Abstract

[Problem] To provide a surface processing device which prevents processing unevenness when a nozzle unit for spraying an abrasive cleaning material, flame coating material or similar moves in a reciprocating fashion across the surface of an object. [Solution] A surface processing device comprising at least: a cylindrical injection case provided with a main opening section and an auxiliary opening section; an annular adsorbent seal which seals the gap between the injection case and the surface of an object; a nozzle which sprays surface processing substances toward the surface of an object; a mechanism for moving the nozzle horizontally which moves the nozzle horizontally in a reciprocating fashion across the surface of the object; a flat belt for covering the opening of the auxiliary opening section; and a vacuum generating means for decompressing the space enclosed by the surface of the object, the injection case, the adsorbent seal and the flat belt. Therein, a movement means such as a traveling wheel is provided, the mechanism for moving the nozzle horizontally is arranged such that the nozzle is moved horizontally in a direction that intersects with the movement direction of the surface processing device, and the nozzle is also moved in a reciprocating fashion in a direction that intersects with the direction in which the nozzle is moving horizontally.
