Abstract
充電ケーブル1の表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられているので、電気自動車100が夜間に充電される場合、地面に這わされている充電ケーブル1が蓄光材料の作用で発光することになる。つまり、表面が発光することで充電ケーブル1の視認性向上を図ることができ、その結果、人が充電ケーブル1に躓きにくくなって安全性の向上を図ることができる。しかも、蓄光材料で放射される光で充電ケーブル1の表面を発光させているので、充電ケーブル1の表面に電気的な光源(発光ダイオードなど)を取り付ける場合と異なり、余分な電力消費を抑えて省エネや節電を図ることができる。
Description
本発明は、電気自動車などの電気車両に充電するための電気車両用充電装置に関する。
従来の電気車両用充電装置としては、例えば、特許文献1に記載されている充電ボックスがある。この充電ボックスは、前面が開口する箱形の本体ケースと、本体ケースの前面開口を開閉自在に閉塞する防水扉とを備える。本体ケースの底面(背面)に、充電コンセントや充電スイッチが配設され、充電ケーブルのプラグが充電コンセントに挿抜自在に接続される。充電ケーブルの先端に充電コネクタが設けられ、この充電コネクタが電気自動車の受電コネクタと接続される。

ところで、電気自動車が夜間に充電される場合、地面に這わされている充電ケーブルに人が躓いてしまう虞がある。なお、充電ケーブルに躓きにくくするために充電中の充電ボックスや電気自動車の周囲を照明器具で照明することが考えられるが、照明器具によって余分な電力が消費されてしまうので、省エネ化や節電の観点から好ましいことではない。
本発明は、上記課題に鑑みて為されたものであり、充電ケーブルの視認性向上を図ることを目的とする。
本発明の電気車両用充電装置は、電気車両に接続される充電コネクタと、先端に前記充電コネクタが接続される充電ケーブルとを備え、前記充電ケーブルは、表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられていることを特徴とする。
この電気車両用充電装置において、前記充電ケーブルを収納する収納部と、前記収納部に収納される前記充電ケーブルに光を照射する光源とをさらに備えることが好ましい。
この電気車両用充電装置において、前記収納部には前記充電ケーブルを出し入れするための開口窓が設けられ、前記開口窓を開閉自在に閉じる扉を備え、前記開口窓と前記扉との間には、前記扉が閉じた状態で前記光源の光を前記収納部の外に漏れさせる隙間が形成されていることが好ましい。
この電気車両用充電装置において、前記充電コネクタは、表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられていることが好ましい。
この電気車両用充電装置において、前記充電ケーブルを収納する収納部と、前記収納部に収納されていない状態の前記充電ケーブルに光を照射する光源とをさらに備えることが好ましい。
この電気車両用充電装置において、前記充電ケーブルの後端を保持する本体をさらに備え、前記本体は、表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられていることが好ましい。
発明の効果
本発明の電気車両用充電装置は、充電ケーブルの視認性向上を図ることができるという効果がある。
本発明の電気車両用充電装置は、電気車両に接続される充電コネクタと、先端に前記充電コネクタが接続される充電ケーブルとを備え、前記充電ケーブルは、表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられていることを特徴とする。

本発明の電気車両用充電装置は、充電ケーブルの視認性向上を図ることができるという効果がある。

以下、本発明の実施形態について添付図面に基づいて説明する。図面全体において同一又は類似する部分については同一参照符号を付して説明を省略する。
本実施形態の電気車両用充電装置(以下、「充電装置」と略す。)は、図1及び図2に示すように充電ケーブル1、充電コネクタ2、本体3などを備える。
本体3は、前面中央部に充電ケーブル1を出し入れするための矩形の開口窓30が開口した角筒状に形成されて地面に立設される。本体3の開口窓30は、扉31によって開閉自在に閉塞される。なお、扉31前面にはコ字状の取っ手31Aが取り付けられている。そして、本体3における開口窓30の奥の空間が充電ケーブル1を収納する収納部32となる。なお、本体3及び扉31は鋼板などの金属板を加工して形成される。
本体1内における収納部32よりも上の部分には、図示しない漏電ブレーカや充電コントローラなどが収納される。なお、充電コントローラは、充電ケーブル1に含まれる通信線を介して電気自動車100と通信し、電気自動車100からの指示に応じて充電ケーブル1を介した給電の入/切などを行うものである。
充電ケーブル1は、一対の電源線と接地線及び前記通信線を含む4心タイプの電気ケーブルからなり、図2(a)に示すように後端がコネクタ5を介して充電コントローラに接続され、前端が充電コネクタ2に接続されている。なお、充電コネクタ2は、電気自動車100の車体に設けられている差込口(充電インレット)に挿抜自在に差込接続される。
本体3の収納部32における後方の壁に、充電ケーブル1を保持するための保持部33が設けられている。保持部33は、図2(a)に示すように円柱形状の突起からなり、巻かれた状態の充電ケーブル1を引っ掛けて保持している。なお、扉31の下端部に切欠31Bが設けられており、扉31が閉じた状態においては切欠31Bを通して充電ケーブル1が収納部32の外に引き出される(図1参照)。
本実施形態の充電装置では、充電ケーブル1の表面に露出する部位(電気ケーブルのシース)の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられている。例えば、絶縁性及び透光性を有する絶縁材料(透明な合成樹脂など)に蓄光材料が混入されたもので充電ケーブル1の外皮(シース)が形成されている。あるいは、シースの表面に蓄光塗料が塗布された電気ケーブルで充電ケーブル1を構成してもよいし、蓄光材料を含む材料で形成された粘着テープがシースの表面に貼り付けられた電気ケーブルで充電ケーブル1を構成してもよい。
而して、上述のように充電ケーブル1の表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられているので、電気自動車100が夜間に充電される場合、地面に這わされている充電ケーブル1が蓄光材料の作用で発光することになる。つまり、表面が発光することで充電ケーブル1の視認性向上を図ることができ、その結果、人が充電ケーブル1に躓きにくくなって安全性の向上を図ることができる。しかも、蓄光材料で放射される光で充電ケーブル1の表面を発光させているので、充電ケーブル1の表面に電気的な光源(発光ダイオードなど)を取り付ける場合と異なり、余分な電力消費を抑えて省エネや節電を図ることができる。
ただし、収納部32内に収納された状態では、充電ケーブル1に日光や外灯の照明光などが照射されて蓄光材料に蓄光される機会が少ないと考えられる。そこで、図2(a)に示すように収納部32内に蛍光ランプ又は発光ダイオードを光源とする照明器具6を配設し、充電ケーブル1が収納部32に収納されている間に光源の光を照射して蓄光材料に蓄光させることが好ましい。この場合、開口窓30と扉31との間に隙間34を形成し、図2(b)に示すように扉31が閉じた状態で照明器具6の光が隙間34を通して収納部32の外に漏れるようにすれば、本体3の視認性が向上して人が本体3にぶつかるというような事態が生じ難くなる。
また、充電ケーブル1だけでなく、充電コネクタ2の表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料を用いることで充電コネクタ2を発光させてもよい。つまり、充電コネクタ2の表面を発光させることにより、夜間、電気自動車100の差込口に充電コネクタ2を差込接続する作業を行い易くできる。
ここで、電気車両100に接続される充電コネクタ2と、先端に充電コネクタ2が接続される充電ケーブル1と、充電ケーブル1の後端を保持する本体3とを備え、本体3が、表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられるようにしても構わない。例えば、本体3を構成する金属板の表面に蓄光材料を塗布するか、あるいは、蓄光材料を含む材料で形成された粘着テープを貼り付ければよい。而して、本体3の表面が蓄光材料から放射される光で発光することにより、本体3の視認性が向上して人が本体3にぶつかるというような事態が生じ難くなる。
また、図3に示すように、電気車両100に接続される充電コネクタ2と、先端に充電コネクタ2が接続される充電ケーブル1と、充電ケーブル1の後端を保持する本体3と、本体3に取り付けられる照明器具7とを備える構成としても構わない。この場合、充電ケーブル1は、その表面に露出する部位が蓄光性材料で形成されている必要は無い。例えば、図3に示すように本体3の天面に照明器具(スポットライト)7が取り付けられ、照明器具7の照明光を収納部32に収納されていない状態の充電ケーブル1や充電コネクタ2に照射することにより、充電ケーブル1や充電コネクタ2の視認性向上を図ることができる。なお、照明器具7は、天面以外の本体3の側面等に取り付けられてもよい。また、照明器具7は、光の照射方向が可変であることが好ましい。ただし、図3に示す構成において、充電ケーブル1の表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられ、収納部32に収納されていない状態の充電ケーブル1に照明器具7の光が照射されるようにしてもよい。
なお、本実施形態では、本体3が地面に立設される電気車両用充電装置、いわゆる充電スタンドを例示したが、例えば、本体3が壁に取り付けられる電気車両用充電装置、いわゆる充電ボックスであっても構わない。
ここで、上述のすべての実施形態は互いに組み合わせて行うことができる。
以上、本発明の好ましい実施形態が説明されているが、本発明はこれらの特定の実施形態に限られるものではなく、請求範囲の範疇から離脱しない多様な変更及び変形が可能であり、それも本発明の範疇内に属する。
本実施形態の電気車両用充電装置(以下、「充電装置」と略す。)は、図1及び図2に示すように充電ケーブル1、充電コネクタ2、本体3などを備える。
本体3は、前面中央部に充電ケーブル1を出し入れするための矩形の開口窓30が開口した角筒状に形成されて地面に立設される。本体3の開口窓30は、扉31によって開閉自在に閉塞される。なお、扉31前面にはコ字状の取っ手31Aが取り付けられている。そして、本体3における開口窓30の奥の空間が充電ケーブル1を収納する収納部32となる。なお、本体3及び扉31は鋼板などの金属板を加工して形成される。
本体1内における収納部32よりも上の部分には、図示しない漏電ブレーカや充電コントローラなどが収納される。なお、充電コントローラは、充電ケーブル1に含まれる通信線を介して電気自動車100と通信し、電気自動車100からの指示に応じて充電ケーブル1を介した給電の入/切などを行うものである。
充電ケーブル1は、一対の電源線と接地線及び前記通信線を含む4心タイプの電気ケーブルからなり、図2(a)に示すように後端がコネクタ5を介して充電コントローラに接続され、前端が充電コネクタ2に接続されている。なお、充電コネクタ2は、電気自動車100の車体に設けられている差込口(充電インレット)に挿抜自在に差込接続される。
本体3の収納部32における後方の壁に、充電ケーブル1を保持するための保持部33が設けられている。保持部33は、図2(a)に示すように円柱形状の突起からなり、巻かれた状態の充電ケーブル1を引っ掛けて保持している。なお、扉31の下端部に切欠31Bが設けられており、扉31が閉じた状態においては切欠31Bを通して充電ケーブル1が収納部32の外に引き出される(図1参照)。
本実施形態の充電装置では、充電ケーブル1の表面に露出する部位(電気ケーブルのシース)の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられている。例えば、絶縁性及び透光性を有する絶縁材料(透明な合成樹脂など)に蓄光材料が混入されたもので充電ケーブル1の外皮(シース)が形成されている。あるいは、シースの表面に蓄光塗料が塗布された電気ケーブルで充電ケーブル1を構成してもよいし、蓄光材料を含む材料で形成された粘着テープがシースの表面に貼り付けられた電気ケーブルで充電ケーブル1を構成してもよい。
而して、上述のように充電ケーブル1の表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられているので、電気自動車100が夜間に充電される場合、地面に這わされている充電ケーブル1が蓄光材料の作用で発光することになる。つまり、表面が発光することで充電ケーブル1の視認性向上を図ることができ、その結果、人が充電ケーブル1に躓きにくくなって安全性の向上を図ることができる。しかも、蓄光材料で放射される光で充電ケーブル1の表面を発光させているので、充電ケーブル1の表面に電気的な光源(発光ダイオードなど)を取り付ける場合と異なり、余分な電力消費を抑えて省エネや節電を図ることができる。
ただし、収納部32内に収納された状態では、充電ケーブル1に日光や外灯の照明光などが照射されて蓄光材料に蓄光される機会が少ないと考えられる。そこで、図2(a)に示すように収納部32内に蛍光ランプ又は発光ダイオードを光源とする照明器具6を配設し、充電ケーブル1が収納部32に収納されている間に光源の光を照射して蓄光材料に蓄光させることが好ましい。この場合、開口窓30と扉31との間に隙間34を形成し、図2(b)に示すように扉31が閉じた状態で照明器具6の光が隙間34を通して収納部32の外に漏れるようにすれば、本体3の視認性が向上して人が本体3にぶつかるというような事態が生じ難くなる。
また、充電ケーブル1だけでなく、充電コネクタ2の表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料を用いることで充電コネクタ2を発光させてもよい。つまり、充電コネクタ2の表面を発光させることにより、夜間、電気自動車100の差込口に充電コネクタ2を差込接続する作業を行い易くできる。
ここで、電気車両100に接続される充電コネクタ2と、先端に充電コネクタ2が接続される充電ケーブル1と、充電ケーブル1の後端を保持する本体3とを備え、本体3が、表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられるようにしても構わない。例えば、本体3を構成する金属板の表面に蓄光材料を塗布するか、あるいは、蓄光材料を含む材料で形成された粘着テープを貼り付ければよい。而して、本体3の表面が蓄光材料から放射される光で発光することにより、本体3の視認性が向上して人が本体3にぶつかるというような事態が生じ難くなる。
また、図3に示すように、電気車両100に接続される充電コネクタ2と、先端に充電コネクタ2が接続される充電ケーブル1と、充電ケーブル1の後端を保持する本体3と、本体3に取り付けられる照明器具7とを備える構成としても構わない。この場合、充電ケーブル1は、その表面に露出する部位が蓄光性材料で形成されている必要は無い。例えば、図3に示すように本体3の天面に照明器具(スポットライト)7が取り付けられ、照明器具7の照明光を収納部32に収納されていない状態の充電ケーブル1や充電コネクタ2に照射することにより、充電ケーブル1や充電コネクタ2の視認性向上を図ることができる。なお、照明器具7は、天面以外の本体3の側面等に取り付けられてもよい。また、照明器具7は、光の照射方向が可変であることが好ましい。ただし、図3に示す構成において、充電ケーブル1の表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられ、収納部32に収納されていない状態の充電ケーブル1に照明器具7の光が照射されるようにしてもよい。
なお、本実施形態では、本体3が地面に立設される電気車両用充電装置、いわゆる充電スタンドを例示したが、例えば、本体3が壁に取り付けられる電気車両用充電装置、いわゆる充電ボックスであっても構わない。
ここで、上述のすべての実施形態は互いに組み合わせて行うことができる。
以上、本発明の好ましい実施形態が説明されているが、本発明はこれらの特定の実施形態に限られるものではなく、請求範囲の範疇から離脱しない多様な変更及び変形が可能であり、それも本発明の範疇内に属する。
Claims (6)
- 電気車両に接続される充電コネクタと、
先端に前記充電コネクタが接続される充電ケーブルとを備え、
前記充電ケーブルは、表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられていることを特徴とする電気車両用充電装置。 - 前記充電ケーブルを収納する収納部と、
前記収納部に収納される前記充電ケーブルに光を照射する光源とをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気車両用充電装置。 - 前記収納部には前記充電ケーブルを出し入れするための開口窓が設けられ、前記開口窓を開閉自在に閉じる扉を備え、
前記開口窓と前記扉との間には、前記扉が閉じた状態で前記光源の光を前記収納部の外に漏れさせる隙間が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項2記載の電気車両用充電装置。 - 前記充電コネクタは、表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられていることを特徴とする請求項1~3の何れか1項に記載の電気車両用充電装置。
- 前記充電ケーブルを収納する収納部と、
前記収納部に収納されていない状態の前記充電ケーブルに光を照射する光源とをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気車両用充電装置。 - 前記充電ケーブルの後端を保持する本体をさらに備え、
前記本体は、表面に露出する部位の少なくとも一部を形成する材料に蓄光性を有する材料が用いられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電気車両用充電装置。
