Definitions
- the present invention relates to a polymerizable composition for an optical material from which a thiourethane urea molded article can be obtained and a method for producing the same.
- Plastic lenses are lighter and harder to break than inorganic lenses and can be dyed, so they have become popular for glasses and sunglasses.
- Various resins have been developed and used so far.
- representative examples include allyl resins obtained from diethylene glycol bisallyl carbonate and diallyl isophthalate, (meth) acrylic resins obtained from (meth) acrylates, and the like.
- examples thereof include thiourethane resins obtained from thiols (Patent Document 1).
- Patent Documents 2 to 6 urethane urea molded bodies have been developed for spectacle lens applications as substrates having good impact resistance.
- a thiourethane molded product can provide a plastic lens having a high refractive index.
- the higher the refractive index the more the specific gravity tends to increase. In some cases, the higher the refractive index, the smaller the effect on weight reduction.
- the urethane urea molded body is a lighter material because of its lower specific gravity than the thiourethane molded body, and a plastic lens having good impact resistance can be obtained.
- the plastic lens made of a urethane urea molded product has poor light resistance, and may be colored yellow when used for a long time.
- pot life because the time from preparation of the composition to curing (hereinafter referred to as pot life) is short, polymerization spots occur during the injection into the casting mold, or the polymerization proceeds rapidly. was there. As a result, many striae may occur in the obtained lens.
- the present inventors have low specific gravity, excellent impact resistance and light resistance, and a long pot life of the polymerizable composition.
- intensive studies were conducted.
- the present inventors have found that the above-mentioned problems can be solved by using specific amines, isocyanates and thiols, and further using amines and isocyanates in a predetermined range, and have completed the present invention. . Furthermore, as an unexpected effect, it has also been found that a thiourethane urea molded body composed of thiol, isocyanate and amine, which is further added with an amine, has higher heat resistance than a thiourethane molded body composed of thiol and isocyanate. It was. The higher the heat resistance of the molded body, the better the secondary workability because deformation and dyeing spots during dyeing are suppressed and deformation during coating is suppressed. Therefore, a desired product can be manufactured with a high yield, which can greatly contribute to the industry.

Abstract
