Abstract
Cathéter à ballonnet à élution médicamenteuse comprenant un corps de cathéter à ballonnet et une élution médicamenteuse (7). Le corps de cathéter à ballonnet comprend à son tour un ballonnet (1) dont la surface externe présente une pluralité de rainures (6). La partie rainurée de la surface externe du ballonnet (1) et la partie plate sont revêtues d'une élution médicamenteuse (7). Le remplissage des rainures (6) avec l'élution médicamenteuse rend celles-ci convexes. Ledit cathéter à ballonnet à élution médicamenteuse ne permet pas seulement de porter davantage de médicament, évitant ainsi toute perte lors du transport de médicaments, mais aussi de verser directement dans le sang le médicament contenu dans la rainure en raison de l'effet convexe obtenu, ce qui a pour effet d'accélérer la libération et d'augmenter la concentration de médicament à l'emplacement cible d'où une action rapide sur l'emplacement cible ce qui prévient l'hyperplasie des tissus vasculaires à l'emplacement cible et la resténose.
