Damit diese Stufenbildung im Abschlußbereich vermieden werden kann, ist es bekannt, das Abschlußprofil formschlüssig mit dem Bodenbelag zu verbinden, und zwar über Nut-Federverbindungen, die sowohl einen Höhenversatz als auch einen Versatz des Abschlußprofils quer zur Stirnseite des Bodenbelages verhindern. Der überstehende Randabschnitt 16 kann aber auch in einen Aufnahmeschlitz 19 des Schutzprofils 17 eingreifen, wie dies aus der Fig. 3 ersichtlich wird.
