Abstract
カテーテルシース及び駆動シャフトを備える光干渉断層画像診断装置のカテーテル装置において、取得される断面画像の方位方向の分解能を向上させる。かかる目的を実現するために、本発明にかかるカテーテル装置101は、カテーテルシース301内において回転駆動する駆動シャフト105と、駆動シャフト105内に配され駆動シャフト105と共に回転駆動する光ファイバ304と、光ファイバ304の先端部に取り付けられた光学部品305と、を備え、光ファイバ304内を伝送された光を光学部品305より、体腔内に出射するカテーテル装置101であって、光学部品305より出射される光が、カテーテルシース301を介して体腔内に照射された場合に、該照射された光の駆動軸方向の径と方位角方向の径との差が小さくなるように、光学部品305における光路上のいずれかの面が、該駆動軸方向または該方位角方向に曲面を形成していることを特徴とする。
