Abstract

The invention relates to a device for capping a bottle, having firstly a component (2) comprising a part (5) in the form of a dome, from which flat tabs (60) extend radially and substantially tangentially, and secondly a belt (4) which connects the free ends of the tabs (60) with a view to crimping on the neck (7) of the bottle, said ends being designed to be suitable for securing the belt (4) while allowing it to slide thereon. The component (2) is produced from plastics material, the free end of each of the tabs (60) is designed to be suitable for receiving and holding the belt (4) and has a bulge (61) which protrudes from the inner side of the tab (60) so as to create a shoulder that is able to come into abutment under the ring (70) on the neck (7) of the bottle, and the free ends each have on their outer side a groove (63) of transverse axis, said groove being intended to allow the belt (4) to pass and be held.
