Abstract

본 발명은 사용자의 배터리 사용 패턴을 고려하여 배터리의 사용 가능한 시간을 비교적 정확하게 예측할 수 있는 장치 및 방법을 개시한다. 본 발명에 따른 배터리 가용시간 추정 장치는, 배터리의 출력 전류를 측정하는 전류 측정부; 상기 배터리의 SOC를 추정하는 SOC 추정부; 및 상기 전류 측정부에 의한 전류 측정값, 상기 SOC 추정부에 의한 SOC 추정값 및 상기 배터리의 전체 용량을 이용하여 상기 배터리의 가용시간을 추정하는 제어부를 포함한다.
