Abstract

　本発明は、滴下工法による液晶表示素子の製造に用いたときに、シール剤成分が液晶中に溶出しても液晶汚染を引き起こすことを防止することができ、表示品位及び信頼性に優れる液晶表示素子を製造することができる液晶滴下工法用シール剤を提供することを目的とする。 　本発明は、硬化性樹脂と光ラジカル開始剤とを含有する液晶滴下工法用シール剤であって、前記光ラジカル開始剤は、液晶に対して４重量％濃度で１２０°Cにて完全に溶解させた後、－２０°Cにて１４４時間放置後に上記液晶から析出しないものであり、前記光ラジカル開始剤は、溶媒中で測定した４０５ｎｍにおける吸光係数が５０ｍＬ／ｇ・ｃｍ以上である液晶滴下工法用シール剤である。
