Abstract

 本発明は、遷移金属と炭素材料との密着力が大きく、引き続く加工中に剥離または脱離が発生しない遷移金属被覆を有する遷移金属被覆炭素材料を提供する。本発明の遷移金属被覆炭素材料は、炭素材料の表面上に遷移金属イオンを含有する化合物を付着させ、熱処理を実施して炭素材料中の炭素により遷移金属イオンを還元し、遷移金属単体を形成することによって得られる。ここで、遷移金属はFe、Co、Ni、Mn、CuまたはZnである。また、本発明は、遷移金属被覆炭素材料を用いて、アルミニウム等の金属との親和性を改善し、優れた機械的強度および熱伝導性を示す炭素-金属複合材料を提供する。
