Abstract

　最大ｎ（ｎは２以上の整数）枚のピクチャを参照してフレーム間予測を行う符号化方式により符号化された符号化ピクチャを有する動画像データを復号する動画像復号化装置（１０）であって、動画像データに含まれる符号化ピクチャを、フレーム間予測を用いて復号するＨ．２６４デコーダ（１００）と、復号済ピクチャを外部出力のために保持する外部メモリ（１０７）と、フレーム間予測の際に参照可能なｎ枚の復号済ピクチャを格納可能な内部メモリ（１０６）と、１枚の符号化ピクチャの復号開始前にｎ枚の復号済ピクチャが内部メモリ（１０６）に格納されているように、外部メモリ（１０７）から内部メモリ（１０６）に復号済ピクチャを転送する第二転送部（１０２）とを備える。
