Abstract
プラズマディスプレイ装置の放電効率を向上させることを課題とする。 プラズマディスプレイ装置は、プラズマディスプレイパネルと、プラズマディスプレイパネルを駆動する駆動部とを有している。そして、プラズマディスプレイパネルは、第1基板に維持電極、走査電極およびアドレス電極の3電極を有している。また、駆動部は、サステイン期間に、点灯セルでサステイン放電を繰り返し発生させるために、維持電極および走査電極に高レベル電圧および低レベル電圧を交互にそれぞれ印加し、アドレス電極に制御電圧を印加する。なお、制御電圧は、高レベル電圧と低レベル電圧との平均値より高く、非点灯セルにおける低レベル電圧が印加された維持電極または走査電極とアドレス電極との間で誤った放電が発生し始める電圧値より低い電圧である。
