Abstract

L'invention concerne un élément d'affichage qui est apte à réduire la variation de l'affichage autant que possible, même dans le cas d'une fluidité de liquide cristallin à l'intérieur d'une région de pixel en tant qu'élément d'affichage pour afficher des images à l'aide d'un liquide cristallin cholestérique. L'élément d'affichage est configuré pour comprendre une paire de substrats, un liquide cristallin encapsulé entre la paire de substrats, une première électrode formée sur un substrat de la paire de substrats, une seconde électrode formée sur l'autre substrat de ladite paire, une région de pixel qui est segmentée de manière à ce que la première électrode et la seconde électrode sont agencées orthogonalement en opposition l'une de l'autre, une structure de surface de paroi formée pour entourer la région de pixel entre la paire de substrats, et une partie d'ouverture dans au moins une région de pixel où une partie de la structure de surface de paroi est ouverte, de telle sorte que le liquide cristallin s'écoule sur une face de la structure de surface de paroi.
