Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein autostereoskopisches Multi-User-Display mit Fokussierungselement und schaltbarem Display zur zeitsequentiellen Darstellung von 2D-oder/und 3D-Bildern. In Richtung auf den Betrachter enthält es die Komponenten Sweet-Spot-Einheit und Bild-Matrix, die funktionell voneinander getrennt sind. Die Sweet-Spot-Einheit fokussiert eine grossflächige Lichtverteilung auf die Augen der Betrachter mit einer lateralen Sweet-Spot-Ausdehnung, die gleich oder grösser als der Augenabstand der Betrachter ist. Auf dem Weg zu dem/n Betrachter/n durchsetzt das Sweet-Spot-Bündel die Abbildungs-Matrix vollständig und homogen, wobei es mit dem Bildinhalt der Bild-Matrix moduliert wird. Die Sweet-Spot-Grösse verringert die Anforderungen an die Tracking-Genauigkeit. Die Sweet-Spot-Einheit besteht aus Beleuchtungs- und Abbildungsmatrix. Die Beleuchtungs-Matrix liegt etwa in der vorderen Brennweite der Abbildungs-Matrix und kann aus Backlight und elektronischem Shutter mit ansteuerbaren Öffnungen bestehen oder ein geeignetes anderes Bauelement sein. Entsprechend einer Ausführung sind Shutter und Bild-Matrix in ihrer Pixel- und Subpixel-Geometrie identisch. Die Abbildungs-Matrix kann ein Doppellentikular, holografisches optisches Element o.ä. sein.
