- a CPU Central Processing Unit
- the position data processing unit 14 is realized by a CPU (not shown) reading and executing a program stored in the memory 12. The position data processing unit 14 determines whether or not the position data sequentially recorded in the memory 12 by the positioning unit 11 indicates the position of a recording target place (a place meaningful to the user). If the location is a location to be recorded, the location data processing unit 14 records the location data in the location information storage area 122 of the memory 12 (location information generation processing). - the positioning unit 11 performs the flowchart of FIG. 3 every predetermined time (for example, every second). The positioning process shown in
- the positioning unit 11 When the positioning unit 11 starts the positioning process, the positioning unit 11 performs position measurement using a GPS receiving circuit, and acquires position data indicating the position of the positioning device 10 (step S11). Subsequently, the positioning unit 11 acquires the current date and time from the timer unit 16 (step S12), and records the current date and time in the position data storage area 121 in the memory 12 in association with the measured current position (step S13). At this time, if the position data storage area 121 is not empty, the positioning unit 11 deletes (overwrites) the oldest record and records the position data and the current time.
- pairs of position data indicating the current position of the positioning device 10 and the current time are sequentially stored.
- the position data processing unit 14 executes the location information generation process shown in the flowchart of FIG.
- the position data processing unit 14 determines whether or not the positioning device 10 stays in the region having the radius R1 for the time T1 or more (step S1). Specifically, the position data processing unit 14 uses the most recently stored position data and the date / time data associated therewith among the data sequentially stored in the position data storage area 121 of the memory 12. refer. The position data processing unit 14 determines whether or not the points indicated by all the position data acquired in the period from the current time to the time T1 before are located within the region of the radius R1 centered on the current position.
- the position data processing unit 14 determines that the positioning device 10 main body is the area of the radius R1. It is determined that it has stayed for a time T1 or longer (step S1: YES). At this time, the current position is determined as the position of the recording target location. In this case, the position data processing unit 14 records the positioning data most recently stored in the position data storage area 121 as the location information in the location information storage area 122 of the memory 12 (step S8).
- step S1 When it is determined in step S1 that the positioning device 10 has not stayed in the region of the radius R1 for the time T1 or longer (step S1: NO), the processing unit 14 has the positioning device 10 main body with the radius R2 (for example, R2>). It is determined whether or not the gas stays in the region R1) for a time T2 (for example, T2> T1) or longer (step S2).
- a specific determination method is the same as in step S1. Specifically, among the data sequentially stored in the position data storage area 121 of the memory 12, the position data of the current position stored most recently and the date / time data associated therewith are referred to.
- the measurement result processing unit 14 determines whether or not the points indicated by all the position data acquired in the period from the current time to the time T2 before are located within the area of the radius R2 centered on the current position. Then, when the positioning device 10 stays in the area having the radius R2 for the time T2 or more (step S2: YES), the position data processing unit 14 determines the position as the position of the recording target place. At this time, the position data processing unit 14 records the positioning data most recently stored in the position data storage area 121 as the location information in the location information storage area 122 of the memory 12 (step S8).
- step S2 determines that the positioning device 10 body has the radius R3 (for example, It is determined whether or not the vehicle stays in the region of R3> R2) for a time T3 (for example, T3> T2) or longer (step S3).
- a specific determination method is the same as that in steps S1 and S2. If the position data processing unit 14 determines that the positioning device 10 main body stays in the region of radius R3 for the time T3 or more (step S3: YES), the position data processing unit 14 determines the position as the position of the recording target location. At this time, the position data processing unit 14 records the most recently stored positioning data as location information in the location information storage area 122 of the memory 12 (step S8).
- step S3 If it is determined in step S3 that the positioning device 10 main body has not stayed in the region of radius R3 for the time T3 or longer (step S3: NO), the position data processing unit 14 uses the camera function of the positioning device 10 main body. It is determined whether or not it has been performed (step S4). Specifically, the position data processing unit 14 determines whether the camera unit in the functional unit group 13 is in an operating state, and considers that the camera function is used when the camera unit is in the operating state. When it is determined that the camera function is used (step S4: YES), the position data processing unit 14 determines the position as the position of the recording target place. At this time, the position data processing unit 14 records the most recently stored positioning data as location information in the location information storage area 122 of the memory 12 (step S8).
- step S4 If it is determined in step S4 that the camera function of the positioning device 10 main body is not used (step S4: NO), the position data processing unit 14 uses the electronic settlement function of the positioning device 10 main body. It is determined whether or not it has been performed (step S5). Specifically, the position data processing unit 14 determines whether the electronic settlement unit in the functional unit group 13 is activated. When the electronic payment unit is activated, the immediate result processing unit 14 considers that the electronic payment function is used. When it is determined that the electronic payment function is used (step S5: YES), the position data processing unit 14 determines the position as the position of the recording target place. At this time, the position data processing unit 14 records the most recently stored positioning data as location information in the location information storage area 122 of the memory 12 (step S8).
- step S5 If it is determined in step S5 that the electronic payment function of the positioning device 10 main body is not used (step S5: NO), the position data processing unit 14 uses an external device such as a digital camera. It is determined whether or not (step S6). Specifically, the position data processing unit 14 inquires of the communication unit 15 whether or not an external device such as a digital camera is connected to the positioning device 10 main body. When the external device is connected in the ON state as a result of the inquiry, the position data processing unit 14 considers that the external device has been used. When it is determined that the digital camera is used (step S6: YES), the position data processing unit 14 determines the position as the position of the recording target place. At this time, the position data processing unit 14 records the most recently stored positioning data as location information in the location information storage area 122 of the memory 12 (step S8).
- step S8 the position data processing unit 14 determines the position as the position of the recording target place.
- step S6 when it is determined in step S6 that the external device is not used (step S6: NO), or when the recording of the location information in step S8 is completed, the position data processing unit 14 in the positioning unit 11 It is determined whether the positioning process has been completed (step S7). When the positioning process is finished (step S7: YES), the location information generation process is finished. If the positioning process has not been completed (step S7: NO), the flow returns to step S1, and the above-described positioning process is continued.
- the positioning device 10 of the present embodiment when the user stays within a certain range for a certain period of time, the place is determined as a place where the user uses a store or a facility, and the position is automatically set. Recorded. According to the positioning device 10, it is possible to easily and efficiently generate the location information to be recorded by using the recording of the position data acquired sequentially. In addition, even when a function in the positioning device 10 or an external device is used, or when a predetermined service is used, location information that is meaningful to the user is automatically recorded by recording the position data at that time. Is efficiently generated. Further, since position data meaningful for the user is extracted and recorded and held, the positioning device 10 does not need to record and hold all of the huge position data. For this reason, the positioning device 10 can reduce the amount of memory used. Further, according to the positioning device 10, it is not necessary to analyze all the position data when developing a function or application that utilizes the position data, and therefore, the development becomes easy.
- the determination condition for recording the location information described above is an example, and can be arbitrarily changed.
- the determination condition when a call function, a browser function, or the like in the function unit group 13 is used, or when a mobile phone, a car navigation device, a personal computer, or the like is used as an external device via the communication unit 15

- a configuration for discriminating an important place is also possible.
- three sets of the area width threshold R and the stay time threshold T are used to determine whether or not the user stays in areas having three different widths (FIG. 4 :). Steps S1 to S3).
- the area to be determined is not limited to this. It is also possible to employ a configuration in which the presence or absence of a user staying is determined for each region having a larger number of different areas using a larger number of threshold sets.
- step S1 In order to determine stay in a narrow area in the first stay determination process (step S1), R1 is set to several meters and T1 is set to the order of several seconds. Then, in order to determine stay in a wider area in the next stay determination process (step S2), R2 is set to several hundred meters and T2 is set to an order of several minutes. Then, in order to determine stay in a wider area in the last stay determination process (step S3), R3 is set to several kilometers and T3 is set to an order of several hours.
- the position data is stored alone in the location information storage area 122 as location information.
- the measurement result may be stored as location information together with the date and time data stored in the location data storage area 121 in association with the location data.
- FIG. 5A is an example of the location information stored in this way.
- the information recorded with the position data is not limited to the date and time.
- the location information In the case where the location information is recorded because it is determined that it has stayed in a certain area, it is possible to record the location information with information indicating the size of the staying area. Specifically, it is determined to be “narrow” for the recorded location information determined as YES in step S1, “normal” for the recorded location information determined as YES in step S2, and determined as YES in step S3.
- a message indicating the size of the stay area such as “wide” is attached to the position data.
- An example of the location information generated in this way is shown in FIG. This location information is stored in the location information storage area 122. By adopting such a configuration, it is possible to use the location information more effectively later because it is recorded at the location of the location to be recorded and how large the area is staying. it can.
- the place where the user stayed may be specified and stored according to the size of the stayed area.
- the “wide” area name or the place name related to the place is detected by collating with the map data, and stored in the map data in association with the user position.
- the name of a place / facility corresponding to a certain place includes the name of a town, the name of an intersection, the name of a place such as a river or beach, the name of a store, etc., each having a different corresponding size.
- the names of various places and facilities are stored in association with the target area.
- the place name includes the name of a street, the name of a coast, mountain, lake, etc., the name of a famous place, historic site, etc., the nearest station, town, ward, city, group, prefecture, state, province, country, etc.
- the street name is the narrowest target area and the country is the widest.
- the facility name includes restaurants, transportation stations, theme parks, shopping malls, amusement parks, and leisure facilities such as parks. Among them, restaurants have the smallest target area, and parks and theme parks are wider than restaurants.
- the usage history information is information representing a history of using a predetermined function, external device, service, or the like.
- the usage history information is represented by, for example, the name of a predetermined function, external device, or service.
- the usage history information is recorded in the location information when the location information is recorded because a predetermined function, an external device, a service, or the like is used (determined as YES in steps S4, S5, and S6).
- FIG. 5C is an example of the location information stored in this way. If such a configuration is adopted, not only the location of an important place for the user but also what device, service or function is used at that location is recorded, so that location information can be used more effectively later. be able to.
- the positioning device 10 may be configured to evoke the user's memory by displaying the location information thus stored on a display device (not shown) to the user as necessary. good.
- the location information generated by the positioning device 10 can be used in various applications, services, and devices that use the position information.
