Abstract

본 발명은 회전축 길이 방향에 대해 슬림 구조를 구현함과 동시에, 슬림 구조의 특성상 협소한 공간에서 스테이터에 대향하여 로터가 회전함에 따라 스테이터로부터 발생된 열을 방출하는 방열 구조를 구현함으로써, 슬림 구조로 형성되더라도 모터 내부에 발생된 열을 외부로 신속하게 방열하기 위한, 방열 구조를 구비한 슬림형 모터 및 직결식 구동 방식을 구비한 세탁기를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명의 슬림형 모터는, 코일이 권선된 스테이터 코어가 모터 내부에서 발생된 열을 외부로 방출하기 위해 중심부가 개방된 환형 스테이터 지지체에 환형으로 배치되는 스테이터; 원형 로터 지지체에 장착된 백요크에 다수의 영구자석이 배치되어 상기 스테이터에 대해 에어갭이 형성되는 로터; 및 상기 로터 지지체의 중심부에 결합되며, 상기 로터의 회전력에 의해 회전 구동되는 회전축;을 포함한다.
