Abstract
Description
導電性を有し、操舵力を伝達するステアリングシャフトと、
導電性を有し、径方向に貫通して軸方向に延びるガイド溝部を備え、前記ステアリングシャフトを回転可能に支持するアウタコラムと、
導電性を有し、前記アウタコラムに軸方向の相対移動を可能に内嵌し、前記ステアリングシャフトを回転可能に支持するインナコラムと、
前記ガイド溝部内に収容され、前記インナコラムに取り付けられたガイド部材と、
前記ガイド溝部の内側で前記インナコラムに取り付けられ、前記アウタコラムに接した通電部材と、を有することを特徴とするステアリング装置を提供する。
これにより、ステアリングホイールから車体への新たな通電経路を確保することができる。
前記嵌合した部分において、前記リヤステアリングシャフト又は前記フロントステアリングシャフトに樹脂コーティングが施されている。
これにより、ステアリングシャフトの嵌合部で生じるガタを防ぐことができる。
図1は本願の第1実施形態に係るステアリング装置2を用いたステアリング機構1を斜め前方から見た斜視図である。図1に示すように、本実施形態のステアリング装置2は、ステアリングホイール101の操作に要する力を軽減するために、ステアリングコラムに軸支されたステアリングシャフト3および中間シャフト102からステアリングギヤ103に伝達された操舵力を電動アシスト機構104でアシストし、図示しないラックを左右に往復運動させることでラックに連結した左右のタイロッド105を介して前輪を転舵する。
ステアリングコラムは、前方側に配置されたアウタコラム10と後方側に配置されたインナコラム11とから構成されている。アウタコラム10にはインナコラム11の外径よりも僅かに大きい内径を有する保持筒孔13(図5に図示)が軸方向に沿って形成されており、この保持筒孔13にインナコラム11が嵌合している。
図5、図7に示すように、インナコラム11の前方側の上面にはアウタコラム10のガイド溝部25に係合するアッパストッパ30が装着されている。このガイド溝部25とアッパストッパ30との係合により、アウタコラム10とインナコラム11との相対回転が防止されるとともに、インナコラム11とアウタコラム10との軸方向の相対移動範囲が規制される。即ち、アッパストッパ30は、ガイド溝部25の後端に当接することでインナコラム11の後方へのテレスコピック調整範囲(図5中に符号TArで示す)を規制するとともに、ガイド溝部25の前端に当接することで二次衝突時におけるインナコラム11の移動範囲(図5中に符号CPで示す)を規制する。
図2、図4、図7に示すように、ガイド部材31と段付低頭ボルト35の上方段部35bとの間には、通電部材として、左右に接触片41、42を有する円形の通電プレート40が挟持されている。通電プレート40は、ガイド部材31の上面に突設された4つの係止突起31dによって回り止めされている。通電プレート40は、弾性を有するばね鋼板の打ち抜きプレス成型品であり、通電プレート40の材料としては、ばね鋼板以外にリン青銅板などの材料を用いることもできる。
図5に示すように、インナコラム11の先端側の下面には、スリット部26に遊嵌するアルミ合金ダイキャスト成型品のロアストッパ50が装着されている。本実施形態の場合、ロアストッパ50は、後述するバッファブロック53がスリット部26の前端に当接することにより、インナコラム11の前方へのテレスコピック調整範囲(図5中に符号TAfで示す)を規制する。
図5に示すように、ステアリングシャフト3は、テレスコピック調整を可能とすべく、ステアリングコラム内でスプライン結合されたフロントステアリングシャフト61とリヤステアリングシャフト62とによって構成されている。ステアリングシャフト3は、前述したように、アウタコラム10の前端に嵌挿されたボールベアリング27と、インナコラム11の後端に嵌挿されたボールベアリング29とによって回転自在に支持されている。
図3及び図6に示すように、チルトブラケット12は、左右方向に延びる上板71と、この上板71の下面に溶接された左右側板72、73とを有している。上板71は、ボルト穴71aを通したボルト74によって車体100に締結される。左右側板72、73の間隔は、自由状態でアウタコラム10の左右方向の幅よりも若干大きく設定されている。左右側板72、73には、チルト調整用長孔72a、73aが形成されている。チルト調整用長孔72a、73aは、前述したピボットボス22を中心とする円弧状に形成されている。
図6に示すように、運転者が操作レバー82を締め付け側に回動させると、固定カム84の傾斜カム面の山に可動カム83の傾斜カム面の山が乗り上げ、締付ボルト81を左側に引っ張る一方で固定カム84を右側に押圧する。これにより、左右側板72、73がアウタコラム10の下部を左右から締め付け、ステアリングコラムのチルト方向の移動を制限するのと同時に、アウタコラム10がインナコラム11を締め付ける締付摩擦力と摩擦板85に生じる摩擦力とによってインナコラム11の軸方向の移動が制限される。
本実施形態のステアリング装置2においても、図5中に波線矢印で示すように、ステアリングホイール101から、リヤステアリングシャフト62およびボールベアリング29を経由し、インナコラム11に連続する通電経路は確保される。しかし、インナコラム11の外周に樹脂コーティングが施されているため、インナコラム11からアウタコラム10への直接的な通電経路は遮断される。また、本実施形態のステアリング装置2では、フロントステアリングシャフト61の雄スプライン61aに樹脂コーティングが施されているため、ステアリングホイール101が取り付けられたリヤステアリングシャフト62からフロントステアリングシャフト61への通電経路も遮断される。
次に、図8、図9を参照して、上記第1実施形態の2つの変形例を説明する。これら変形例は、どちらもガイド壁23、24と通電プレート40の形状が第1実施形態とは一部異なっているが、他の構成は第1実施形態と同一であるため、第1実施形態に係るステアリング装置2と対応する部分には第1実施形態と同じ参照符号を付して、重複する説明を省略する。
次に、本願の第2実施形態について、図10乃至図16を参照しながら説明する。本第2実施形態に係るステアリング装置は、上記第1実施形態に係るステアリング装置とは通電プレートのみ異なり、その他は上記第1実施形態と同様である。したがって、本第2実施形態の説明においては、上記第1実施形態に係るステアリング装置と対応する部分には第1実施形態と同じ参照符号を付し、第1実施形態の説明と重複する説明は省略する。
以上に説明した本第2実施形態によれば、インナコラム11から車体100への連続した通電経路をより確実に確保することができる。
次に、本願の第3実施形態について図17乃至図25を参照しながら説明する。本第3実施形態に係るステアリング装置は、上記第1実施形態に係るステアリング装置とは通電プレートのみ異なり、その他は上記第1実施形態と同様である。したがって、本第3実施形態の説明においては、第1実施形態に係るステアリング装置と対応する部分に同じ参照符号を付し、上記第1実施形態に係るステアリング装置と重複する説明は省略する。
以上に説明した本第3実施形態によれば、接触片41、42、44、45をアウタコラム10に確実に接触させることができ、インナコラム11から車体100への連続した通電経路を確保することができる。特に、本第3実施形態においては、通電プレート40が4箇所でアウタコラム10に接するため、通電経路の信頼性が高い。

Claims (15)
- 導電性を有し、操舵力を伝達するステアリングシャフトと、
導電性を有し、径方向に貫通して軸方向に延びるガイド溝部を備え、前記ステアリングシャフトを回転可能に支持するアウタコラムと、
導電性を有し、前記アウタコラムに軸方向の相対移動を可能に内嵌し、前記ステアリングシャフトを回転可能に支持するインナコラムと、 前記ガイド溝部内に収容され、前記インナコラムに取り付けられたガイド部材と、
前記ガイド溝部の内側で前記インナコラムに取り付けられ、前記アウタコラムに接した通電部材と、を有することを特徴とするステアリング装置。 - 導電性を有し、前記インナコラムに接して前記ガイド部材と前記通電部材を前記インナコラムに固定した取付金具を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記通電部材は、金属の板材から成り、弾性変形して前記アウタコラムに所定の接触圧をもって接していることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記通電部材は、前記ガイド溝部の両側に形成されたガイド壁の上面に接することを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか一項に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記通電部材は、左右両側に延びる一対の接触片を有することを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれか一項に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記通電部材は、前記ガイド壁の上面に接する接触片を車両前後方向に複数並べて有することを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれか一項に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記接触片は、通電部材の左右両側に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記接触片には、前記アウタコラム側に突出した接触突起が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項5ないし7のいずれか一項に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記接触突起は半球状に突出していることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記接触突起は前後方向に長いことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記接触片の基部側部分にたわみ部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項5ないし10のいずれか一項に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記たわみ部の中央に孔が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記アウタコラムの表面のうち前記通電部材が接触する面は研削加工によって平滑に仕上げられていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし12のいずれか一項に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記アウタコラムの内周面又は前記インナコラムの外周面に樹脂コーティングが施されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし13のいずれか一項に記載のステアリング装置。
- 前記ステアリングシャフトは、車両後方側に配置されたリヤステアリングシャフトと車両前方側に配置されたフロントステアリングシャフトとが嵌合して成り、
前記嵌合した部分において、前記リヤステアリングシャフト又は前記フロントステアリングシャフトに樹脂コーティングが施されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし14のいずれか一項に記載のステアリング装置。
