Abstract
단말의 위치 결정 방법이 개시된다. 중첩 네트워크 환경에 속한 단말의 위치 결정 방법은 단말이 위치 결정 요청을 포지셔닝 서버에게 전송하는 단계와 단말이 포지셔닝 서버로부터 단말의 주변 전송 포인트들에게 할당된 가상 셀 아이디를 포함한 위치 결정 지원 정보를 수신하는 단계를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다. 따라서, 본 발명에 따른 단말 위치 결정 방법을 이용하면 다수의 전송 포인트들이 동일한 셀 아이디를 가지도록 구성된 중첩 네트워크 환경에서도 높은 정확도의 위치 결정이 가능해진다.
