Definitions
- the invention is included in the field of covered parking for bicycles constituted by modular lockers, which serve to store and at the same time protect the bicycle from the weather.
- car parks for covered bicycles arose, in which the bicycle is placed inside a locker or container, so that it remains protected from any attempt of theft or dirt.
- JP 2004339905 an underground car park is described for housing bicycles where the bicycle is placed in a container.
- the container is a parallelepiped structure with an upper lid through which the bicycle is introduced.
- the patent ES 2180430 describes a modular locker for bicycle parking provided with means for parking and storing a bicycle.
- the bicycle is introduced vertically inside the ticket office and is trapped inside it by means of a complex mooring system.
- the proposed invention aims to provide a covered parking for bicycles, the installation of which does not require civil works, consisting of constructively very simple individual lockers, as they are constituted by a drawer and a chest of drawers, where the bicycle is perfectly housed and stabilized.
- the parking for bicycles object of the invention comprises lockers configured to house and keep a bicycle covered. In this way, it is possible to obtain an integral protection of the bicycle against theft, vandalism and the weather.
- the lockers are aligned by their side faces to form a variable length car park.
- Each ticket office comprises the following elements:
- a chest of drawers consisting of a parallelepiped structure, closed at the bottom, roof and two sides, - a drawer configured to be introduced in said drawer, constituted by a parallelepiped structure, closed in front, a side and a base, said base being disposed at an upper level of the lower end of said front, and
- - stabilization means located at the base and on the side of the drawer, configured to stabilize the bicycle in an upright position.
- the effort that the user has to make to introduce the bicycle into the drawer is minimal since the base only rises a few centimeters, just like a curb, so that the user can first climb one wheel and then the other With minimal effort.
- Each drawer has means for stabilizing the bicycle once it has been introduced therein.
- Such means consist of a pair of housings, separated and aligned, located at the base of the drawer and a stirrup located on the side of the drawer that serves to hold the saddle.
- the housings of the base of the drawer are sized so that the wheels of the bicycle are partially inserted therein, so that the bicycle is prevented from moving forward or backward once the wheels have been located in such housings. It is not It is necessary that the housings are too deep, since its object is to fix the bicycle longitudinally and keep the handlebar straight.
- the vertical stabilization of the bicycle is achieved by the stirrup located on the side of the drawer, which is rotatable to adapt to the different heights of the saddles.
- the stirrup allows you to hold the saddle and keep the bicycle in an upright position.
- the stirrup can be provided with a hook capable of catching the saddle by its rear part, which prevents the bicycle from being displaced from its housing if the drawer is closed abruptly.
- the housings of the base of the drawer are made from cuts folded in the direction of coupling of the wheels of the bicycle.
- the cuts define longitudinal flaps that allow the introduction and guidance of the wheels, and two transverse flaps that act as a stop at the ends of each housing.
- the rear transverse flaps of the housings can be folded 90 °, to prevent the bicycle from moving before the abrupt closure of the drawer.
- This solution can be combined with the stirrup hook to achieve more efficiency in the face of abrupt closure.
- the base of the drawer also comprises sliding means, which consist of four wheels mounted in correspondence with the four corners of said base. In this way, when pulling the front of the drawer by means of a handle, handle, etc. or by automatically opening the front through some electronic device, the drawer can slide until it is completely removed.
- the panels can preferably be formed from sheet metal, but it is obvious that they could be of another type of material, such as plastic, wood, etc.
- the parallelepipedic structure could be replaced by other means that allow obtaining a stable and sufficiently resistant construction for the drawer and the drawer, for example, from self-supporting panels reinforced in the meeting corners by "L" profiles or any other constructively viable solution. .
- the section of the drawer will always be somewhat larger than the section of the drawer so that it can easily be inserted into the corresponding drawer.
- Figure 1 Shows a perspective view of an alignment of lockers that make up a bicycle parking lot, with one of the lockers displaced from the rest, in order to appreciate the accommodation of a bicycle inside, with the wheels supported and embedded in the housings and the saddle fastened by the stirrup.

- FIG 1 shows a parking for bicycles (1) composed of a group of lockers that are aligned and where each ticket office comprises a chest of drawers (2) and a removable drawer (3).
- Each chest of drawers (2) is a parallelepipedic structure that is anchored to the ground and is composed of four paneled faces, that is, a roof, two sides and a bottom, and two unparalleled faces, base and front.
- a drawer (3) is inserted, which is also a parallelepiped structure, which has three paneled faces, front (31), base (33) and one side (32).
- each drawer (3) has means for its extraction / introduction, constituted in this case by wheels (35) mounted on the lower face of the base (33). These means can be completed with means that facilitate the sliding of the drawer (3) of those known in the state of the art, arranged in the base (33) or on one or both sides.
- the base (33) of the drawer (3) has two housings (34) aligned and separated, whose purpose is to locate the wheels (5) of the bicycle.
- These housings (34) are made from cuts, as can be seen in Figure 3 Once the cuts have been made, these are folded, defining longitudinal flaps (341) that allow the introduction and guidance of the wheels ( 5), and two transverse flaps (342) that stop at the ends of each housing (34). In Figure 4 and 5, the cuts are observed once they have been bent.
- Figure 5 shows a longitudinal section of the housings (34), where the wheel (5) partially inserted into the housing (34) can be seen. It is not necessary that the housings (34) be too deep since its object is to fix the bicycle longitudinally and keep the handlebar straight.
- the side (32) of the drawer (3) has a swivel arm (36), on which free end a stirrup (37) is mounted that allows to tie or hold the saddle of the bicycle.
- a stirrup (37) is mounted that allows to tie or hold the saddle of the bicycle.
- the stirrup (37) can have a hook (38) capable of holding the saddle by its rear part as can be seen in Figure 7.
- the way of introducing the bicycle into the ticket office is very simple, it is enough to lift it a few centimeters to place it in the plane of the base (33) and move it to the housings (34) for the wheels (5). These maneuvers are easily performed by any user including a child or elder.
- Figure 1 shows the drawer (3) extracted from the drawer (2) and being one of the sides of the drawer (3) without paneling, the user can enter the bicycle on that side.
- the bicycle is mounted on the base (33) and slides until the wheels (5) partially enter the housings (34).
- the longitudinal flaps (341) allow the introduction and guidance of the wheels (5) of the bicycle, while the transverse flaps (342) stop at the ends of each housing (34).
- the user lowers the rotating arm (36) of the side (32) to the height of the saddle and by means of the stirrup (37) catches the said saddle, as seen in the figure 7, so that the bicycle is upright and stabilized vertically, as can be seen in Figure 1.
- the front (31) of the drawer (3) is pushed, so that said drawer (3) is introduced in the drawer (2), at which time the closing device of the locker will be activated or activated, which can be a mechanical lock, an electronic closure or any other system (not shown in the figures).
- transverse flaps (342) rear of the housings (34) are folded 90 °, to become a stop more effective.
- This solution can be combined with the hook (38) of the stirrup (37), that is, the two, or only one of them, can be provided.
- the structure of the drawer (3) and the drawer (2) are parallelepipedic, it is evident that it could adopt other appropriate geometric shapes to be placed perpendicularly or on a battery, for example, when it comes to narrow streets.
- the roof of the drawer (3) could be a roof to a water.
