Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication d'une pièce massive, destinée à former tout ou partie d'une anode pour la production d'aluminium par électrolyse ignée, et contenant un cermet formé d'au moins un oxyde métallique, tel qu'un oxyde mixte à structure de spinelle, et d'au moins une phase métallique, dans lequel on utilise un oxyde mixte comportant un métal R sous forme de cations dans sa structure chimique, ledit métal R étant susceptible d'être réduit en tout ou partie par une opération de réduction, au cours du procédé de fabrication, de manière à former tout ou partie de ladite phase métallique. Ce procédé permet d'obtenir un cermet dont la phase métallique comporte une distribution homogène de fines particules métalliques.
