The technical result achieved when using the proposed invention consists in ensuring a high drying speed for images printed on paper over the entire range of fill densities with sublimation inks, a high level of colour contrast and image clarity, a high degree of uniformity of solid printing with mixed colours when printing images with fill levels of from 200% in a printing mode with from 360 * 720 dpi or more and a high level of clarity of the printed image on the paper, as a result of a low level of spreading (running) of a dot when an individual drop of ink falls onto the surface of the coating in the inkjet printing method. The heat transfer paper for inkjet printing using sublimation inks consists of a paper substrate and a barrier coating applied thereto, said barrier coating comprising a binder and a filler. The binder is selected from the group of substances consisting of starch, carboxymethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, gelatin or mixtures thereof, while the filler is selected from the group of substances consisting of kaolin, talc, finely dispersed starch, silica gels or mixtures thereof. The filler comprises a finely dispersed powder of diatomite and/or a highly dispersed powder of polymethyl methacrylate and additional substances selected from the group consisting of kaolin, talc, finely dispersed starch, silica gels or mixtures thereof.
Description
Inkjet Thermal Transfer Paper
SUBLIMATION INK
The invention relates to the pulp and paper industry, in particular, to the field of manufacture of special types of coated paper for digital printing, and can be used in the manufacture of thermal transfer paper for sublimation thermal transfer.
(RU 2335405, 10.10.2008). The prior art thermotransfer paper for printing by sublimation ink, consisting of a base and a barrier coating applied thereon containing a binder and a filler. As a binder, the coating contains substances selected from the group consisting of starch, carboxymethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, gelatin or mixtures thereof. As a filler, the coating contains substances selected from the group comprising kaolin, talc, finely divided starch, calcium sulfoaluminate, silica gel, or a mixture thereof (RU 2335405, 10.10.2008).
The disadvantages of this paper are:
а) Недостаточная четкость запечатанного изображения на бумаге в связи с большим растискиванием (расплыванием) точки при попадании одиночной капли чернил на поверхность покрытия, что особенно сказывается при печати изображений с большими заливками чернил; a) The lack of clarity of the sealed image on paper due to the large dot gain (blur) of the dot when a single drop of ink gets on the coating surface, which is especially true when printing images with large ink fills;
B) When printing images with fills from 200% or more in printing mode from 360 * 540 dpi and above, the specified paper is subject to great deformation during image printing and when ink dries, which requires an increase in the distance between the paper and the print head. This significantly reduces the clarity of the image.
The closest in technical essence and purpose analogue of the present invention is thermal transfer paper for inkjet printing, consisting of a base paper and a barrier coating deposited on it containing a binder - sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, gelatin or their mixtures, and a filler - kaolin or talc or mixtures thereof in the following ratio of components (in mass): binder - 100, filler - not more than 15. On this coating by ink-jet printing with special sublimation inks is applied I am an image, dried under certain conditions for some time and then, under the influence of heat (170 ° -210 ° C) and pressure, the image is transferred from paper to fabric (US 6902779, 06/07/2005).
The disadvantages of the above paper are:
а) Смешение цветов при печати изображений с заливками от 200% и более в режиме печати от 360 * 720 dpi и выше на границе раздела этих цветов в процессе нанесения печати, т.е. взаимопроникновение чернил (до 1-2 мм) в область с другим цветом, вызывающим снижение четкости печати. Этот недостаток особенно заметен на границе красного и зеленого цветов при печати ярких плашек; a) Mixing colors when printing images with fills of 200% or more in the print mode of 360 * 720 dpi or higher at the interface of these colors during printing, i.e. interpenetration of ink (up to 1-2 mm) in the area with a different color, causing a decrease in print sharpness. This drawback is especially noticeable at the border of red and green colors when printing bright dies;
Ь) Неравномерность запечатывания плашек смесевыми цветами при печати изображений с заливками от 200%, например зеленым цветом (смесь синего и желтого цветов) или красным цветом (смесь пурпурного и желтого цветов) в режиме печати от 360 * 720 dpi и выше; B) The unevenness of sealing dies with mixed colors when printing images with fills from 200%, for example, green (a mixture of blue and yellow) or red (a mixture of purple and yellow) in print mode from 360 * 720 dpi and above;
c) Сильная деформация бумаги во время печати изображений с заливками от 300% и более в режиме печати от 360 * 540 dpi и выше; c) Severe deformation of the paper when printing images with fills from 300% or more in the print mode from 360 * 540 dpi and above;
d) Медленное высыхание чернил, нанесенных на барьерное покрытие, что приводит, при высоких заливках, к отмару чернил на оборотную сторону бумаги при намотке ее в рулон. d) Slow drying of the ink deposited on the barrier coating, which leads, with high fillings, to a smear of ink on the back of the paper when it is wound on a roll.
These drawbacks of this paper do not allow to obtain high-quality prints of the image on fabric or other surfaces intended for sublimation transfer when printing bright raster images.
The problem to which the proposed invention is directed, is to create a thermal transfer paper for inkjet printing with sublimation ink, which would eliminate the above disadvantages.
The technical result achieved by the implementation of this invention is as follows:
а) Обеспечение высокой скорости высыхания запечатанных на бумаге изображений во всем диапазоне плотностей заливки сублимационными чернилами, что дает возможность печати на максимально возможной скорости современных высокоскоростных плоттеров;
b) Обеспечение высокой цветовой контрастности и четкости изображения, благодаря отсутствию взаимопроникновения чернил в область с другим цветом при печати соседних участков, окрашенных в разные цвета, при печати изображений с заливками 200% и более в режиме печати от 360 * 720 dpi и выше; a) Ensuring high drying speed of paper-sealed images in the entire range of densities of filling with sublimation ink, which makes it possible to print at the highest possible speed of modern high-speed plotters; b) Ensuring high color contrast and clarity of the image, due to the absence of ink interpenetration in the area with a different color when printing adjacent areas painted in different colors, when printing images with fills of 200% or more in printing mode from 360 * 720 dpi and above;
c) Обеспечение высокой равномерности запечатывания плашек смесевыми цветами при печати изображений с заливками от 200% в режиме печати от 360 * 720 dpi и выше; c) Ensuring high uniformity of sealing dies with mixed colors when printing images with fills from 200% in print mode from 360 * 720 dpi and above;
d) Обеспечение высокой четкости запечатанного изображения на бумаге, благодаря малому растискиванию (расплыванию) точки при попадании одиночной капли чернил на поверхность покрытия при струйном методе печати. d) Providing high definition of the sealed image on paper, due to the small dot spreading (blurring) of the dot when a single drop of ink gets onto the surface of the coating by inkjet printing.
ч.): The specified technical result is achieved by the fact that the thermal transfer paper consists of base paper and a barrier coating, the main technical characteristics of the base paper being: ash: 0.01-4%, puffiness within 1, 6-2.0 cm 3 / d, and the barrier coating contains a binder and a filler, the binder being taken from the group of substances including starch, carboxymethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, gelatin or mixtures thereof, and the filler contains finely divided diatomite powder and / or highly dispersed polymethyl methacrylate powder and additional substances taken from the group consisting of kaolin, talc, finely divided starch, silica gels, or mixtures thereof.
