Abstract

Es ist ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur optischen Überwachung eines laufenden Faserstrangs aus Naturfasern beschrieben. Hierbei wird ein Lichtsignal auf den Faserstrang gesendet, welches an einer anderen Stelle der Oberfläche des Faserstranges wieder ausgesendet, durch einen Detektor empfangen und zur Bestimmung eines Fremdstoffes ausgewertet wird. Somit können die Licht leitenden Fremdstoffe von den nicht Licht leitenden Naturfasern unterschieden werden.
