Abstract

 超音波信号の反射波の影響を受けないで、超音波発信源から最も先に到達する直接波の伝搬時間を正確に算出することを可能にする。  互いに異なる複数のM系列に基づき生成された複数の超音波信号を送信側から受信側に伝達され、受信側は複数のM系列のモデル波形を生成し、各モデル波形と各超音波信号の波形との間で相関処理を実行し、両波形が部分的に一致したときに現れる相関値の副次ピークを検出し、全相関処理で検出された副次ピークのうち最小の副次ピークを発生したM系列を最適M系列として決定する。送信側は電磁波信号と、前記最適M系列の初期条件に基づき生成した最適M系列により変調した超音波信号を受信側に送出する。受信側はこの超音波信号と前記最適M系列により変調された超音波のモデル波形との間で相関値を算出し、算出された相関値の最初の主ピークを検出し、電磁波信号を受信した時点と主ピークの検出時点とから超音波伝搬時間を算出する。
