Abstract

 カメラシステムにおいてモニタ撮影モードの利便性を高める。カメラシステム(1)は交換レンズ(2)とカメラ本体(3)とを有している。カメラ本体(3)は、撮像部(71)と、コントラスト検出ユニット(31)と、焦点ずれ量検出ユニット(5)と、ボディーマイコン(12)と、を有している。コントラスト検出ユニット(31)は、撮像部(71)により取得された被写体の画像信号からコントラスト値を検出し、コントラスト値に基づいて光学像の合焦状態を検出する。焦点ずれ量検出ユニット(5)は、位相差検出方式により光学像の合焦状態を検出する。ボディーマイコン(12)は、交換レンズ(2)側のレンズ情報に基づいて、コントラスト検出ユニット(31)および焦点ずれ量検出ユニット(5)のうち一方を選択する。
