Description

MÖBELTEIL BESTEHEND AUS EINEM PLATTENFÖRMIGEN BAUELEMENT  FURNITURE COMPOSED OF A PANELED BUILDING ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a furniture or furniture part in the form of a drawer or the like with at least one consisting of a composite material, plate-shaped component, which is connected to at least one other component of the furniture or the drawer or the like.
Furniture or furniture parts of the generic type are known per se.
So far, the connection between a consisting of a composite material, plate-shaped component and at least one further component of a piece of furniture or a drawer or the like by connecting means, which pass through the plate-shaped component in the region of holes or the like. It is also known to enclose the edge regions of the existing of a composite material, plate-shaped component in a frame and to use this frame for connection to other components of a piece of furniture or furniture.
The present invention has for its object to provide a piece of furniture or furniture of the generic type, in which the connection of an existing composite material plate-shaped component with at least one other component without lying in the field of view of the plate-shaped component connection means is possible.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the plate-shaped component as a composite plate consists of at least two plates with a flexible carrier material arranged therebetween, that the flexible carrier material projects beyond the composite plate at least at one point and that the composite plate projects beyond the projecting region of the flexible carrier. Germatetrials is connected to another component of the furniture or the drawer or the like.
In that regard, the invention is generally based on the idea that flexible carrier material of a composite plate as an essential component for the connection of the plate-shaped component with another building part of a piece of furniture or a piece of furniture. As a result, the field of view of existing, for example, glass plate-shaped component in the mounted or installed condition is not affected by visible connection means and there is the visual impression that the existing glass component is mounted completely free-standing. As a result, extremely advantageous design options are created with respect to the visual impression of a corresponding piece of furniture or furniture part.
The individual plates of the composite panel can be made of glass, as well as other materials, such as metal, wood, plastic, stone, etc. The materials must have a strength so that forces can be introduced.
The flexible carrier material may be made of a fabric, for example, also made of a film. The materials of the flexible carrier material must have a high tensile strength at a small thickness. Furthermore, they may preferably have only a low extensibility in order not to destroy the composite material, if the at least one projecting region is positively, positively or materially connected to another component.
According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the projecting region of the flexible carrier material is connected by clamping means with the existing example of wood, metal or plastic component. As a result, a particularly simple connection option is realized, which is particularly useful when the component to which the plate-shaped component is to be determined, a side frame of a drawer, which in turn consists of metal. A further advantageous development of the subject invention is that the projecting portion of the substrate is connected by fasteners such as screws, rivets, nails or the like with the existing example of wood, metal or plastic component. This is when the substrate is designed as a film, a correspondingly stable and largely tear-resistant film ahead, but nevertheless creates a simple feasible determination of the laminated glass, when the panels of the composite panel are made of glass, on another component of a piece of furniture or furniture. It can also be of great advantage if the projecting region of the carrier material is bonded by gluing to the component consisting, for example, of wood, metal or plastic.
In all these cases, the visible surface of the existing example of glass, plate-shaped component is not affected by the connecting means.
The fastening of the at least one projecting region of the flexible carrier material to a further component of a piece of furniture can take place by force, shape or material connection. As attachment methods, here e.g. Welding, for example, ultrasonic welding or gluing are used. Furthermore, clamping and / or clamping devices can be used to set the composite panel to another furniture part.

Before discussing FIGS. 1 to 15 in detail, it should be pointed out that the exemplary embodiments of the invention show exclusively furniture parts in the form of a drawer or the like, the respective furniture parts having a plate-shaped component consisting of glass, which is connected to at least one other component of the drawer made of wood, metal or plastic. It goes without saying that the connection to be described of the glass-made, plate-shaped component is possible not only in a drawer, but also in other areas of a piece of furniture. An essential basic idea of the present invention can be seen in the fact that the plate-shaped component made of glass is constructed in the form of a laminated glass pane 1. Here, the laminated glass pane 1, as shown clearly in FIG. 1, has two glass panes 2 and 3 as well as an intermediate film 4, which form a solid unit after joining the overall composite. The structure and method of production of laminated glass panes are well known, so that it can be omitted at this point to explain in detail how the laminated glass pane 1 is produced. For the purposes of the invention, it is of essential importance that the film 4 lying between the two glass panes 2 and 3 has at least one region 5 which projects beyond at least one outer edge 6 of the laminated glass pane 1, as clearly shown in FIGS , This region 5 of the film 4, which projects beyond an outer edge 6 of the laminated glass pane 1, is used according to the invention for connecting the laminated glass pane 1 to another component of a piece of furniture or a drawer.
In the embodiment of the invention according to Figures 2-5, the addressed other component of the drawer is a side frame 7, which is preferably made of metal. This side frame 7 has on its outer edge 6 facing the laminated glass pane 1 a
Clamping slot 8, through which the over the outer edge 6 of the laminated glass pane 1 also protruding portion 5 of the film 4 is inserted into the frame and clamped after contact of the outer edge 6 at the top of the frame 7, so that the laminated glass pane 1 fixed to the frame 7 is.
Figures 6 and 7 show an embodiment of the invention in which within the side frame 7, a plurality of light sources 9 are provided which are opposite to the free end of the clamped in the frame 7 area 5 of the film 4. If the film 4 consists of corresponding material, light can be fed into the film 4 via these light sources 9 and thus the laminated glass pane 1 can be used as the light source. As can be seen from FIG. 8, the film 4 can also be provided on the end faces 10 of the laminated glass pane 1 with regions 5 which project beyond these end edges 10. These areas 5 can then be used, for example, to be inserted into receiving slots 1 1 of clamping elements 12 and clamped in these receiving slots 11. The clamping elements 12 in turn can be connected in any way with other components of a drawer or a piece of furniture.
Figures 9-11 show an embodiment of the invention in which the laminated glass pane 1, for example, forms the front panel of a drawer. In this case, the laminated glass pane 1 is equipped with adapters 13 which are fixed to the laminated glass pane 1 in a manner to be described and serve to project into a side frame 7 and via corresponding counterparts provided inside the side frame 7 a connection between the laminated glass pane 1 and the side frames 7 produce. In addition, at the lower outer edge of the Verbundgtasscheibe 1 again beyond this outer edge projecting portion 5 of the film 4 is provided, which lies below the bottom 14 of the drawer and is fixed for example by screws 16 on the bottom 14. Such a fastening of the region 5 of the film 4 naturally requires a highly tear-resistant film 4. As an alternative to the illustrated screws 16, fastening in the direction of FIG. 11 can also be effected, for example, by fastening means such as rivets, nails or the like. FIGS. 12-15 show how the already mentioned adapters 13 are fixed to the laminated glass pane 1. In particular, FIGS. 12-14 show that a glass pane 2 of the laminated glass pane 1 is interrupted by slots 15, through which sections 5 of the film 4 project beyond the surface of the glass pane 2. These can now in turn inserted into clamping slots 17 of the adapter 13 and the adapter 13 are clamped against the sections 5, as has already been mentioned in principle in the embodiment of Figure 8. Thus, the adapters 13 are defined above the surface of the laminated glass pane 2 protruding on this. The adapters 13 can now be equipped with conventional and known in furniture construction connecting means which can intervene in also known and customary in furniture antidote within the frames 7. An additional definition of the laminated glass pane 1 is then carried out in the manner already mentioned by the definition of a region 5 of the film 4 below the bottom 14 of the drawer. The clamping element 12 and the adapter 13 form a fastening device 18 for fixing the laminated glass panes 1 on the drawer. As an alternative to the mentioned verse robbery of this area 5 below the bottom 14 can also be considered here a bond. The various illustrated and described connection possibilities of a laminated glass pane 1 with other components of a piece of furniture or a furniture part such as a drawer, so to speak an "invisible" compound of the laminated glass pane 1 is achieved, at least no fastening means in the visible surface of the composite glass pane 1 are present.
On the basis of the possibility of using the film 4 of the laminated glass pane 1 also as means for illuminating the laminated glass pane 1, it has already been indicated that the film 4 is not only used by its projecting areas 5 for the definition of the laminated glass pane 1 but also for further effects can be.
Should e.g. the laminated glass pane 1 as a whole must be transparent, it is necessary to use a film which has the same or almost the same refractive index as the glass panes 2 and 3.
The film 4 may also be provided with a printing or otherwise produced markings, for example, to reproduce a company logo or the like.
The film 4 may also be manufacturer-specific equipped with certain colorations.
Thus, the invention has the double advantage of a particularly elegant under optical aesthetic aspects connection possibilities of laminated glass 1 with other components of a piece of furniture or furniture and extensive influence on the design of a piece of furniture or furniture by using different films or films with different specific properties.
