Abstract

The invention relates to a method for reducing CO2 emissions from combustion processes in fossil fuel plants. Combustion of the fossil fuel proceeds substoichiometrically while essentially producing carbon monoxide. Hydrogen which is produced independently of the combustion process is added and the carbon monoxide reacts to hydrocarbon-containing fuels.
