Abstract
Description
この点、特開平11-268783号公報は、第1のシートと第2のシートが積層された本体部分と、第2のシートのみが延長された延長部分により構成される蓋を備える包装体を開示している。
本発明は、このような点に鑑みて創案されたものであり、包装体の加工性を向上させることができる技術を提供することを目的とする。
包装体の蓋は、包装体の本体の開口を覆う開閉部と、開閉部から延びる基部を有している。蓋の開閉部は、本体の開口の面積より大きい面積を有している。蓋は、第1のシートと、第1のシートより大きい第2のシートを積層することによって形成される。蓋の開閉部は、第1のシートと第2のシートとの積層部分によって構成され、蓋の基部は、第1のシートから延びている第2のシートの部分によって構成される。第2のシートの曲げ剛性を、第1のシートの曲剛性より小さく設定するのが好ましい。蓋は、一つの面に塗布された接着剤によって、本体の表面に接着される。接着剤が塗布される一つの面は、開閉部を構成する第1のシートの、第2のシートと反対側の面と、基部を構成する第2のシートの、第1のシート側の面によって形成される。この時、基部は、開口が形成されていない箇所に接着され、開閉部が、開口を覆う箇所に接着されるのが好ましい。また、典型的には、第2のシートの一つの面に塗布された第2の接着剤によって、第1のシートと第2のシートが接着されるとともに、第2のシートが包装体の本体の表面に接着され、第1のシートの、第2のシートと反対側の面(第1のシートの一つの面)に塗布された第1の接着剤によって、第1のシートが包装体の本体の表面に接着される。この場合、第2の接着剤としては、第1の接着剤の接着力より大きい接着力を有する接着剤を用いるのが好ましい。
蓋の開閉部が、第1のシートと第2のシートとの積層部分によって構成され、蓋の基部が、開閉部を構成する第2のシートの、第1のシートから延びる部分によって構成されている場合、基部の、開閉部と反対側の端部の剛性が小さくなる。特に、基部の端部が尖った形状(例えば、直角形状)に形成されていると、より剛性が小さくなる。このため、包装体の製造時に基部の端部に加わる力によって、当該端部に撓みや折れ曲がりが発生する虞がある。基部の端部に撓みや折れ曲がりが発生している状態で蓋を本体の表面に接着すると、蓋の第2のシートに皺が発生する。
本発明では、蓋の第2のシートに皺が発生するのを防止するために、蓋の基部の、開閉部と反対側の端部が、R形状に形成されている。基部の端部をR形状に形成することによって、当該端部の剛性が大きくなるため、当該基部に加わる力によって当該基部に撓みや折れ曲がりが発生するのが防止される。この基部の端部のR形状の半径は、蓋の第2のシートに皺が発生するのを防止することができるように、基部の長さや幅、開閉部を構成する第1のシートの厚さ等に基づいて適切な値に設定される。好適には、基部の端部のR形状の半径は、1.5mm以上に設定される。なお、基部の端部のR形状の半径の最大値は、基部の長さや基部の強度等に基づいて決定される。
本発明では、包装体の蓋は、開閉部と基部との境界部で厚さが変化する。このため、蓋の開閉部が、本体の表面から剥がされて、基部側に折り返される時に、開閉部と基部との境界部がヒンジ部として機能する。したがって、蓋の開閉部を基部側に折り返す際に、蓋の基部も一緒に剥がれるのが防止される。また、蓋の開閉部を基部側に折り返した場合、開閉部の自重によって、開閉部は、基部側に倒れた状態を維持する。これにより、蓋の開閉部の操作および物品の取り出しを片手で行うことができる。また、蓋の基部の、開閉部と反対側の端部がR形状に形成されているため、当該端部の剛性が大きくなる。これにより、当該端部に加わる力によって、当該端部に撓みや折れ曲がりが発生するのが防止される。したがって、蓋の第2のシート(基部)に皺が発生するのが防止され、包装体の加工性が向上する。
本発明では、前記一つの発明と同様に、蓋の開閉部と基部との境界部がヒンジとして機能するため、蓋の開閉部を基部側に折り返す際に、包装体の基部も剥がれるのを防止することができる。また、開閉部が基部側に倒れた状態に維持されるため、蓋の開閉部の操作および物品の取り出しを片手で行うことができる。また、蓋の基部の、開閉部と反対側の端部が面取り加工されているため、当該端部の剛性が大きくなる。これにより、当該端部に加わる力によって、当該端部に撓みや折れ曲がりが発生するのが防止される。したがって、蓋の第2のシートに皺が発生するのが防止され、包装体の加工性が向上する。
ウェットティッシュ130は、繊維材料をシート状に形成した基材(例えば、不織布、ガーゼ、コットンシート、ティッシュペーパー)に液体(例えば、アルコール、消毒液、化粧水)等を含浸させたものを意味する。ウェットティッシュ130が本発明の「物品」に対応する。
包装体100は、本体110と蓋120により構成されている。本体110が本発明の「包装体の本体」に対応し、蓋120が本発明の「包装体の蓋」に対応する。
ウェットティッシュ130は、開口112から順次取り出すことができるように、ウェットティッシュ収容空間110H内に収容される。好ましくは、開口112からウェットティッシュ130を取り出した時、次に取り出されるウェットティッシュ130の一部が開口112から飛び出した状態となるように収容される。例えば、折り返したウェットティッシュ130を、折り返し方向が交互に逆になるように積層する。この時、ウェットティッシュ130の下方側(積層体の下方側)の端部が、次に取り出されるウェットティッシュ130の上方側(積層体の上方側)の端部の下方に配置されるように積層する。
包装体100の本体110を形成する熱融着フィルムとしては、加熱することによって融着可能な種々のフィルムを用いることができる。なお、本実施の形態では、ウェットティッシュ130を収容するため、熱融着フィルムとしては、ウェットティッシュ130の湿潤状態を保持可能(乾燥を防止可能)なフィルムを用いるのが好ましい。例えば、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)樹脂により形成された保護層、アルミニウムにより形成された湿潤保持層(乾燥防止層)、二軸延伸ポリプロピレン樹脂により形成された熱融着層(ヒートシール層)が積層された積層フィルム(ラミネートフィルム)が用いられる。このような熱融着フィルムを用いて本体110を形成する場合には、縦シール部および横シール部において、熱融着層(二軸延伸ポリプロプレン樹脂層)が対向するように、熱融着フィルムを重ねる。これにより、縦シール部および横シール部が加熱されると、対向する熱融着層(二軸延伸ポリプロピレン樹脂層)が溶融して接合される。なお、保護層は省略することができる。また、湿潤保持層(乾燥防止層)は、ウェットティッシュ収容空間110Hに収容されているウェットティッシュ130の湿潤状態を維持する(乾燥を防止する)ことができればよく、アルミニウム層に限定されない。また、熱融着層は、加熱されることによって融着されればよく、二軸延伸ポリプロピレン樹脂層に限定されない。
開口112(開口縁112a)は、ウェットティッシュ130をウェットティッシュ収容空間110Hから取り出すことができる種々の形状に形成することができる。例えば、長軸と短軸を有する楕円形状、円形形状、四角形状に形成することができる。本実施の形態では、本体110には、楕円形状を有する開口112(開口縁112a)が形成されている。なお、開口112の楕円形状は、長軸が、本体110の長手方向(図2および図4では、縦シール部の方向と同じ左右方向)を向き、短軸が、本体110の長手方向に直交する方向(横シール部の方向と同じ方向)を向くように形成されている。
なお、予め開口112が形成された熱融着フィルムを用いて本体110を形成する方法を用いることもできる。
本実施の形態では、片手で包装体100からウェットティッシュ130を取り出すことができるようにするために、図2および図4に示されているように、包装体100の蓋120は、第1のシート121と第2のシート122を積層して構成されている。第1のシート121は、開閉部120Bに対応する形状を有している。また、第2のシート122は、第1のシート121より大きく形成されており、基部120A、開閉部120Bおよび摘み部120Cに対応する形状を有している。
第1のシート121は、例えば、ポリプロピレン(PP)樹脂やポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)樹脂を使用したシート又は合成紙によって形成される。第1のシート121は、50μm~100μmの厚さ、好適には、70μmの厚さに形成される。第2のシート122は、例えば、ポリプロピレン(PP)樹脂、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)樹脂等を使用したシートによって形成される。第2のシート122は、10μm~20μmの厚さ、好適には、20μmの厚さに形成される。すなわち、第2のシート122の厚さは、第1のシートの厚さより小さく設定されている。これにより、第2のシート122の曲げ剛性が、第1のシート121の曲げ剛性より小さい。なお、第2のシート122の曲げ剛性を第1のシート121の曲げ剛性より小さくする方法としては、厚さを変える方法に限定されず、材料を変える方法を用いることもできる。
第2の接着剤124によって、第1のシート121と第2のシート122が接着される。すなわち、第1のシート121と第2のシート122が積層される。この時、第1のシートの他の面は、第2のシート122の一つの面の、開閉部120Bに対応する箇所に接着される。これにより、蓋120の開閉部120Bは、第1のシート121と第2のシート122との積層部分によって構成され、基部120Aは、第1のシート121から一方側に延びている第2のシート122の部分によって構成され、摘み部120Cは、第1のシート121から他方側に延びている第2のシート122の部分によって構成される。120Dは、開閉部120Bと基部120Aの境界部であり、蓋120の厚さは、この境界部120Dの箇所で変化する。そして、蓋120は、開閉部120Bを構成する第1のシート121の一つの面に塗布されている第1の接着剤123と、基部120Aを構成する第2のシート122の一つの面(第1のシート121と同じ側の面)に塗布されている第2の接着剤124によって、本体110の上壁110aの表面に接着される。
通常状態では、ウェットティッシュ130n乾燥を防止するために、開閉部120Bは本体110の上壁110aの表面に接着されている。一方、ウェットティッシュ130を取り出す際には、開閉部120Bを本体110の上壁110aの表面から剥がし、開口112を開ける。このため、第2の接着剤124としては、開閉部120Bを、繰り返し剥離可能に本体110の上壁110aの表面に接着する接着剤が用いられる。
ここで、第2の接着剤124の接着力が第1の接着剤123の接着力と同じ場合には、開閉部120Bを、本体110の上壁110aの表面から剥がし、基部120A側に折り返す時に、基部120Aも本体110の上壁110aの表面から剥がれる虞がある。このため、本実施の形態では、第2の接着剤124として、第1の接着剤123の接着力より大きい接着力を有する接着剤を用いている。
ユーザが、ウェットティッシュ130を開口112から取り出す時には、蓋120の摘み部(先端部)120cを指で掴んで引っ張る。例えば、摘み部120Cを、上壁110aの表面の上方および基部110Aの方向に引っ張る。これにより、第1の接着剤121によって上壁110aの表面に接着されている開閉部120Bは、摘み部120C側の箇所から順に、上壁110aの表面から剥がれるとともに、基部120A側に折り返される。開閉部120Bを最初に剥がす時には、開口縁112aに沿って形成されている切込み線によって囲まれた開口形成部110aが、第1の接着剤123によって第1のシート121に接着された状態で剥がれる。これにより、本体110の上壁110aに開口112が形成される。
本実施の形態では、蓋120の基部120Aを本体120に接着する第2の接着部材124の接着力が、蓋120の開閉部120Bを本体110に接着する第1の接着剤123の接着力より大きく設定されている。これにより、開閉部120Bが、開閉部120Bと基部120Aとの境界部120Dまで剥がれると、ユーザは、指に加わる反力の増加によって、開閉部120Bが境界部120Dの箇所まで剥がされたことを認識することができる。
また、本実施の形態では、蓋120の開閉部120Bは、第1のシート121と第2のシート122との積層部分によって構成され、蓋120の基部120Aは、第1のシートから延びている第2のシートの部分によって構成されている。すなわち、開閉部120Bと基部120Aとの境界部120Dで厚さが変化している。これにより、開閉部120Bが境界部120Dまで剥がれると、境界部120Dがヒンジとして機能し、開閉部120Bを剥がす力が、境界部120Dを中心とする開閉部120Bの回転力として吸収される。
また、本実施の形態では、第2のシート122の曲げ剛性は、第1のシート121の曲げ剛性より小さく設定されている。これにより、図4に示されているように、開閉部120Bを境界部120Dの箇所まで剥がすと、開閉部120Bは、自重によって、基部120A側に倒れた状態を維持する。この状態で、ユーザが摘み部120Cから指を離しても、開閉部120Bが開口112側に倒れるのが防止される。したがって、ユーザは、片手で開閉部120Bの操作およびウェットティッシュ130の取り出し操作を行うことができる。
ウェットティッシュ130を使用しない時には、ウェットティッシュ130の乾燥を防止するために、ユーザは、摘み部120Cを開口112側に戻し、第1の接着剤123によって開閉部120Bを本体110の上壁110aの表面に接着する。
また、前述したように、本実施の形態の包装体100では、蓋120の基部120Aを構成する第2のシート122の曲げ剛性は、開閉部120Bを構成する第1のシート121の曲げ剛性より小さく設定されている。このため、基部120Aの剛性が小さい。特に、基部120Aの、開閉部120Bと反対側の端部(境界部120Dから延びる縁部と、開閉部120Bと反対側の縁部が交差する箇所)の剛性が小さくなる。
ここで、基部520Aの、開閉部520Bと反対側の端部522aが尖った形状(例えば、直角形状)に形成されている蓋520を図5に示す。図5に示されている蓋520は、開閉部520Bが、第1のシート521と第2のシート522との積層部分によって構成され、基部520Aが、第1のシート521から一方側に延びている第2のシート522の部分によって構成され、摘み部520Cが、第1のシート521から他方側(基部520Aと反対側)に延びている第2のシート522の部分によって構成されている。基部520Aの、開閉部520Bと反対側の端部522aが尖った形状に形成されている場合、この端部522aの剛性が特に小さくなる。したがって、図5に示されている蓋520は、第1のシート521が下方、第2のシート522が上方に配置されている状態において、白矢印で示されているように、端部522aが第1のシート521側に撓む虞がある。
また、包装体20製造時に、蓋520が、第1のシート521が下方、第2のシート522が上方に配置されている状態で蓋520に、図6に白矢印で示される方向に力Fが加わることがある。端部522aが尖った形状に形成されている場合、この力Fはそのまま加わる。このため、黒矢印で示されるように、端部522aが折れ曲がる虞がある。
以上のように、基部520Aの端部522aが尖った形状に形成されている場合、端部522aに撓みや折れ曲がりが発生する虞れがある。そして、端部522aに撓みや折れ曲がりが発生している状態で蓋520を本体110の表面に接着すると、蓋120の基部120Aに皺が発生する。
本実施の形態の蓋120の斜視図が図7に示されている。本実施の形態の蓋120は、前述したように、第1のシート121と第2のシート122との積層部分によって構成される開閉部120Bと、第1のシート121から一方側に延びている第2のシートの部分によって構成される基部120Aと、第1のシート121から他方側(基部120Aと反対側)に延びている摘み部120Cを有している。そして、基部120Aの、開閉部120Bと反対側の端部122aがR形状(円弧形状)に形成されている。R形状に加工する場合には、R形状の半径が設定される。基部120Aの端部122aがR形状に形成されている場合、図7に示されているように、端部122aに加わる力Fは分散される。すなわち、端部122aの剛性が、角形状等の尖った形状に形成されている場合に比べて大きくなる。したがって、端部122aに加わる力によって当該端部122aに撓みや折れ曲がりが発生するのが防止され、それによって、蓋120の基部120Aに皺が発生するのが防止される。
基部120Aの端部122aに撓みや折れ曲がりが発生するのを防止するための、当該端部122aのR形状の半径は、基部120Aの形状(蓋120の長手方向に沿った長さ、蓋120の長手方向に直交する方向の幅)、開閉部120Bを構成する第1のシート部材121の厚さ等に基づいて適切な値に設定される。なお、いくつかの大きさの蓋120について実験を行った結果では、基部120Aの端部122aのR形状の半径が1mmでは蓋120の基部120Aに皺が発生したが、1.5mmでは蓋120の基部120Aに皺が発生しなかった。この実験結果から、基部120Aの端部122aのR形状の半径は、1.5mm以上に設定するのが好ましい。基部120Aの端部122aのR形状の半径の最大値は、基部120Aの長さや基部120Aの所望の強度等に基づいて決定される。
図8に示されている蓋420では、基部420Aの、開閉部420Bと反対側の端部422aが面取り加工されている。面取り加工は、端部422aの先端側を切断する加工方法である。面取り加工を行う場合には、端部422aを形成する縁部のうちの一方の縁部に対する切断面の角度を示す面取り角度θと、端部422aの先端と切断箇所との間の寸法を示す面取り寸法mが設定される。例えば、面取り角度θは、基部120Aの、開閉部120Bと反対側の縁部422dに対する切断面の角度を示す。また、面取り寸法mは、開閉部420Bと基部420Aとの境界部420Dから延びる縁部422cと切断箇所との間の長さを示す。基部420Aの端部422aが面取り加工されている場合も、図8に示されているように、端部422aに加わる力Fは分散される。すなわち、端部422aの剛性が、角形状等の尖った形状に形成されている場合に比べて大きくなる。したがって、端部422aに加わる力によって当該端部422aに撓みや折れ曲がりが発生するのが防止され、それによって、蓋420の基部420Aに皺が発生するのが防止される
基部420Aの端部422aの面取り形状(面取り角度や面取り寸法)は、蓋420の基部420Aの形状(長さや幅)、開閉部420を構成する第1のシート部材121の厚さ等によって設定される。前述のR形状についての実験結果から、端部422aの面取り形状(面取り加工)は、面取り角度を略45度、面取り寸法を1.5mm以上に設定するのが好ましい。端部422aの面取り形状の面取り寸法の最大値は、基部420Aの長さや基部420Aの所望の強度等に基づいて決定される。
本発明の包装体は、ウェットティッシュ等のシート状物品に限定されず、種々の物品を収容する包装体として構成することができる。
包装体100の開口112は、本体110の上壁110aに形成したが、少なくとも一部が本体110の上壁110aに形成されていればよい。
包装体100の蓋120を基部120A、開閉部120Bおよび摘み部(先端部)120Cにより構成したが、基部120Aと開閉部120Bにより構成することもできる。
包装体100の蓋120の基部120Aを本体110の表面に接着する接着剤としては、基部120Aを剥離可能に本体110の表面に接着する接着力を有する接着剤を用いてもよいし、基部120Aを強固に(剥離不能に)本体110の表面に接着する接着力を有する接着剤を用いてもよい。
包装体100の蓋120を、第1のシート121と第2のシート122を積層して形成したが、3以上のシートを積層して構成してもよい。
本体110の上壁110aに開口縁112aに沿って切込み線を形成し、切込み線によって囲まれる開口形成部110Aを、蓋120に塗布された接着剤を用いて剥がすことによって開口112を形成したが、開口112が形成された本体110を用いることもできる。この場合には、蓋120の第1の接着剤123は、開口112に対応する箇所を除いた箇所に塗布するのが好ましい。
包装体100は、実施の形態で説明した構成に限定されない。例えば、包装体110の形状、開口112の形状や配設位置、蓋120の形状や配設位置は、適宜変更可能である。また、物品を包装体100に収容する態様としては、種々の態様を用いることができる。
