Abstract

본 발명에 따르면, LED를 이용한 등기구용 방열장치가 개시된다. 개시된 LED를 이용한 등기구용 방열장치는, LED 모듈을 포함한 등기구로부터 발생하는 열을 방출시키기 위한 것으로서, LED 모듈의 후방에 설치되어 LED 모듈로부터 발생한 열을 전달 받는 히트싱크; 그 냉각부가 히트싱크의 후방에 설치되어 펠티어 효과에 의해 히트싱크를 냉각시키는 열전소자; 및 LED 모듈 및 열전소자에 동시 연결되어 전원공급을 제어하는 전원 드라이버를 구비한다. 이와 같은 LED를 이용한 등기구용 방열장치에 의하면, LED 모듈 및 열전소자와 전원 드라이버의 전기적 연결을 직렬 또는 병렬 방식으로 일체화함으로써, 구조가 단순해짐에 따라 제품의 원가를 줄일 수 있으며, LED 모듈의 전력 소모로 인해 발생하는 열과 비례하여 자동으로 열전소자의 냉각효율이 제어됨으로 별도의 전력제어를 하지 않고도 딱 필요한 만큼의 열방출 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 또한 열전소자와 LED 모듈 사이에 히트싱크를 부착함으로써, 열전소자의 동작 불능상황이나 열폭주에 따른 이상 동작 발생시에 LED 모듈을 보호함과 동시에, 과다 냉각으로 인한 성에나 수분응결로 인한 LED 모듈의 파손을 방지할 수 있다.
