続いて、窒素シールの下、10℃で撹拌しながら純水 2.9g(0.16mol)を30分かけて滴下した。30分撹拌した後、無水メタノール(含水率0.1%) 5.2g(0.16mol)を30分かけて撹拌しながら徐々に滴下した。さらに、30分撹拌した後、14%フッ化水素ジメチルカーボネート溶液 34.3g(フッ化水素換算0.24mol)を加え、10℃で30分撹拌した。その後、120℃で、窒素シールしながら1時間撹拌した。120℃で2時間加熱し余剰な溶媒や反応副生物を留去せしめた。続いて、室温まで冷却すると粗モノフルオロリン酸メチルリチウムを得た。得られた粗体に精製処理を実施したところ、イオンクロマトグラフィーにおいて、モノフルオロリン酸メチルリチウムのピークをリテンションタイム6.5~6.7minに観測し、その相対面積は84%であった。NMRにより分析を行うと、モノフルオロリン酸メチルリチウムのピークは、1H-NMR(Acetone)において、3.6ppm(d)、31P-NMR(Acetone)において、-4.9ppm(d)、19F-NMR(Acetone)において、-84.1ppm(d)に観測された。
塩化リチウム 7.6g(0.18mol)、塩化ホスホリル 25.0g(0.16mol)、ジエチルカーボネート 62.5gを250mLのPFA製容器に量りとった。続いて、窒素シールの下、10℃で撹拌しながら純水 2.9g(0.16mol)を30分かけて滴下した。30分撹拌した後、無水エタノール(含水率0.5%) 7.4g(0.16mol)を30分かけて撹拌しながら徐々に滴下した。さらに、30分撹拌した後、14%フッ化水素ジメチルカーボネート溶液 34.3g(フッ化水素換算0.24mol)を加え、10℃で30分撹拌した。その後、120℃で、窒素シールしながら1時間撹拌した。120℃で2時間加熱し余剰な溶媒や反応副生物を留去せしめた。続いて、室温まで冷却すると粗モノフルオロリン酸エチルリチウムを得た。得られた粗体に精製処理を実施したところ、イオンクロマトグラフィーにおいて、モノフルオロリン酸エチルリチウムのピークをリテンションタイム6.5~6.7minに観測し、その相対面積は88%であった。NMRにより分析を行うと、モノフルオロリン酸エチルリチウムのピークは、31P-NMR(Acetone)において、-5.9ppm(d)、19F-NMR(Acetone)において、-81.1ppm(d)に観測された。
塩化リチウム 7.6g(0.18mol)、塩化ホスホリル 25.0g(0.16mol)、ジメチルカーボネート 62.5gを250mLのPFA製容器に量りとった。続いて、窒素シールの下、10℃で撹拌しながら純水 2.9g(0.16mol)を30分かけて滴下した。30分撹拌した後、無水ノルマル-ヘキサノール 16.3g(0.16mol)を30分かけて撹拌しながら徐々に滴下した。さらに、30分撹拌した後、14%フッ化水素ジメチルカーボネート溶液 34.3g(フッ化水素換算0.24mol)を加え、10℃で30分撹拌した。その後、120℃で2時間加熱し余剰な溶媒や反応副生物を留去せしめた。続いて室温まで冷却すると粗モノフルオロリン酸ヘキシルリチウムを得た。得られた粗体に精製処理を実施したところ、イオンクロマトグラフィーにおいて、モノフルオロリン酸ヘキシルリチウムのピークをリテンションタイム6.5~6.7minに観測し、その相対面積は81%であった。NMRにより分析を行うと、モノフルオロリン酸ヘキシルリチウムのピークは、31P-NMR(Acetone)において、-6.2ppm(d)、19F-NMR(Acetone)において、-81.8ppm(d)に観測された。
塩化リチウム 7.6g(0.18mol)、塩化ホスホリル 25.0g(0.16mol)、ジメチルカーボネート 62.5gを250mLのPFA製容器に量りとった。続いて、窒素シールの下、10℃で撹拌しながら純水 2.9g(0.16mol)を30分かけて滴下した。30分撹拌した後、無水ノルマル-デカノール 25.3g(0.16mol)を30分かけて撹拌しながら徐々に滴下した。さらに、30分撹拌した後、20%フッ化水素ジメチルカーボネート溶液 25.2g(フッ化水素換算0.25mol)を加え、10℃で30分撹拌した。その後、120℃で2時間加熱し余剰な溶媒や反応副生物を留去せしめた。続いて室温まで冷却すると粗モノフルオロリン酸デシルリチウムを得た。得られた粗体に精製処理を実施したところ、イオンクロマトグラフィーにおいて、モノフルオロリン酸デシルリチウムのピークをリテンションタイム6.5~6.7minに観測し、その相対面積は87%であった。NMRにより分析を行うと、モノフルオロリン酸デシルリチウムのピークは31P-NMR(Acetone)において、-6.2ppm(d)、19F-NMR(Acetone)において、-81.7ppm(d)に観測された。
炭酸カルシウム 7.7g(0.08mol)、塩化ホスホリル 25.0g(0.16mol)、ジメチルカーボネート 62.5gを250mLのPFA製容器に量りとった。続いて、窒素シールの下、10℃で撹拌しながら純水 1.5g(0.08mol)を30分かけて滴下した。30分撹拌した後、無水メタノール 5.8g(0.16mol)を30分かけて撹拌しながら徐々に滴下した。さらに、30分撹拌した後、20%フッ化水素ジメチルカーボネート溶液 25.2g(フッ化水素換算0.25mol)を加え、10℃で30分撹拌した。その後、120℃で2時間加熱し余剰な溶媒や反応副生物を留去せしめた。続いて室温まで冷却すると粗モノフルオロリン酸メチルカルシウムを得た。得られた粗体に精製処理を実施したところ、イオンクロマトグラフィーにおいて、モノフルオロリン酸メチルカルシウムのピークをリテンションタイム6.5~6.7minに観測し、その相対面積は85%であった。NMRにより分析を行うと、モノフルオロリン酸メチルカルシウムのピークは、1H-NMR(Acetone)において、3.8ppm(d)31P-NMR(Acetone)において、-7.4ppm(d)、19F-NMR(Acetone)において、-84.2ppm(d)に観測された。
ジフルオロリン酸リチウム 10.8g(0.10mol)、1,2-ジメトキシエタン 40g (44.4mol)を250mLのPFA製容器に量りとった。続いて、窒素シールの下、60℃で撹拌しながら無水メタノール(含水率0.1%)1.3g(0.04mol)を30分かけて撹拌しながら徐々に滴下した。さらに30分撹拌した後、120℃で2時間加熱し余剰な溶媒や反応副生物を留去せしめた。続いて、室温まで冷却すると粗モノフルオロリン酸メチルリチウム及びジフルオロリン酸リチウムの混合物が得られた。得られた混合物に精製処理を実施したところ、イオンクロマトグラフィーにおいて、イオンクロマトグラフィーにおいて、モノフルオロリン酸メチルリチウムのピークをリテンションタイム6.5~6.7minに観測し、その相対面積は73%であった。NMRにより分析を行うと、モノフルオロリン酸メチルリチウムのピークは、1H-NMR(Acetone)において、3.6ppm(d)、31P-NMR(Acetone)において、-4.9ppm(d)、19F-NMR(Acetone)において、-84.1ppm(d)に観測された。
500mLのPFA製ボトルに顆粒状のヘキサフルオロリン酸リチウム100.1g(0.66mol)を入れ、窒素ガスでシールしながら振とう機にセットし、純水47.5g(2.64mol)と塩化リチウム粉末123.0g(2.90mol)をそれぞれ0.2g/min、2.1g/minの速度で導入し。40℃で22時間反応を行った。得られた結晶を120℃の乾燥機中で窒素気流下乾燥し、粗ジフルオロリン酸リチウムを得た。得られた結晶に精製処理を実施したところ、イオンクロマトグラフィーにおいて、ジフルオロリン酸リチウムの相対面積は99%以上であった。
500mLのPFA製ボトルに顆粒状のヘキサフルオロリン酸リチウム100.3g(0.66mol)を入れたものを、窒素ガスでシールしながら振とう機にセットし、その上で純水27.9g(1.55mol)と塩化チオニル260.5g(2.19mol)をそれぞれ0.2g/min、1.7g/minの速度で導入し。25℃で22時間反応を行った。得られた結晶を120℃の乾燥機中で窒素気流下乾燥し、粗ジフルオロリン酸リチウムを得た。得られた結晶に精製処理を実施したところ、イオンクロマトグラフィーにおいて、ジフルオロリン酸リチウムの相対面積は99%以上であった。
次に前記式1で示されるモノフルオロリン酸エステル塩が、良質な被膜を形成する効果があることを明らかにするため、前記式1で示されるモノフルオロリン酸エステル塩を含む非水電解液を用いた非水電解液二次電池について、添加効果を確認するための評価試験を実施した。
正極活物質としてLiCoO2 93質量部、導電材としてアセチレンブラック 4質量部、及び結着剤としてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)3質量部を混合して、正極材料とした。この正極材料をN-メチル-2-ピロリドン(NMP)に分散させてスラリー状とした。このスラリーをアルミニウム製の正極集電体の片面に塗布し、乾燥後、プレス成型してLiCoO2正極を作製した。
負極活物質として人造黒鉛97.0質量部、結着剤としてスチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)2.0質量部、及びカルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)1.0質量部を混合して、負極材料とした。この負極材料を水に分散させてスラリー状とした。このスラリーを銅製の負極集電体の片面に塗布し、乾燥後、プレス成型して黒鉛負極を作製した。
ここで、前記の2032型コインセルにおいて、SUS316L製の2032型コインセル部材を使用し、正極1にLiCoO2正極、負極2に黒鉛負極を所定の大きさに切断したものを用いた。これらの電極の間に、製造例1~4で合成したモノフルオロリン酸エステル塩を含む非水電解液3を含浸させた厚さ25μmのポリプロピレン製セパレーター4をはさんで、ガスケット7を付したケース5内に保持し、スペーサー8とウェブワッシャー9を重ね、キャップ6を被せて、密閉、封止して2032型コインセルの非水電解液二次電池を作製した。
エチレンカーボネート(EC)とエチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)をEC:EMC=3:7の体積比で混合した非水系溶媒に、電解質としてヘキサフルオロリン酸リチウム(LiPF6)を1.1mol/Lの割合で溶解させた溶液に、モノフルオロリン酸メチルリチウムを溶液に対して3wt%添加し、非水電解液を調製し、前記の手順にて図1に示す2032型コインセルの非水電解液二次電池を作製した。
エチレンカーボネート(EC)とエチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)をEC:EMC=3:7の体積比で混合した非水系溶媒に、電解質としてヘキサフルオロリン酸リチウム(LiPF6)を1.1.mol/Lの割合で溶解させた溶液に、モノフルオロリン酸エチルリチウムを溶液に対して3wt%添加し、非水電解液を調製し、前記の手順にて図1に示す2032型コインセルの非水電解液二次電池を作製した。

エチレンカーボネート(EC)とエチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)をEC:EMC=3:7の体積比で混合した非水系溶媒に、電解質としてヘキサフルオロリン酸リチウム(LiPF6)を1.1.mol/Lの割合で溶解させた溶液に、ジフルオロリン酸リチウムを溶液に対して3wt%添加し、非水電解液を調製し、前記の手順にて図1に示す2032型コインセルの非水電解液二次電池を作製した。
エチレンカーボネート(EC)とエチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)をEC:EMC=3:7の体積比で混合した非水系溶媒に、電解質としてヘキサフルオロリン酸リチウム(LiPF6)を1.1.mol/Lの割合で溶解させて非水電解液を調製し、前記の手順にて図1に示す2032型コインセルの非水電解液二次電池を作製した。

前記式1で示されるモノフルオロリン酸エステル塩である製造例1のモノフルオロリン酸メチルリチウムと製造例2のモノフルオロリン酸エチルリチウムと製造例3のモノフルオロリン酸ヘキシルリチウムと製造例4のモノフルオロリン酸デシル3wt%を含む非水電解液を用いた実施例1~4の非水電解液二次電池は、ジフルオロリン酸リチウムを1wt%含む非水電解液を用いた比較例1や、フルオロリン酸塩を含まない非水電解液を用いた比較例3の非水電解液二次電池に比べ、容量残存率及び容量復帰率が共に向上していた。
前記式1で示されるモノフルオロリン酸エステル塩は、非水系溶媒への溶解度が高く、正極及び負極界面に良質な被膜を形成し、優れた電池特性を提供することができるといえる。

Claims (7)
- 前記式1におけるAが、リチウム、ナトリウム、カリウム、アンモニウム、ホスホ二ウム及びスルホニウムからなる群より選択される何れか1種であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記式2におけるAが、マグネシウム又はカルシウムであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記モノフルオロリン酸エステル塩が、非水系溶媒全体に対して0.01~20.0質量%の範囲で含まれることを特徴とする請求項1~4の何れか1項に記載の二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記非水系溶媒が、エチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート、ジメチルカーボネート、ジエチルカーボネート及びエチルメチルカーボネートからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項1~5の何れか1項に記載の二次電池用非水電解液。
- 正極及びリチウムイオンを吸蔵し且つ放出することが可能な負極、並びに請求項1~6の何れか1項に記載の二次電池用非水電解液を用いることを特徴とする非水電解液二次電池。
